So, I am 17f and I have never dated anyone. I feel that there are certain types of guys that I really just want to stay away from (liers, cheaters, players, guys that only want sex), basically all the kinds I know. I have met a guy that is sweet, kind, respectful, and loving towards me recently.. the only thing is, I have had a rough childhood (meaning I can take things to the heart, I am careful with who I chose as friends, and I can find it hard to open up to people sometimes), people have backstabbed/lyed to me, and my mom has been through two divorces. My question is how can I become closer to this guy without allowing myself to feel like I am holding back a little. He is understanding, loves me for who I am, and seems interested.. one time he asked if he could kiss me and I let him kiss me on the cheek, but I keep wondering if I should of kissed him on the lips or if that was holding back. I mean whats wrong with a kiss on the lips? I don't know.. do I hold back too much? What can I do to stop feeling like I do?

Hi there ive been in the same position as you, all i can advice you as i am now 22 and looking back is, because of your childhood it seems to be worrying you but try to throw it out the window if it wasnt the best and start from fresh, the best thing to do is explain to him that you dont want to rush things but let hime know you are interested, by telling him and go for walks, watch movies, and from there see what happens.
I hope things work out for you. Eventally you will be able to trust him all in time

Don't worry at all i never got my first kiss until i was 16 i think thats because i never thought about it. When i was 16 i flirted with this guy i liked and i sent him an email to fill in about me and he did and we ended up going out. So i suggest if you like anyone in school send them that questionaire and flirt with them, sometimes boys are affraid of pretty girls because they think they will get rejected or something.You don't want to kiss just anyone it should be someone you like. I used to be in the same boat the more you make out the better you get!! theres no correct or incorrect way i mean my bf was like bit my tounge i was like ewww but everyones different.I do not like tounge biteing! just move your tounge around in the mouth and really concerntrate on the person like when they go one way go the other. kiss the lips alot and pull the lip out its really good. TAhis brings back memories of being 16 a year ago a boy gave me a hickie for a joke he gave me 3 of them and my mum was so annoyed. It does not hurt at all it just feels like someones sucked on your neck and it first of all goes red and then purple and then it lasts so long i had to walk about with it for about 4 or 5 weeks and it annoyed me so much afterwards because i wanted it to go away. I sugest if you want a hickie you make sure its small and not big one and don't let him do it too much. okay here it goes.. when i was 11, i meet this boy... lets call him bob, and he was sorta a jackass to me, so then we went on for about 5 years not talking to eachother. but we did see each other around the town, we didnt even say hi to eachother, so then i move from the town i was living in with my dad, and attend another skool, on my second day of my new skool i see him again, and then me and him started talking and i figured out that he really changed in those 5 years,but i found out he has a girlfrand, so i flirt with him and write him letters explaining how much i like him, then i invited him over to my house, and he makes out with me, and he cheated on his gf twice be4 breaking up with her.. he exclaimes hes sorry for how hes treated me and that he fell in love with me.. so 5 months later hwere dating and he asks to marry me... my problem is i love him but i dont kno if im ready for the commitment yet.. ok right well marriage is for life not a day i think you are way to younge i don't know how old you are but from you talking about school you must be around about the age of secondary school education which in my opinion is way to younge. I know you love him in which case tell him so tell him you love him but you feel you are too younge and can you continue dating and being close and who knows if you stay together you may get married when you are at that correct age and that age is when you have the correct job that you want and everything is how you want it he also needs to think about his future.If he cheated on his gf whats to say he won't cheat on you he probably won't but think of that and make it clear to him you don't want any cheating.Remember when you are married you are commited to that one guy and it is very very difficult to get out off. well when boys get rejected or laughed at they kind of take it hard. He probably likes you but he just wants to play cool. When you phoned him and he was not expecting it i guess he was silent because he liked you sometimes boys are like that i mean if a boy phoned me out of the blue who i liked i think i would be silent to hear what he has to say. Why does it matter if he tells everyone that you phoned him! Just say so??? its not like you confessed you loved him on the phone or did you hehe joking. Hey, I really need some advice..I hope you can help me.
so there is this girl in a few of my classes at school, and she is a total flirt..she always makes sexualized comments or does pilates in front of me or whatever, and I'm just like ok..CONTROL..lol. Last week we were filming a movie for Video Production class and she was wagging her tongue at me (the camera was on me, not her) so I completely messed up my line.. and then she was trying to hypnotize me and she was really close to me, and she was just pretty hard to resist. She flirts with me, but that doesn't mean anything, because she flirts with everybody pretty much.. and I'm pretty sure people have caught me checking out her ass during class.. I am a girl too, btw.
and just the past week I have started feeling some serious attraction to her.. I seriously can't stop thinking about her, and I can't focus on anything else when I'm in the same room as her.. which isn't that good if I'm in class, because she's a really big distraction to me. I don't know what to do, because the thing is she makes me really nervous and I get shy around her.. its weird cause usually I can flirt with people, but I can't even flirt with her because I'm so shy with her, especially when I'm alone with her.

ok this is a hard one to answer but im going to try. You need to ignore her as much as possible i know you have feelings for her and can't stop thinking about her. But you need to try and focus on something else because unless you both like each other and she likes you and you like her and you both want to be together forget it because theres a girl in my school and she told all the girls shes a lesbian and erm we kinda got scared incase she was attracted to one of us and we don't hang out with her that much... as much as we used to..So yeh say you to did get together people might not hang out with you anymore......

