about

I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

I have 15 tattoos, and 8 piercings. I'm married and just gave birth to a baby boy in May. I'm currently a SAHM so you can find me taking care of my son and binge-watching television while he naps.

advice

I'm 17, driving.
I can't drive much because I need gas for my car and my parents can like only give me soo much moeny you know. I need a job.

I live in a very farmland area, So, I applied to stores that are like 10 minutes away. That was back in April/May when I first got my license. I never got hired, and then summer came and I just figured I'll have my last summer to have fun and play tennis and stuff. Last month (October) I figured stores will start hiring for the holidays. So I reapplied at all them stores. Well it's November and I still haven't heard. I did reapply for a third time, and this time I moved to another town which is 20 minutes from my house. It's just soo frusterating. I walked into one store to hand my application in today and the lady flat out told me, "You didn't fill out your employment history" I was like "yeahh..." and she goes "We can't hire you if you never had a job before." It ticks me off because it's a body lotion store. Like, I don't understand How am I ever gonna get a job if they only hire people who already have jobs.

Also, my father had to take a pay cut and my mother's work is going on strike. So, like I want a job just so I don't have to ask for money. I'm 17 my parents try to treat me like an adult and me asking for money makes me feel like a helpless baby. Any Advice on my situation??

I was in the exact same boat as you up until July of this year when I got incredibly lucky. I had little to no job experience & places never even looked at me. I had a similar experience to yours. The guy looked over my application real quick, and he said "You don't have any job experience?" and I said "no." Apparently, it didn't cross his mind that this might be my first job & that I was looking to gain experience. :|

Anyways, the other day my boyfriend told me about www.snagajob.com. This site is LEGIT. I made a profile like 2 days ago, and yesterday morning I applied for a job at Macy's. That same day, they called me and I have an interview tomorrow. Go to that site, make a job profile, and type in your zip codes. They will find places near you that are hiring. I'd definitely give it a shot.

Just put down on the application that this would be your first job & that you're looking to gain work experience. I'm sure once they see that, they'll be a little more lenient. Good luck! I'm sure you'll find something. :)
