I feel so lost. I was working as a cashier 5 months ago and I stole a gift card worth $33 from my job. I am 30 years old and have never gotten in trouble in my life before that. I was arrested in front of my coworkers and humiliated, went to jail, went to court and faced petty theft misdemeanor 1 charges. I got the sentence reduced to M4 disorderly conduct in hopes of not totally ruining my life. I have applied for many jobs and gotten turned down for all. I am getting married in a year, have no money. I have applied for minimum wage jobs and am qualified for much better jobs. I do know that I can get it expunged in 2 years, but how do I live until then? How do I feed my kids? I paid my fines, went to theft course, paid restitution, paying $550 in civil fines. And will be punished for the next 2 years. My life is falling apart for $33.00. Ending it all has entered my mind, I feel worthless!! HELP!

You know what, I feel this way a lot of times. Suicide sometimes feels like the best way to do things. You know what thoug, life is a challenge. It is hard writing this to you now even, cause i'm like who am I when I have felt the same way. It is ok though, There is always a way. Bob Marley says in one of his songs that when one door is close many more are open. That is so true of life. There are so many career opportunities that you can get involved in. Like "The Team" which is a network marketing group, Melaluca, that is network marketing too. There are lot's of things you can do. You have to remember that your choices don't define who you are. There are just moments in time. Things that happen and you get through them and you deal with the results and you work through it. There was a time when you couldn't walk and you couldn't get what you wanted, but eventually you got there. I'm sure there have been times where you may have lied and someone found out and didn't trust you the same, but you got through it. This is the same. $33 is not worth it, $1,000,000 is not woth it. There is no price on you life. There is no price on what you will learn in your life. There is no price on your children. You have to believe in your self and know that everything is going to work out. This is just a bump in the road, even though while you are climbing it it seems like a mountain. There is a book that I would like for you to read, and if you do not read they have it in a DVD...it is called The Secret. It is about the law of attraction. You can use this to better your life and your situation and how you view the situation. I am feeling kind of sad today cause I just got my first ticket ever (in my mom's car) and I am a great driver, and I'm 24. Things happen, you can get through it. There is another book that you may of heard of called A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. It is beautiful. You really should read it, anytime life throws something at me and I am feeling lost, I read this book. If you are not in a position to buy it, please, for you, go to Borders or Barnes and Nobles and read it. They let you do that for free and they don't bother you, you could stay there for hours. Take a note pad and take notes. There are so many stories that I could tell you of people who are feeling the way you are feeling right now. I would have to write a book. If you read these books though, and exercise what they teach you, I promis you, you will start to feel better and you life will improve. More than you could possibly imagine. You are successful. You will have the right career at the right time. You are a great parent. You can over come anything. You are great. Pray, if you pray...and trust. You will be fine. :) *kiss*
There are no jobs in this world that are loser jobs, there is a place for everyone, there are many people who have reached enlightenment because of working a humble job. My mom works a humble job and that place would fall apart without her, or someone working that position. I work a humble job, The owner of the most famous japanese yakiniku restaurant worked at mcdonalds for 4 years before he opened up Gyu-Kaku and became a millionaire. It will be ok. :) Hit me up if you need to talk...i will even give you my e-mail.
Peace
