But we used to be really really good friends

I HIGHLY doubt you like him. Maybe you lust him, which means you are attracted to him. But like is you like them for everything - their personality, who they are. People change. Obviously, this kid has changed if you USED to be friends. I think that might be why you like him...you still think of him as the way he was when you were friends with him. But, you cant change him. He seems like a real jerk. Someone that hates you and calls you fat is NOT worth your time. Please get over him. Forget about looks. Say, if he wasnt attractive would I like him? If we hadnt have been friends would I like him? Chances are, no. You need to realize there are better people out there who you'll miss out on if you waste your time on jerks.
