My best friend is a boy and I am a girl and like all love stories everyone thinks we are going to fall in love, get married and live happily ever after. So, what does it mean if his good friend started a rumor around school that I like him? The whole school thinks we like each other, because of his friend. Does that mean my friend likes me if his friend did this? Thanks!

It most likely just means his friend is a douche bag.
