I have been on ortho tricyclin(sp?) for the last 4 months. I go to planned parenthood to get it because I'm sexually active and dont want my mom to find out.
The problem is that I'm sick of going there, I have to wait for and hour and a half just to pick it up and I have to pay. I've decided that I want to tell my mom that I want to go to the gynocologist just to get a check up. Is it possible that I could ask the doctor to put me on the same form of birth control but she could tell my mom its for my period? And how long does it usually take to get an appointment? I don't want to ask my mom, findout I have an appointment a week from now and then not be able to take the birth control because it would screw up my current month (that sounds confusing but it makes sense haha) I want to stop taking it at the end of my last pack so that I wouldn't be off it too long until I can get perscribed more.
My last random question is if I go off birth control, will I lose the weight in my boobs that I've gained? haha. BC has made my figure more curvey and I would hate to lose that because I didn't really have one to begin with =/ Thanks so much, 17/f

So i was a little confused on the whole first question part. i think i can help though because i was on ortho-tri-cyclen for almost two years. i wasn't using it for sex, i was using it for my periods and i went with my mom and we both told the doctor that it was for my period. so yes just tell your mom that you're on it to regulate your period. i actually had to switch birth controls in december and things got screwed up so i had to not take any form of birth control for a month and then go on a new one and it really didn't screw things up at all. i still get my period when i'm suppose to and when i was off the birth control i think my body was so use to getting it when i was suppose to that it came at the same time, if that made sense haha. you will still have to pay for the birth control by going through the doctor, but maybe if you told your mom about it she could help pay? my mom pays for mine (: i know it can get pretty expensive. is there any way that you could get another pack of your birth control at plan parenthood and then go to the doctor and talk to them about you going on the same thing? i hope this is making sense. when you ask if you go off birth control, does that mean for good? or just for like a little bit? because when i was off it for a month, i didn't see any changes. i didn't lose weight, anywhere. maybe it is different with everyone's body but i'm sure that you won't see a huge difference. i hope this helped you! if you didn't understand something, or have any other questions feel free to ask. ♥ LU
