My name's Ammo and I'm here to give any help or advice on anything that I can. :] Firstly, if you were kind enough to come here and read up on me, I thank you.

I've been through a lot when it comes to relationships and life in general. I've seen and heard many things and have always felt it's nice to be able to share my experiences (both good and bad ones) with as many people as I can in the hopes that I can help others not make the mistakes I've made (and sometimes still make). Who knows, maybe there's a lesson or two I can learn from you as well.

I don't really use chat programs much anymore so e-mail would be the best way to get in touch if you wish to chat but if you really need to chat then I am able to do so via Facebook, Yahoo or MSN. I'm a very social person so don't mind anyone wanting to chat. ^_^

My fiancé and I are planning on moving in together so, that's plan A. My grandparents say that I need a backup plan in case things don't work out, like if we break up, where would I go? What should I/we do.

In a way I can see where your grandparents might be coming from but there are a lot of details here that could make all the difference in terms of what kind of advice a person can offer you, for example, are you moving into his place? Or is he moving into your place? Are you both getting a place together and if so who will be the owner of the property or under who's name will the property be rented under? All these are important in terms of where you will stand IF things take a bad turn. If it's your place then you wouldn't need to move anywhere as it's your place. If he owns the place then he could ask you to leave in which case (I am unsure of the legality of this as it varies country to country I imagine) you'd have to leave as he owns the place. If you both have equal ownership or both share the rent and the property is registered under both your names then I imagine there are a lot of added complicated on who it falls to to make sure the rent is paid in time (if you kicked him out do you have to pay your share as well as his?). There's a lot of questions here and to be honest you should find out what the arrangement is going to be and then if need be speak to someone who is familiar with all these details so you know exactly where you stand. You could also discuss this with your other half and just see what he says although it may not be the best of things to ask as it may indicate to him that you seem dubious that things will work out or you are having doubts about the relationship.

Hopefully however, you will never need to consider this as things will all be fine. :)

I've known this guy in my school for awhile now. We're not really friends but we've been in classes and what not. I do not have feelings towards him at all, but there's a few things I noticed. During classes, he completely ignored me. Not saying I particulary noticed that, but we just didn't pay attention to each other. Randomly, this year especially [even though I noticed it a bit before], whenever I pass him in the hallway, there's always eye contact not on purpose. I don't mean to look his way but if I'm just looking around while I'm walking down the hall, I'll see him with other people & look at them too, but notice that I'll accidently look at him directly in the eye and he does it too. I'm not saying "Oh does he like me!" because like I said, I don't like him. I'm just curious why this is. Does anyone have any ideas/opinions on situations like these? I wouldn't have thought anything about it, but it's almost every day. For example, if I'm doing something & turn around & turn my head, I'm staring right at him & he sees me & then turns his head & keeps walking. It could just be coincidence & for no apparent reason, but it happened too many times. It's just weird & I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on it. Thanks!

Hi.

It's hard to say what it could mean so it could be he finds you interesting or likes you (although ignoring you in class wouldn't seem right if that was the case) but then it could just be nothing but coincidence because if someone looks my way my initial reaction is to look back and look them in the eyes. This will generally cause people to look away (even I do). It could just be coincidence but on the other hand it could be any number of other things too.
Personally though I think it may just be down to coincidence - at least for now.

As for the title of this question which I found to be unrelated to the actual question, I don't hold looks in very high regard myself BUT saying that looks do play an important role. Unless you find someone attractive you wouldn't look at them let alone want to persue them to make something come of it. So looks become an important part unless you're involved with someone who you've never before actually seen. When someone had said beauty is in the eye of the beholder they were very right. Each individual has their own version and outlook on what 'beauty' means to them. Your definition of it might be completely different to mine so where you find one person very attractive I may not. Although many say looks mean nothing to them I find it hard to believe that someone can become involved in a relationship where they have no physical attraction to the person at all.

What would be the best method for piercing my own tongue web.
I know you're gonna say it's stupid and self piercing is bad.

I have quite a lot of experience in self piercing. I use gloves, make everything sterile and also use proper needles.

I haven't found much information about this piercing, but I love it.

I can't afford to go to a proper place, and I prefer self piercing.

Don't ''give advice'' if you're gonna say something like it's stupid!! Ewww Don't do it yourself.. etc.
Those don't answer my question.

I've also not been able to find much information regarding this piercing but judging on the location of where it is (and the risk if it's misplaced being dangerous to the sublingual salivatory glands) it seems it really wouldn't be very easy to do yourself.

If you are looking for reliable information and you just HAVE to do it yourself then I strongly suggest speaking to a professional piercer to get all the information you need from them as well as details on aftercare (considering where the piercing is located the aftercare involved would be a lot more complicated) and you need reliable and accurate details on this and not bits of information from questionable sources.

