I've only been in love once, and i found that this quote completley defines love. It's from the bible (1 corinthians 13), but taking religion aside i think it's a fantastic defintion and a way to know.

My first love, lasted for four years, we were never in a proper relationship (14-18) as i wasn't allowed to date till i was 18, haha yes parents orders but it was a relationship without the name. We shared everything a normal relationship would. We started liking each other at 14, and we really liked each other but didn't start seeing each other till we were 16. However by that time he was the most popular boy in school, his ego and friends manipulated his thoughts which ended in the demise of our relationship. To be honest we were on and off for those two years, but the last year of our relationhsip were constantley together. After high school finished for both us (both seniors)i went to travel the states for 2 months (i live in england) and when i came back everything was different, he had missed me but gotten used to life without me(not seeing me 5 days every week), so me leaving for uni wasn't as hard for him. The night before i left for uni he was supposed to come round to my house, he never turned up, i saw him in town 5 days later after coming home for the weekend, and his last words to me were 'i will make it up to you annabelle, but whatever happens i know your going to go so far in life'. To this day i carry those words around with me, i still love him and i am still getting over it, and i know he still cares but life goes on. If it wasn't hom that broke it off, it would have been me just later down the road.

OK...so me and this boy were talking about 7 months but we have only been together for about 2. Anyways it was love at first sight and we're crazy about each other, yesterday he actually got down on one knee and asked me to marry him...i love him and my answer is yes but i think we're too young for that.I'm 17 and hes 19 any advice is helpful. Umm well i agree with one person who said it would be a good idea to be engaged for a while. I mean that way you really get to know each other before you are married. However i was also crazy crazy in love at 17, and like i would have married the boy, seriously i would have. You know if he had asked me i would have been at the nearest chapel in vegas, but wow now i'm like so thankful that it never got to that, because yes i loved him, but no it would have not been a good marriage. I really don't think you should get married at 17, i mean you may be one of those lucky couples it works out for, but i think your instinct is spot on and you should wait a while. In any case wait till you have been dating a year, because like my mum always told me that like the first two years of the marraige is blissful and then reality sinks in. So, like you've only been together together 2 months, i would give it more time.

last year i wrote this kid i had a crush on a note saying i thought he was cute. after that note, i talked to him 2 times .. one right after i wrote it and one time in the summer .. i did it regardless of the fact that he told my friend that he did not like me, but thought i was a nice girl. now at school, we just completely ignore each other .. but his friends always stare at me, so i know he told them the whole story & i see him glancing over at me from time to time in the halls. but it probably means nothing. i just feel like a failure. i'm 16 and i've never kissed anyone. i'm not ugly & i get compliments all the time that i have nice clothes and that i'm really pretty, but i don't ever really talk to guys. i hear things that some guys think i'm cute, but thats it. i make small talk but thats as far as it ever goes. they don't talk to me and i'm really not friends with them, which is really pathetic. i'm just shy around guys & i thought doing what i did last year with the note would get me somewhere, but it didnt. it just made things more awkward this year. i mean, the kid isn't an angel..he smokes weed all the time & does shrooms on a regular basis..but he is the nicest person and is shy just like me. he is insanely hot and honestly every time i look at him he gets more beautiful everytime. i know he's probably not the best person to like, but there has been so many coincidences between us that its kinda creepy. (too many to name)and its just so weird how nothing has happened ever since i wrote the note in april. i dont know. what did i do wrong? what am i doing? i just dont understand how i've been single & unkissed for 16 years while everyone else is so far ahead of me. there's no other guys to like .. trust me ive tried. theyre all idiots and extremely immature. the one time i actually really like someone who is really attractive&a good guy at heart, nothing works out. Firstly i do relate to your story, because that was very much like me when i was younger. To be honest, you kind of identify the problem, it's because your shy around guys, and like don't feel bad about it, just every day make a goal, talk to one guy more. Smile more, be friendly, in my last two years of high school i made friends with a lot of popular girls who identifyed my problem which is that guys sense insecurity and shyness in a girl, and it makes them feel kind of ackward too. Like think of the geek in your school and talking to him, it's kind of ackward..right. Not that your in the same league at all, but do you see where i'm coming from? Try not to get too hung up on this guy but definetley smile at him and say hi when you pass in the corridor and dress up really cute, act as if it doesn't phase you that he doesn't like you back. Also try to meet more guys by getting a job or making new girl mates who can introduce you to more people, or hanging out were there are guys.

To start off, I'm a guy in college. I have easily had 15 crushes in my life (one one true relationship) and I can usually talk to the girl even though I'm really shy. But this girl in one of my classes has the most beautiful smile and I am extremely attracted to her. Like more than any other crush I've ever had. She is always looking over in my direction, and at first I didn't think it was at me, but today we made pretty brief eye contact. So I think she may be looking at me. But I am just so amazed by her or something that everytime after class, I get cold feet and can't get up the nerve to talk to her. I have even seen her coming down the hall twice, and I freak out so much I can't look her in the eye and smile. I know I'll regret it forever if I dont talk to her, so is there anyway for me to get up the confidence to just go talk to her? Okay so I know what your going through ahhh to the button i have been through the exact same problem and you know what it took me 2 years to atcually have a conversation ..thats a long time, it was so worth it though but he was so awesome i couldn't believe he would want to talk to me.
I would suggest that you dont think about it when you see her coming take a deep breath and dont plan what you are going to say, just do it. Find a moment, she drops her pencil or shes alone at her locker, do something funny, get her intrest. Dont start off with 'hi blah blah' like if she has a badge with a peace symbol on it go up to her and be like 'so you wanna be a punk rocker with flowers in your hair?' i mean thats a really really lame example but what im trying to say is get a mutual ground. You never have a chance to make a first impression. From your question it definetley seems she likes you, definetley especially keep the eye contact and smile, and even if you havent introduced yourself maybe when she passes you in the corridor nod at her briefly and say hi and then promptly carry on talking with your mate. It will leave her intrested.

gahhh like thats really horrible for his mum to do that..but basically shes prolly like overprotective or just jelous of you..maybe her son talks about you ALL THE TIME...maybe write her a letter along the lines of 'i hope we can be friends' or something. Sorry in advance for it being long. I'm 14/f and there is this guy that I really really like. The thing is we don't talk much, we don't see each other a lot, and earlier this school year he said I freaked him out. Well, during this year he has been flirting with me, and my friends noticed too. He hugs other girls, and awhile back he said he doesn't hug me because I'm too specail for his hugs. Then a couple days ago, one of my friends asked him why I don't get hugs. And he said that I don't want his hugs. I just want him to notice me, and we could talk more. I went to the movies with a guy I like last night and we had a really great time. I gave him a handjob and he fingered me. Look im 14 (15 in 5 days)and ive been offered modelling contracts and people say im beautiful. But i've never had a boyfriend never hooked up and never had sex. And yes i want a bf too. But you must realise that there is a sterotype in films that its a great thing to have a bf but its hard work. And your time will come my suggestion is to act confident be yourself smile to random people.And maybe it will work because in the end you will find the prince charming of your dreams.

i had that problem..there isnt a specific answer that works for everyone. Just get out and look for the good in guys that what i did . think of things you like about in guys you know... not very helpful but thats what i did and it worked for me

maybe a teddy isnt the coolest thing for a guy in the uk one of the retro things are nike rucksacks but not the big ones the ones with like ropeish straps that go over your shoulders in different colours. There like £5...$10 at the max.
Maybe you could get him one of them with a box of ferrero roche in the bag and wrap it up cute n sassy!
