About Nevaeh314

Ask me about: Social Situations, Relationships, Depression, Suicide, Health, How to Deal with Loss, School, Random weird things that don't fit into any of the above ;) I think I'm pretty good at giving advice, just ask and I'll give it my best shot. I've experienced a lot of it, and I don't mind doing a little research if I haven't. I love playing piano, clarinet, in general I just love music, and I love to write and read, poetry especially, and I love mathematics, physics, and oceanography. I've been told I'm mature for my age, but I don't know, I just think that a person has to be who they are, true to themselves, and not worry about what fits into an age group. I love simply living as best as I can, working when I have to, and having fun. It's all in your perspective. Just a quote that I like "Dreams are made and broken, potentials realized and never reached, all on the breath of one phrase: It could be."

what does the song "konstantine" by something corporate mean?

I used to listen to this song about a hundred times a day, let me conjure up my memory. It's about two people in love going through some pretty tough times, they're separated not by distance but by differences in their own lives, and about trying to get through that. It's about keeping the connection of an initial love going even when it feels like it's not there. ("It's to Jimmy eat world and those nights in my car, but this time I'm alone, and I can't see those stars, I'm not your star. Isn't that what you said, what you thought this song meant?") I think it's kind of a confusing song, too, because Andy kind of just rambles on about all the times he's screwed up and his gf won't take him, but it kind of resolves itself at that part "I always catch the clock at 11:11, and now you want to talk. It's not hard to dream, you'll always be my Konstantine." Anyways, kind of a long answer but I love that song.
Hope this helps!

does anyone know any good songs for a lyrical dance solo? thanks!

Try "Listen to Your Heart" (words and music by Per Gessele and Mats Persson)
"I'm Not That Girl" (from the musical Wicked)
"For Good" (from the musical Wicked)
These are all really flowing, expressive songs that I could see a dance solo being done to.
Hope this helps!

(15/f) Okay well I'm an alto and I'm singing a solo in Italian and my highest note is a high F but I can't reach it without struggling. I do voice warm-ups but I can't reach it.
Does anyone know how I can get my voice higher without making it crack or sound horrible?
thanks in advance!

How long is the note held out for, and are you singing it for solo & ensemble? I have the same problem just about every year.
Try a bit of lemon juice in water, it seems to do the trick. Practice breathing from your diaphragm (don't let your shoulders rise up at all) and make sure you have the right embuture (sp?) ask your vocal instructor to monitor the way that you're breathing and your vowel placement when you go up to the F. Even if it doesn't seem like it, its your breathing that almost completely controls your range.
If you play a musical instrument, one that requires air to be forced through it, play it for 20 mns before you sing your solo. Seriously. I can normally hit an E without trouble, I can hit an A after playing my clarinet for a bit.
Drink tea. Preferably something minty.
If none of that works, go falsetto (your head voice). It sounds a bit airy but it's better than not hitting the note.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Hey, I was wondering where I could find free keyboard/piano tabs/sheet music for Coldplay songs. Thanks in advance :)

~*~*~Lauren~*~*~

Try pianotabs.net, I've gotten lots of good tabs from there. Sometimes it requires knowledge of like actual tabs, but a lot of times they're written out as sheet music. Hope this helps!

hi well my mom works with this woman named Faith. And she has 2 sons and there in a band. And they heared I sing. And they need a lead singer. And I would like to now different warm up exrssies to get ready for my try out got any ideas?

Start by inhaling for four seconds through your nose, and then hiss it out four 16 seconds. Make sure you're breathing through your diaphragm, your shoulders shouldn't move as you inhale or exhale. Then, do four head tones (Make your voice as high as you can go and just yell out in a Hoo type thing four times...sorry this is really hard to explain by typing), and then run through a couple of scales or what you're going to sing. Preserve your voice for about two days before your audition, don't drink anything with caffiene in it, and don't yell or whisper. All of these are horrible for your voice. Drink lots of water. Good luck! Hope this helps!