Let me be very clear here too... I'm NOT saying don't do it yourself because if you feel confident you can safely do it then by all means do so but since information is very limited on the net on this I just suggest speaking to a professional about the details you require or checking up on a reliable piercers web site.

was the the juce named Tropicana called that cause it was made in the tropics? i looked for it but i cant find it. lol its extra credit in my class cause we were wondering about that.

mm that juice was tastey. now im thirsty.

My guess would be that it was called Tropicana because the drink is made up of tropical fruits. It was the only conclusion that I could come to after doing a search all over the net and not turning up anything.

Got me thirsty too now...

when ur having sex what if the condom comes off in your vagina or up the anus. it was just a thought i had today =b how easily can a condom com off anyway i mean whats keeping it on anyway! and also if it did happen how would you get it out?

Interesting thought, hehe. Well, their usually on there quite tight (held in place by how tight they are around the penis since the penis will expand when erect anyway) so in effect they can just slide off (and to many probably have done so too) but generally if this happens it shouldn't be difficult to retrieve the condom afterwards just by pulling it out. If it happens I would imagine that the end/opening would still be visible on the outside of the person in question so if it slipped off it would just be a matter of grabbing the protruding bit and pulling it out and putting a new one on. If somehow it does slip off inside the woman in question during sex then I think it shouldn't be too hard to retrieve it just using two fingers. Although when it comes to anal I'm not sure how easy that would be.

What does it mean to 'live life to the fullest'? How does a high school freshman live each day to the fullest?

The best way to define living your life to the fullest is to have no regrets on things you had wanted to do but you never did. Living your life to the fullest means just that - to live your life to its full potential. To do everything you want to do and can achieve without letting the pitfalls along the way stop you from your objective.

If someone was to ask me if I've lived my life to it's fullest I'd say no because I have a lot of things I still have to do and want to do.

Don't you think that the following advice (The lawsuit part) I received from another website is bad advice: I think that anytime a manager is in a bad mood they should not open their mouth. With Tania it seems if she is in a bad mood she starts being unprofessional herself and creating a hostile work environment. I told you before and I will tell you again, if you want that woman removed quickly then you and at least one other staff member has to file a lawsuit against your firm for creating a hostile work environment. Believe me, once your company gets served they will move mountains to get Tania out of there because failure to do so could end up meaning they pay millions of dollars in damages to those who filed suit. There are federal employment laws against being treated the way Tania treats you all.

HERE IS THE STORY I ASKED ABOUT: I work in a large company. About a year ago Tania replaced the male manger who everyone loved. Tania is very mean spirited and is always moody. You never know if she is going to be mean or nice. She has caused such friction in our department that people are at each other throats. Our clients have been noticing a change in my coworkers spirits. And yesterday she called one of our most professional workers unprofessional due to the fact that this coworker had to leave because of an emergency at home. Tania will write people up for nonsense (for things she could just ignore).
The reason I think the advice is bad is because I need my job so why would I cause friction and file a lawsuit. After that I would have to quit my job. Also one major client called the CEO's office and told the CEO what is happening in my department

I do agree that the advice given would cause more problems that it would fix. As you said, if you went ahead and filed a lawsuit you'd probably have to quit your job.

When it comes to work and the environment you're working in, specifically when it's about the people your working with and they way they are towards you then the matter should be taken up with the person next in line above the person you have the problem with. It would then be handled and taken care of from there. If nothing is done then you could very well take it further up the chain of command but this in my view would be the best course of action.

Also, as someone else stated, the way this woman is could very well just be she is being very professional about the work as opposed to your last boss who may have been more relaxed and chilled out.

I was wondering does gum cover up the scent of alchohol? and i heard eating food can help you feel more sober? anything else? any special foods?

When you injest alcohol it will linger in your system. Once you get hit with it you can eat as much as you want but it will still take time to sober you up (as well as a lot of water and sleep). Some people are just plain unable to eat after being drunk because their body will throw it all back up. As for hiding the smell - I knew an alcoholic and everything they tried to hide it didn't work. If not the smell it was quite obvious they were drunk from the way they were acting, eyes, speaking, walking etc.

I would suggest if your going out for a drink then you eat FIRST. Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is just asking for trouble. As for hiding the smell, I suspect your not old enough to be going out and getting drunk - in which case just wait till you're old enough. Means you won't need to spend the night throwing up in some corner, waking up next to some weird guy you don't know or making a drunken fool of yourself.

Why in the world do guys like porn so much? Even if they have girlfriends, why do they feel the need to watch porn? Someone PLEASE explain.

