I first signed up because I saw really simple computer questions with no answers, and I just had to answer them. Today, my column still has more answers to questions about computers than anything else, but feel free to ask about anything. I can follow up on questions too.

I read somewhere that women should avoid having too much caffeine while on their period. I don't remember the reason...does anyone know?
Also, if this is true, why does Midol have caffeine in it? I imagine that it is to relieve fatigue often caused by menstruation...but if it really is bad to have caffeine during your period, why would it be an ingredient?
..oh, the box on Midol Menstrual mentions that a dose (2 pills) has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee.
I wanted to know mainly cause I just got my period, and it's crunch time with exams, so I really can't avoid coffee right now.

Women are advised to avoid having too much caffeine during their periods because it can make their cramps worse.

However, Midol contains Acetaminophen, which is a pain reliever, so it would ease the pain from cramps anyway. Since many women also experience fatigue during their periods, caffeine is added to help reduce this fatigue.

Good luck with the exams, and don't get used to drinking too much coffee! :)
