about

I'm a mother of 2 boys who are 13 months apart. Talk about a handful. I'm a wife to the best husband I could have ever dreamed of.
I'm one of the very blessed.

I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.

Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.
I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.
I like to see it as a perk, because it's better to hear the truth than to be told candy coated bullshit.

advice

In two days I will be 14 weeks pregnant. I get headaches/ migranes like a bus just hit me. tylenol doesnt help what so ever. My doctor gave me some kind of medicine that has helped i dont like taking any tylenol unless I have to. but its to the point i cant cook clean nothing. any advice on trying to prevent them or get rid of them in away that i dont have to use medication.

Though Midol is a good thought, DO NOT TAKE IT.
You are pregnant, and VERY limited on what you can safely take. Stick to Tylenol, or what ever your doctor may prescribe.

As for the headaches, I got them during both of my pregnancies, and I hate taking medicine, too.
When they would come on, I'd lay down in a dark room, or cover my eyes with a towel, or something. Then I'd lay still until I would fall asleep. 9 times out of 10, I'd sleep it off.

Sometimes standing in the shower with water as hot as I could stand beating down on my neck would help, or I'd tilt my head back so the top of my head would be in the water stream. This is best if the room is dark, too. Light aggravates a migraine, as I'm quite sure you are perfectly aware.

Sometimes you can't fall asleep, and sometimes the hot water only makes the pain go away for a short period of time, but I'd try the shower, followed by trying a nap before I'd take meds.
Heck, I still do it that way.

Sometimes you got to take the Tylenol, though. There is no point in suffering like that, really.
