KisaKiss19 answered Monday February 26 2007, 4:35 pm: Hey,im not a genius but i have a lot of helpful tips you could try!:
1: Eat Reverse. Well, meaning, eating the most in the starting of the day, that way you burn the calories, and less and less for your second and thrid meals. One girl lost 100 pounds in 9 months,to know more about it try google.
2: Another approach is 5 small meals a day. And really healthy ones like fruits and salads.
3:Water, Water , Water! [i also heard green tea speeds up you metabolism, also peanut butter.] i'm telling you the food first, because about 70% of weight loss is from diet.
4: Swim like crazy, its fun and its a great way to burn calories, with out all the sweat. Also running, jumping, sprinting, things like Track and feild. Situps,Riding your bike,Crunches and Ab machines! But running & swimming is your best bet of all to burn calories. Also try cardio and yoga, wonderful.
5: To loose weight, you also have to sweat,so it'll take determination.
6: Look at your calorie intake. most things are based on a 2000-2500 calorie a day diet,so try not to go over that.
7:Special K cerial is a great food to look into,it tastes good and healthy!
8: I know i have a lot of tips, sorry this is long :]. Anyways, Did you know, your only supposed to have meat the size of the palm of your hand, and as thick as a deck of cards?! Its crazy i know,im not saying eat that little amount, but try to have little perportions of different things. Two handfuls of cerial, and one of pasta.
9: The Average person looses 2-3 pounds a week,so say thats about 15 pounds a month,or 12. im guessing around two months,it depends on how much you commit.
10:The Last tip I can think of,and probably most important. Find a Friend who will do this with you,so its funner,it goes by faster, and you'll stick to it more!
basketcase_x08 answered Monday February 26 2007, 3:26 pm: If you really are set on losing this weight. Go to your doctor. or to a dietition. They can work with you one on one to figure out what diet will work best for you.
but just some pointers, stay away from a lot of salt. sodium holds water, it'll make you gain a lot of water weight. You said you like sports and such, So try running. If you live in a warm area, near a beach, running on the beach is one of the best excersizes to lose weight. or running in the snow will give you almost equal results. Also Swimming works all of your muscles at once. Swimming laps every day (when you can, obviously not during the winter unless there's an indoor pool reletively close to you) is supposedly the best excersize you can get (... actually thats a lie, sex is. but I'm not going to tell you to whore yourself just to lose weight. that would be stupid)
Also. Oh. I saw on Good Morning America, if you buy small bags of microwave popcorn and eat ONE half an hour before each meal, You will eat less because the popcorn fills you up without much nutritional value. (Its safe. they did studies) and using a smaller plate at dinner time, and eating in a well lit room. Those are just some little things that will trick your mind into eating less than you want, but still enough to be healthy. [ basketcase_x08's advice column | Ask basketcase_x08 A Question ]

you don't need to use weights or a treadmill, there are some excellent, free exercises you can do in your bedroom. for some ideas, especially the abdominal exercises, try:
alternatively google such things as home free exercise weight loss
lifting weights, more than anything else, builds muscle, if it weight loss you're after thats bad, muscle is heavier than fat.
eat a healthy balanced diet ie you can still have your favourite treats but avoid fatty foods such as red meat, anything fried, processed food such as ready meals, too much salt, sugary foods eg biscuits and chocolate and also fizzy drinks etc.
eat lots of fruit and vegetables and wholemeal bread, rice and pasta, as well as some white meat (not fried), fish,, low-fat milk, eggs, beans and nuts.
also check out some books in a local library or check out www.nutrition.gov for more information on all areas.
DONT eat raw egg, you're putting yourself at risk from salmonella poisoning which is awful, believe me, both my brothers were ill with it for weeks and they only had it mildy but they camped in the bathroom.
Trina_boo answered Monday February 26 2007, 1:36 pm: Less is more..
Dieting has to be in a "healthy" way because you dont wanna starve yourself and end up looking like Nicole Richie"anerextic"
But I can give you ways of helping you to loose 30 lbs.
You have to run about 3 to 4 miles at least everyday.
If you wanna burn fat and gain muscle you can lift 10 lb weights everyday..
And to stay attive in sports such as track and field...
get an ab cruncher if you wanna loose fat of the stomache
for legs and arms use a tredmill
Cut back on fatty foods such as greasy fried chicken, all fastfood places have lots of caleries cut back on that
and just get lots of protein like a protein shake
This might sound gross but crack open 3 eggs without staring put in cup and drink it down its good for you...
