last week i weighed in around 98 pounds and i had been pretty stable at that for awhile now, i saw my doctor last thursday and i got him to take my weight and height i weighed about 85 pounds i lost like 10 pounds in a week. iv had my bf telling me he's worried and people from work and family. I see why but its not that I'm anorexic or belemic or something I do eat. I actually eat quite a bit. Today is tuesday and weighed in around 83 this morning I'm starting to worry myself but i don't know how to gain the weight back I'm still dropping. I do have a specialist appt booked for tomorrow morning at 9am to see but i don't think he will tell me much about it. I am very acive and don't wan a give that up just to gain weight. Is there certain foods i can eat or specialized diet? I eat a lot of fast food and take n bake pizza drink a lot of water juice and pop and i just switched to homo milk instead of 2% to try and bring up my fat intake. otherwise I'm lost tho... (link)

Hello,
Well weight loss that significant is very serious. You really should speak to a doctor about this, because it is not normal or healthy to lose that much weight in that amount of time. But like you say, you have an appointment coming up, so at least that's a plus.
I have a question: Is your weight loss visible on your body, or is just on the scales? Because sometimes, home scales are not really very accurate. Doctors' scales are far more accurate, and so the difference may be for that reason. If however, you are seeing the weight loss from your body, then it is worrying.
In regards to food, you don't really wan't to pile on masses of fat because that is unhealthy. If you want to gain weight, you want it to be lean muscle. Although fast food and pizza and such taste good, they are unhealthy. For a plate, you should have half of your plate filled with veggies, and the rest should be carbs (wholegrain pasta, rice, potatoes, wholewheat bread) and protein (chicken, turkey, eggs, beef, lamb, fish, beans, etc). Because you want to gain weight, put more emphasis on the protein which will keep you fuller for longer.
And of course you should carry on remaining active. Running, swimming, cycling are all very good ways of exercising, but also focus on weight training to help increase your muscle.
In short: see a doctor if you are suffering from drastic weight loss, as it may be something much much more serious. Eat a healthy diet to gain weight, rather than eating fast, and fat filled food. Exercise frequently, focusing on gaining muscle to increase your weight.
Good luck, and I hope I helped :)
