i just want peoples opinions if this sounds like friends with benefits to me.. it doesn't. I just got out of a long relationship awhile ago and this guy ive known since 8th grade, started talking more and we use the term were "friends with benefits"
1. Every time he signs on, or comes back from away on AIM, he IM's me instantly
2. He calls me at least twice a week usually aroun 11pm and we talk till about 2am
3. We talk about personal things, family, past stories.. ( i had to get an abortion because of medical reasons, i could have died ) we talk about that..
4. He sends me nude, and not nude pictures and vise versa
5. He have NOT actually hooked up YET he works a lot and i work a lot and were always busy.. we talk about hooking up though
6. He always knows when somethings wrong, and he always asks whats wrong
I could probably go on, but ill stop there, does this sound like a friends with benefits relationship.. i like him more than a friends but he doesn't know that.. he has asked me and i was like you tell me first and he said he wouldn't know until we hung out more what does this sound like to other people?
'Friends with benefits' is generally when you have a friend who you end up having sex and/or making out with on a regular basis. I might add that from my personal experience, these kinds of relationships never work, especially when extra feelings develop.
I suggest you talk to him. None of us know him or what he's thinking. If you like him, you'll only feel worse if you carry on with a friendship like this knowing that he doesn't feel the same. You need to be honest with each other.
The nude pictures thing is worrying. As you are under 18, what you are doing is actually illegal. There have been stories of teens who have actually got into trouble with the law as these images are classed as indecent. As this guy is 20, he could get into even more serious trouble as not only is he looking at pornographic images of a minor, he's sending you ones of himself. I would highly advise you destroy these images and refrain from taking any more until you are 18.
