Alright well i want my bellybutton pierced soooo badly.

...But my parents are dead set against it.

My cousin, who is a year younger than me, recently got it done.

I want it so badly.
I'm 14..

...What can I do!?

It's not a good idea to get a piercing or even a tattoo, just because someone you know got one, and you want to fit in or feel better about yourself because of it, or you'll feel older or accepted. I wouldn't get one, because in a few years you will probably regret it. Plus, it's hard finding a trusted piercing place that is safe and that sanitize all of their instruments so that everything is sanitary. Piercings also require a lot of maintenance, so if you're a lazy person and don't take proper care of your piercings, you could get infections, which can sometimes be deadly...

I wouldn't get a piercing, because piercings offer more cons than pros. Your parents are also just looking out for you and doing what's best because they care about you. Be glad that you have parents that care about you, some teens are the way they are because their parents don't care where they go, who they're with, or what they do. You gotta hand it to them; being a parent is a tough job with a lot of responsibility. Give them some props for doing what they do. :)