I was asked out to lunch with a guy that I'm just friends with (but have suspected that he has deeper feelings for me).
After we ordered he started to ask me all sorts of questions, like where was I going to find the guy of my dreams, and that prince charming wasnt going to knock on my door. Then he told me that he was worried that if I wasnt in a relationship by 5 years time ( I am 27 ) that I wouldnt be very happy.
The whole time the conversation took place he looking at me romantically, and after I finished eating, I applied a fresh coat of lipstick and he couldnt keep his eyes off me.
When we left it was pouring rain and he took his umbrella and covered me even though he was soaked, and walked REALLY close to me.
He has always been shy and would never say he wanted to be more then friends upfront. Do you think this was his way of telling me he wants to be my boyfriend? (link)

Ok well i know this is going to be long but i just need help.
this past summer summer 05' i meet the most amazing guy EVER!he was the completely best guy ever i meet him at a school dance i danced with him the whole night he was so cute to me and he was just adroable! I really felt in love so the first week of summer me and a few friends got together to go to the movies and i new he was going to it was a first date kinda thing right and well about 45 mins into the movie we kissed this was my first kiss. too and instead of just that first kiss we also made out that night and i just couldnt belive it. it was amazing i loved him so much. i always got in trouble for talking on the phone with him so late. But i didnt care i was in love we stayed on the phone all day long...even if we wernt talking we could sit there for hours with complet siclence and we'd be happy our next date was at my house he meet my mom and my dad they aproved and so on then he came back for a 2nd date to my house for a while with one of my friends my friend pushed me in the pool too and he jumped in and so on so we just all swam the whole day in our clothes. so we had a few more dates and things where like magic i rember one day we decidec to go to this little festival thing and we kissed this one kiss in the rain for like a min. and i dream about that moment all the time when im asleep so time past the summer went by and well things started getting boring... i didnt wanta break up but i had thought about it but i just didnt want to lose him so time past we spent longer time apart then school started i saw him there but he was a grade ahead of me so i he wasnt like in any of my classes then when i got home he called me he asked how my first day of school was blah blah and then like for no apprent reason he said Sarah i think we should see other people he said i still like you i just want to be single. i said ok and hung up i cryed all the rest of the day and cried that whole week because i really loved him.
SO now like 4 months after all this i still miss him just somehting i havent gotten over i have only been out with on guy since but i broke up with him cause i just didnt want to get back together and see i know i can have any guy in my school that i wanted i mean im not some but ugly fat chick ok but i just still miss him so much every time i hear out song i cry i dont know what to do i need help i would go out with another guy but like i dont wanta sound despret and ask another guy out i want some guy to ask me out but all the stupid boys at our school are to scared to ask me out i just totally need help

Right here i go first thing you should do is he obviously still likes you hes not going to get over you that quick. Maybe you should Flirt with some other boy who you like at skl just let him know you like him and im not saying forget the other guy i am saying he is trying to move on so you should try aswell and maybe if you get someone else he will realise he wants you. I know you miss him and i know its hard but just think hes not worth it if he said that to you.. usally they come back to you after a while but its if you want him back or not. hey now before you read this and hate me u should hear the story..... we grew up together! are mothers were bestfriends and a kids i was always his girlfriend! we grew up telling eachother that we were going to get married! he was "my boo". when we got older our relationship got seriouse and we had grown apart but still had feelings for eachother that we kept alive. we would kiss and hug and call eachother on the phone! when i truned 16 i met this guy and he took me to my prom! and of course he got jelouse and went and slept with my friend. i was so hurt sghe knew how i felt about him and did it anyway! they ended up going out for 2yrs and there still dateing! i thought our realationship and everything we had was over! i was so sad and depressed! but then like 4 months ago he came and told me that he was still in love with me and he cant stand seeing me and not being able to hold me so we did a few things together!! but nothing sexual! i swear!!! but he is still going out with my friend! i feel so guilty and i wanna tell her but at the same i dont wanna hurt her but i still have deep feeings for him! wat should i do? should i give him up? should i keep sneaking around? or should i tell her the truth and leave them both alone! i know im horrible and you guys are gonna hate me but i feel guilty and im looking for help for the right thing to do! Ok there is no real answer to this question but i will try and help you. The first thing you must do is leave them and let them be. I know it is hard but if you continue the way you are going you will get more hurt and also be feeling guilty and hurting your friend. So what you could try is tell him if he loves you he needs to explain that to your friend because if you told her she would never be your friend again because she would think you are jealous and want them broken up. The thing with love is you can't control it so basically if he really loves you hes going to come back 2 you in his own time but you need to be strong and walk away now even tell him you have someone and you can't creep round to see him anymore. Its the best thing 2 walk away because you might end up losing them both, plus he will have more respect for you if you do. i mean he knows u know he is going out with your friend. so leave him plus think about it this way if he never comes back 2 u. he was not worth it. ok so he loves you and you love him thats good. i think the only way you could stop feeling depressed is to think you will see him soon. Think of how you will be moving to where he is. Its not good to let him get to much in the way of your grades and things. Try and work and when you work take your mind off him. Im sorry there is no ingredient but i think what i said could be the only way. Ok don't listen to people they might be jealous and if the people are girls they might want your man! you never know. If you think this is true then you need to ask your bf no one else if he says its true you dump him not him dump you. If he does say he wants to break up find out why he wants 2 otherwise it will always play on your mind why did he break up with me ect. Make sure when u see he is going to dump you dump him first! Don't let anyone who is jealous break you up especially if you are happy i let someone break me up with my bf and i wish i never now. but i realised he let the boy break us up so he never loved me.
