Q: Dear Advicenators,

I am a 16 yr old girl And I like this boy that works at a local grocery store. he is also 16. We flirt alot and we always smile at eachother, and we have hung out once with mutual friends,and i always go through his line but the thing is he wont ask me out. I was told he liked me and he knows I like him, but i dont think hes ever had a girlfriend before, and I am very traditional and I dont feel comfortable asking a boy out. what can i do to get him to ask me out, i think were hanging out again this weekend. Help!

Q: Well, my friend "Sarah" likes this boy named "Jason" in our youth group. She made it clear that he is her territory, though he doesn't like her like that at all. My friend "Kia" is "Jason's" brother, who is my best friend. She told me that "Jason" likes me, and I like him. The sad thing is, our youth group strictly is against dating, so it wouldn't really go anywhere even if we tell each other.

So what it all boils down to is, "Sarah" doesn't know I like "Jason", and I'm going to keep it that way. I just don't want her getting mad at me when we flirt with eachother ((b/c we do ALOT)). I don't want to make her mad, but I don't think she should run my life just b/c she likes him.

Q: I will try to make this as simple as possible. Im a 42 yo male, however I do not feel like it nor do I look like it or act like it. Most all my friends are 20-25, I can hang with them and act just as crazy( with out being ingnorant) but I can also be the adult when I have to be. Q: Hello, just wondering how I should go about telling a girl how I feel about her. I am semi-overweight and not really that confident yet. Q: A guy that I'm friends with and hoping will be my bf one day keeps giving me mixed signals. One day he'll be sweet and attentive and tell me things I want to hear; and the next he's mean and cold. For example; one day he told me that he wanted to be with me and hoped I wouldnt marry someone else. Then another day he sarcastically told me I needed a man in my life. He can also make some rude comments about women in general; like "women always need attentiong"; and that men are smarter than woman. One day I took him to play tennis and the whole time he critized me. Everyone tells me I can do better but I feel I really love him. Even with all his faults he's still really sweet sometimes- once he gave me his computer and desk and when it was my birthday and phoned me and sang happy birthday and mailed me a gift (he lives out of state). He'll also say Bye Beautiful everytime we sign off on msn messanger. What do you think I should do?

Q: has it ever happend to you that in four and a half years two of your exboyfriends are so shy and your current one is as well?? wel thats what is happening to me at the momment. look, my boyfriend is really cute and sproty and is the mosy populer boy in the class and he is sooooo shy. he hasnt even kissed me or atleast hold my hand. all he says to me is 'no you did that question wrong'or'im sorry'or'you s**ty head'. the only thing that melts me down is 'i miss you'or 'i love you'
i really dont want to dump him so what should i do

Q: what is the best way to tell someone that you do not want to be thier girlfriend anymore, but that you still would like to communicate with them, remain friends, ect? it's just that our relationship has never really been more than "just friends," except that we've been calling ourselves a couple... as in he doesn't pay for me, touch me unless he has to, ect. And I would like to have to opportunity to see other people if it comes up. Q: Okay well this guy who claims he "likes" or "loves" me or whatever.When we talk it seems like he really does like me but then he'll suddenly tell me that he has a crush on some girl and then he'll be like are you mad? and then ill just say i dont care when i really do because he's kinda messin around with my feelings you know? and then like the next time we talk he'll jsut ignore the whole conversation we like just had the day before or like just a minute ago.I mean he tells me when he thinks certain girls are hot and stuff it just kinda bugs me but i try to look past it because i know guys have their hormones going and like they dont usually like or one certain girl,but i was just wondering if he really does like me,and why would he tell me about what other girls he thinks are hott or he likes like whats the point of doing that? or is it just a thing all guys do ?

Q: alright so heres the deal. me and this guy used to go out. we went out like 6 times, and one time was almost for a year. He's always the one dumping ME, but somehow we end up back together again. Six months ago,he broke up with me so were not currently going out, but i still really like him, and i think he likes me again, too.Maybe he changed, but Im not sure if i should just keep giving him chances? but i really like him. Q: Ok, so theres this guy and I like him. He flirts with me a lot, but idk if it's intentional or not. We have a really small class and I'm the only girl he admits being friends with.
