With the money I get for my birthdy next month I plan to buy some sort of MP3 player. I have been researching it on google. I have come to, two different MP3 players I might consider buying. Zen Micro 4GB or the iPod Mini 4GB. My boyfriend has a iPod mini but I don't know if that is what I want because I'm always hearing people complain about them including my b/f. So before buying either of these do any of you know any pros or cons of either products? any help will be very appreciated. Also of there is any thing tha you feel is better than these products let me know
My friend has an ipod mini and he has dropped it on concrete and nothing has happened to it. Both brands have their ups and downs, and i have heard of many problems with the ipods, but that is probably only because more people own ipods than Zens. One thing about the Ipods is the battery. that is one reason I have not bought one; the lithium battery does run down and eventually wont hold a charge and then its 50 dollars to replace. I don't know much about the Zen They're both cool, but the ipod is more original. Check the prices too, the 4 gigs have dropped.

I want to take the words out of a song on a music CD,and some how,(DO NOT KNOW HOW),record the same song with my voice. I want to use my computer to do this. Can anyone tell me HOW this can be done,IF IT CAN,or some ideas on how to do this at low cost,cheap software,computer recording trix,any advice no matter how little will help. Yes, you can. There are a few ways you can do that. Audacity and GarageBand will enable you to record, edit, ect. sound files. GarageBand even comes with sound libraries (uber-cool lol). But, GarageBand is only for OSX, so unless you have an Apple, get Audacity. Both of those programs rock.

What you'll need to do is import the song onto your computer as an MP3 and then open it with one of these programs. With Audacity, you will need to go into the prefrences and make sure "Play other tracks while recording a new one" is selected.

i have a lot of url codes for music and they play on windows media player. is there anyway i can get them onto a cd? it doesnt do it on windows media player so how else can i do it? thanks!!
If they're streaming urls then you cant do that unless you record it as raw audio, lets not get into that. If they're urls to download files then you can just click save as and put it on your desktop or somthing and then open it with your media player (WM, Itunes, ect...) and then add them to your list of things you want to burn onto a CD.

If you're going to be playing by yourself then you should probably get somthing more than a bass.

Im a fairly avid musician that has somewhat recently purchased a brand new LTD-B55 bass (if you are unfamilliar with the product - its a five string) from a local music store. Well, i've been prolonging it for quite some time, but its inevitable. I need new strings.

Ok. The other day I was downloading music onto my ipod. I already had about 200 songs on there and I got 30 more to import onto it. Well i connects it and hit import and the ipod said the thing on the screen when it says do not disconnect. Then when it got done, i was checking the songs and it deleted every song I had on there and didn't even copy the one a picked out to copy on. Does anyone know how or why this happened and is there anyway to get all the songs back, because I got a new computer and so the songs that were on it before were on my old computer. Any help please!!!
Yep. That's the one bad thing about Apple's Ipod. Whenever you get a new computer or connect it to another computer, you have to re-initialize the Ipod.(unless you partition the disk, but lets not go there right now) Unfortunately, there isn't a way around this. Sorry, there really isn't much you can do here unless you can get your old hard-drive out of your other computer.

If I buy a MP3 player and I want to get some of my favorite songs on there, then where do I get the music? I think/heard that you download it from the internet, but I also heard that was illegal. Is there a legal way for you to get music for your MP3 player? And if so what is it?
You can download them off the internet for free; thats not totally legal. But, you can also buy them and download them, which is perfectly legal. Another think you can do is buy the CD and load them on to your computer and then load them from your computer to your mp3 player.

You could sing about moral issues or things going on in the world today. Or you could do somthing like what Weird Al does and just make fun of other people's music. Another thing would be making songs from Bible verses. Or you could make songs about relationships...the only thing about that is everyone does it and it does get annoying after a while; just look at Relient K and Hawk Nelson.