I guess it's down to personal preference in some ways. I mean to be honest what guy wouldn't want to look at naked women? Even if they have a girlfriend or wife etc the opportunity is still there and more importantly they are doing so without cheating as such on their partner. It could also be to live out a fantasy (since so much various porn is now available to satisfy various fantasies) that the guys partner is not able to fulfil. There really are so many reasons, I could list reaon after reason as to why guys like porn even if they are with someone else but overall I would imagine it's down to preference (I personally don't like porn nor see any point of it - more so if I have a girlfriend).

how do i know how many stamps i need to mail teacher recs?

I've always found the best way to find out how much it will cost to post something (when it's not just a simple card or letter) is to take it inot the mailing/post office and ask them. :] Simple but straighforward really.

They'll weigh it up for you and let you know how much it will cost. If you want to you can ask how many stamps you'll need but I find the best thing to do is ask them the cost and then have them put the stamps on it for you (and pay them for the postage/stamps). It just makes it all easier that way.

14/f/nebraska

ok i live in a pretty calm town, and i have been to PLENTY of parties before of people in my class.None of them have been with any alcohol or even spin the bottle. wel i just got invited to a party that is going to have alcohol. all my friends are going, and all excited about it being their first time. The thing is, i am not very comfortable being around alcohol. like i dont know, i just dont like it, it just seems to ruin a lot of peoples lives, especailly when we are only 14. i REALLYY want to go, but i REALYY dont want to drink. but i still want to be cool. waht should i do?

Hi.

You've pretty much alredy answered your own question. :] If you don't want to drink you shouldn't have to especially just to be cool. I mean lets look at this in a logical way... you get drunk, throw up, talk crap, maybe get into a fight, have some weird guys trying to feel you up because you being drunk means you'll be easy, possible do something with some guy which you regret later - can anyone explain to me how any of that makes you cool??? Personally, to me, that looks more like how to make a total ass of yourself as well as look really stupid in the process. :/

I used to go out with friends who drink heavily and still do at times and I've never been considered uncool. It's actually quite funny watching them all make jackasses of themselves and since I'm usually the sober one it means I get to keep an eye on them all to make sure they are safe and that they get home safe. At your age people think it's cool because it's a big taboo since everyone says you shouldn't do it. Or, as you said, there's the whole wanting to look cool and be 'accepted'. I mean a lot of girls seem to think loosing their virginity at a young age makes them look cool (no, it really doesn't). It's all a lot of rubbish. If one of your friends got drunk and ended up in bed with some weird guy she doesn't even know I seriously doubt she's going to feel very cool the next day.

You seem to have your head screwed on properly and know what you want already so if you want to go to this party and feel you're strong enough to be able to say NO then by all means go and have fun. Trust me you don't have to get drunk to have fun or be cool. If you do feel very uneasy about being around alcohol then I'd say go with your gut feeling and refuse to go. Either way though I think, considering you asked this question here, you know you want to say no and I think you have it in you to be able to do that. Either way though do let me know how you do and how the party is, if you go. And good luck. :]

i know theres a gas that is way more dense than helium so it sinks rather than floating and when you breathe it in it makes your vioce lower rather than higher its kind of the opposite of helium. does anyone know what this gas is called?

Helium is 6 times more lighter than air (hence makes balloons float). A gas that is 6 times more dense than air (will in effect making it the opposite of Helium) and make your voice deeper is called Sulfur Hexafluoride.

Sulfur Hexafluoride can affect the sound of a person's voice if it is inhaled in small quantities. Sound travels through air at a rate of about 340 m/s. Through Helium this is speeded up dramatically to about 900 m/s but when inhaling Sulfur Hexafluoride the opposite of this occurs and the speed is reduced to about 120 m/s.

Is there a website where I can make mixes with songs? like make one song go right into another? or even better.. if i could have the singer of one song, singing their song to the beat of another person's song. i dont know if that's impossible but thank you for answers!

I don't know of any websites at all where you can do what you need however there are programs you can use which will allow you to create your own mixes. I created one using a number of mixes with a track from Prodigy.

The list of programs you can use for mixing is large but to name just a few (which I've personally used myself) are Internet Audio Mix, Virtual DJ, Fruityloops (advanced and hard to get to grips with but VERY good program) and PCDJ Red.

All will allow you to overlay tracks on top of each other BUT they won't (initially) block out music in one song so you can overlay the lyrics from it onto a different music track. For something that advanced you may need to use a recording studio. As far as I know there's no software that can do this and if there is then I am unaware of it I'm afraid.

Sorry I can't help you further.

