I worry all the time. About everything. For a period of time, I went without sleep because i worried about
all these bad things happening. What should I do? How can I stop worryig all the time?

I worry all the time too, I know how problematic it can be.

This is what I find most helpful:
Whenever you find yourself worrying, especially when you can't sleep, write all those worries down in a list. Then go through the list and cross out all the worries you can't do anything about. For example, if one of your worries is 'I think I did badly in a test' or something irrational like 'I'm worried about terrorism' (irrational in the sense that it is totally out of your control) then cross it off because there's nothing you can do about it now.

Then go back through the list and write solutions next to the worries you CAN do something about. For example, next to something like 'I haven't done my homework' write 'first thing tomorrow I will go and speak to my teacher about the problems I am having with this homework and ask for help/an extension.' Or next to 'I'm having problems at work', write 'tomorrow I will speak to my boss'.

Another thing I find helpful is to talk through my 'worry list' with someone. An outsider might be able to offer you some perspective on your worries and make you realise that alot of them aren't as bad as you think or are irrational.

I find that once I've covered these worries and thought them through properly, it's much easier to put them out of my mind, at least temporarily.

If you're still struggling with your worries then it's time to see a doctor. You might need some form of therapy to help ease your anxiety.
