About The_MoUsY_spell_checker

I first signed up because I saw really simple computer questions with no answers, and I just had to answer them. Today, my column still has more answers to questions about computers than anything else, but feel free to ask about anything. I can follow up on questions too.

I have been the featured columnist on 16 October 2005, 01 May 2006, 18 December 2007, 12 July 2008, 02 February 2009, 08 March 2009, 24 May 2009, 29 September 2009, 12 November 2009, 05 January 2010, 06 January 2010, and 26 April 2010.

hey you guys, 15/f. im a sophomore. i just got a few math problems i cant figure out how to solve. we did it last year, but im so confused. can you help me out? here are some, if you can teach me how to solve them rather than giving me the answer, thanks. and you dont have to do all of them, one is fine! thankyou!

SOLVE FOR X ON ALL!
1.) ax - c = b
2.)x - c
----- = d
2
3.)fx + 3y= 2z
4.)e = rx
5.)2p = kx = q

THANKS IN ADVANCE! please answer soon! =)
lots of love!

Basically, if you want x, just move everything else to the other side of the equal sign.

First of all, if there is anything added to x, minus it on both sides. Similarly, if something is subtracted from x, add it to both sides.

For example, in 1), ax - c = b, so add c to both sides, and you have ax = b + c.

Now, if there is a letter in front of x, divide both sides by that number. Similarly, if x is divided by a number, multiply both sides by that.

So, continuing with the example, if ax = b + c, divide both sides by a, and now we have x = (b + c) /a.

Now try the others for yourself. Just make sure you have the orders of operation right.
