This is embarasing but I have pretty hairy arms. All my friends shave theirs and stuff but I heard that makes it grow back darker and stuff. I obviously don't want to get the lazer treatment done or anything crazy like that. Does anyone know any ideas of how to solve my problem?
girlmeetsboy answered Sunday December 31 2006, 1:20 pm: you can try nairing your hair. Nair is a a lotion you put on your arms and then wait a few minutes and wipe it off. along with the lotion the hair gets wiped off too. this does not hurt at all, but some of the lotions smell really bad. I dont know about prices, but their are a few different brands. The hair will not grow back as quickly as it would when shaving. hope this helped. i have the same problem - dark hair and pale skin, but i try not to let it bother me. i figure that if someone is bothered by my hairy arms then they're not worth knowing.
however, if it bothers you then something needs to be done about it. you could try waxing as this makes the hairs grow back slowly, thinner and lighter than before but it is painful. i would personally try lightening the hair. chemists will stock hair lightening kits and this is easy to do and causes no lasting effects.
