I'm considering buying this laptop...
But I don't know much about Alienware.
All I know is that they're good for gaming..and that's what the laptop's needed for.

But yeah, I'd like to know about your experiences with their laptops?
Is it worth the money?

In my experience, a laptop of any calibur is always going to be inferior to a desktop in terms of gaming. Even when it comes to mobility, I'd personally rather put up with the hassle of transporting a tower and a monitor to LAN parties than having to play on a laptop.

That said, you've picked a fine laptop to consider buying. Just the thought is duel GeForce 8700Ms in SLI is drool-worthy, and a terrabyte of HD space isn't bad at all, either. The only slight downfall is that the screen is only 17 inches, which is a bit small for people who are used to 19 and above (like myself).

Considering the power you're getting for your money, I'd say it's worth the price, assuming you're going to be using at least a good chunck of the power you're buying.

Edit: Actually, listen to Theymos. He's a wiser man than I.