I'm 15/f and I'm pretty much an animal rights wanna be activist freak. lol

I saw the SHAC demos put together into one video on youtube. I believe they're stationed in Europe...maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, are they going to come to Washington DC or somewhere in Virginia again? And could I join even though I'm only 15? Although I highly doubt my mom would let me be part of a demo but whatever. I just wanted to know how old you have to be in order to be able to join demos

I don't think there's any age restrictions on going to the demos although they may say you'll need to bring a guardian with you (just incase) although from what I have read about SHAC they are generally peaceful demos without incident. you're right, they are stationed here in Europe (you can have a look at their website at www.shac.net which can provide you a lot of information about them and what they do and such). As for them coming to or having any demos in Washington DC or Virgina I was unable to find any details of on their web site. I think the best thing to do might be to email them directly on info@shac.net and ask them. :] At the same time you can also double check on their standing on tyou attending any of their demos given your age and see what they say/suggest. I was going to email them for you but if you email them directly you'll get a more direct response and you can ask them anything else you need to ask as well. :]

hey. um well i have a problem. a little while ago, my spacebar just kinda like, got caught on something i guess & i have to apply a lot of pressure on it for it to work. i tried

- shaking the keyboard while pressing the keyboard to move any particles
- cleaning the keyboard with a blowthing that removies dirt & dust
- pressing the spacebar in different places to put it back in its original position

can someone help me? usually i just tap it & it would work fine. it's like there's something underneath it?

As Master_Betty said just pull it off. :] With most keyboards the keys are simply pushed into sockets so if you put a flat head screwdriver under the spacebar and slowly push it up and out it will just pop out. Keep a close eye open under it because the spacebar sometimes has an extra little bit under it (a metal bit) so you'll be wanting to put that back the same way afterwards. After that just clean it properly or remove and dirt and such under there and pop the spacebar back on and it should work fine after that. You may have to open the whole keyboard up if you cant pull the keys off or it still causes you problems in which case it will mean there is something in the way between the keys and the actual microchip board inside. As long as you're careful you should be able to put it all back together again but if you've got an expensive keyboard I would suggest having someone open it who know what they are doing.

on aim, i sent someone two messages in a row. i sent the first one, then waited about a minute and sent the next one. i got this message,

ATTENTION (8:42:28 PM):You are about to be rate limited. Please wait a few seconds before sending, to avoid being rate limited.
ATTENTION (8:42:36 PM):You are no longer rate limited, and you may now send messages.

what does this mean? i have never gotten this before.

thanks!

I don't use AIM much and haven't done so in a long time but by the looksof that message the system may have been under the impression you are spamming someone (sending a high rate of messages to someone) so they prevented you from doing this by limiting the number of messages you can send at any one time i.e. you can't send message after message, you have to wait a certain time between sending messages.

This may have been set by the person you were messaging or the AIM system, I'm not certain because, as I said, I don't use AIM. All I can suggest is don't message bomb people (send a stream of messages, one after the other) to people to prevent being rate limited again.

You should be able to see an explination of what it is as well on the AIM web site somewhere.

Okay, I'm Joel and I'm a 14-year-old boy/teen with a problem. See, I had this weird dream a few nights ago and it was that I came face to face with my "DARK SIDE" One of the things that are involved is the Yin-Yang symbol. Now, I don't know what it has to do with me and my evil side. Plus I want to know if people DO have a dark side, like someone inside ourselves who lives in our shadow. I really need help, please.

I don't follow any one religion (even though I am Sikh) but every religion has something to offer which explains things just a little bit more about ourselves and the universe and Ying/Yang is one of those things. One cannot exist without the other and in the same way everything in the universe has it's opposite - one thing can't exist without the other. In the same way it's true of us as well.

Our dark side could be considered to be our more uncontrolable and primal selves that we as the human race have managed to supress and push aside deep inside ourselves over the many centuries of evolution. It could even be our very essence which is what makes us good or evil - no one can really say for certain but I can say that we all have an evil side to us. To deny this would be to just lie to ourselves. We all have it in us to be able to commit acts of evil even though we may feel we could never do something considered evil. We don't get to choose much in life at all - like when we are born, when we die and such things but the one thing we do have a choice in is whether we are good or evil. But picking one will always mean the other side of it (yin/yang - you can't have one without the other) will always linger and be there. Looked at logically there's no way anyone can define what 'good' actually is if there was no 'evil' to compare it to. For example, we appreciate life but we only do so because there is death. If there was no death then life would have no meaning for anyone.

Sorry if that was not able to really answer your question more directly but I hope I have given you a little something to consider and think about.

wats the difference between platnium and just normal ps2 games??

i mean i bought some ps2 games ( i dont have a ps2 console yet getting one soon.. i know "why get games when you dont have da console? it was on special lol ) and it said platnium.

like do i need a special console to play them or something?? or can i play it with a normal ps2 as well??

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP !!

The term 'Platinum' is a status that is given to that specific title to show how popular it was on the amount shipped so rest assured you can play the game on your PS2 without any problems at all. :]

I'm not sure of the exact figures for games but for the music industry in Canada 50,000 units is gold and 100,000 units is platinum and in England (for albums) 60,000 is silver, 400,000 is gold and 600,000 is platinum.

The publishers of the game include this status on their cover art to basicaly show how good the game had done in sales. :]
