I've been through quite a bit in my life: My mom had cancer when I was little, so they gave her a pace-maker to fix it. (over the next 6-7 years the radiation ruined her heart valves!) Then, my dad left us when I was in 6th grade. And, my mom found out that she had to have a heart transplant, which she did a little over a year ago! She got re-married and is living a happy and healthy life now!
So, I know about a lot of things, especially family and boys! So, if you have any questions at all, please ask! My friends are always coming to me for advice! And, I love giving it! So, ask away!

so theres this guy... and ever since the third grade off and on we have both really liked each other. well we went out for like a week but we broke up but hes still my BEST guy friend. so im not really racist or anything but hes indian. im white. i really like him. i just dont know why but i cant get over the fact. i dont know what to do. and i know i sound amazingly shallow but come on. you know it has to be different dating a person of a different race..... thanks (link)

Hey! Well, you 2 sound just like me and 1 of my best guy friends! He's hispanic and I'm white.... We've been best friends since 2nd grade! We did try dating a little in middle school, but we broke it off deciding that friendship is for the best! Going through that just made our friendship stronger! My advice: Just stay friends! It's ok to crush on him! I still crush on my best guy friend... but we NEVER want to ruin our friendship! So, good luck! Hope it all works out!

One of my best friends, Sandy isn’t allowed to have a boyfriend (at age 13). She has one, but can’t hang out with him around her parents. One of my other friends, Casey, lives across the street (and is friends) with Sandy’s boyfriend, Mike. Since she can’t see him at any other time, she is always spending time with mike at Casey’s house, and never with us. When she’s with us she either is hanging out with him, talking to him on one of our cell phones (her dad has a recorder on her cell), or talking about him. We don’t want her to do anything stupid, so we want to keep an eye on her, like the great friends we are. We don’t want to be around her when she’s like this, but we want to keep protecting her and being her friend. What should we do?

Dear Losing a Great Friend To A Guy,
First off, I understand what you're going through, my friend did the same thing... She had a b/f that her parents didn't approve of and made them break-up, but they secretly stayed together, but in the end decided it was best to just be friends... In your situation however, I suggest you try to talk to you friend about what she is doing, and ask her if she thinks it's wrong or not.. She's sneaking behind her parent's backs and lying to them! She needs to realize what she is doing is wrong! Tell her that she needs to confront her parents about it, and tell them the truth! Because, if they find out another way, she could get into a lot of trouble! Just try to help her, guide her to the right choice! Try sitting down with her and tell her to ask her parents about maybe changing the rule. That she's only allowd to see him w/ friends around, go on double/group dates...! I hope I helped! Hey! My sweet 16 was August 3rd, just 2 days ago! Even though it was in the summer we had a blast indoors and out! My mom took us all to get manicures! We also went to the movie! Then, I had a sleepover w/ kareoke and guitar hero 2 all night long! It was a blast for me and all the girls! Just some ideas! Hope ya have a good bday! Cya!

I wasn't really sure what category this would go on, but oh well...
I have all of this belly button lint, as well as lint from the clothes in my laundry, and I don't know what to do with it all.
I was thinking of using it for decorating my scrapbook, and maybe dyeing them and putting them up on my walls.
I was also thinking of going as a playboy bunny for halloween, so I could use it as part of the puffy little tail or something...
Any other ideas? I'm out of them...

Well, with the lint from your laundry you could make little lawn gnomes and I'd say definatly go for the playboy bunny for Halloween thing! My other ideas...OH! So basically, my hair is reallllly dry/damaged from me straightening it everyday.
Well sometimes, I don't wash my hair so it stays straight, and I skip a day or two. But it looks downright AWFUL if I don't straighten it.
So I was wondering if I could do anything to un-damage it?? (link)

hey! my hair is the exact same way! ok, first off, you should get this kind of shampoo that i have, it's herbel escences (sp?) dangerously straight shampoo. i started using it the beginning of this summer, and i hate straightening my hair in the summer, so i thought i'd try it, and my hair dries straight on its own if i use it! (if you dont lay down after you get out of the shower of course!) haha! so, try that for straightening your hair, and as for the damage... try the panteen (sp?) damage control shampoo... it's suppose to repair your hair in like a week? so, hope it all goes well!

this is two questions in one..
i have a bad right knee, it hurts on the left side of my kneecap, like the inside of the knee. it hurts when i lock my knee out, and it hurts a lot more when i bend my knee.
first question:
WHAT KNEE BRACE SHOULD I TRY?
it started hurting about three weeks ago. i told my mom and dad that i needed to get it looked at, but they said that i'll be fine. you see, i'm in cheerleading, volleyball, softball, and track. it's not that i get hurt a lot, it's just that something differnt hurts at each practice. but this knee thing, it's been a constant pain, even when i'm not tumbling, running, jumping, ect. so when i'm just laying in bed, it hurts.
second question:
HOW DO I GET MY PARENTS TO LET ME GO TO THE DOCTOR?

Hey! Ok, I have the exact same problem with my knee! Not even kidding! On my right knee too, the same thing! And, I'm in cheerleading and track! It started giving me problems last year when I started high school! i got a special kind of knee brace for the condition of wats wrong w/ my knee. You do need to go to a doctor to get it checked out. Becuz, with my knee, the brace and the pills they gave me arent working, so i might have to have surgery.... This is a very serious matter, get it checked out ASAP! Good luck! hope it turns out ok!

so we went out a year ago and recently started talking again, he replies to a bunch of my myspace bulletins and ims me on msn all the time. he recently called me to walk around with him at warped tour, but then backed out, and when i saw him at warped tour he invited me to walk with him but i walked away, and when i saw him again there he stared at me and spit water at me and threw a condom at me (jerk) and then when i ran into him a 3rd time at warped he wanted me to walk with him again but i said no again, and he was supposed to talk to some other chick and i asked him if they were going out and he said i dont know and my friend told me that was because he didnt want to tell me the real answer, and ive asked him where we stand before, but that was after him and a serious gf broke up, so he was still upset over that, and like he asks me to chill, but he always just wants to have sex, even though i always tell him no not unless its with a bf.. so i dont know, what should i do. does he like me and if so, how do i find out, and if he doesnt, how do i get him to lol
*please dont tell me hes no good for you blah blah blah, believe me, i know, save the speech, i get it from everyone else, and dont bother wasting your energy and time replying with an answer that will probably just waste my time and upset me*

Hey gurl! Well, the way it sounds I think there's a small chance that he might like you. But, I think he's prbly still a little upset over his last breakup w/ his serious g/f... Just give him a little time, and if he doesn't ask you out after awhile, maybe tell him that you like him. I mean, wats the worst he could say to you? "I don't like you in that way." SO wat? You'll find another guy! And, girl, if you're thinking about having sex with him, DONT do it until you KNOW that you're READY!!! Don't do it as soon as you start going out, wait until you know that you're ready! Good luck!
