so theres this guy... and ever since the third grade off and on we have both really liked each other. well we went out for like a week but we broke up but hes still my BEST guy friend. so im not really racist or anything but hes indian. im white. i really like him. i just dont know why but i cant get over the fact. i dont know what to do. and i know i sound amazingly shallow but come on. you know it has to be different dating a person of a different race..... thanks

Hey! Well, you 2 sound just like me and 1 of my best guy friends! He's hispanic and I'm white.... We've been best friends since 2nd grade! We did try dating a little in middle school, but we broke it off deciding that friendship is for the best! Going through that just made our friendship stronger! My advice: Just stay friends! It's ok to crush on him! I still crush on my best guy friend... but we NEVER want to ruin our friendship! So, good luck! Hope it all works out!

Its different dating any other person, because everyone acts in a different manner. I say, keep crushing on him and just let him stay a friend. Who wants to ruin a good friendship? You may get into a relationship, and something may happen that causes you two to break up. Then you may not be able to maintain a good friendship anymore.
