Q: My hard drive got erased for the third time (yuck) and every time, I wasn't able to deauthorize my computer (to play purchased music) Also, my friend's computer is authorized, whcih stinks cause I don't talk to her anymore.
Is there a way to deauthorize my "other" computers (say, from before the hard drive got erased) or can I just make a new account (with the same credit card number?)
Thanks, any help is much appreciated!!

I would suggest calling up Apple and talking to them about it. There is almost definately no way to do that by yourself, so if you explain the situation to them, I don't see why they wouldn't help you out. Good luck.

Feel free to ask me any questions or for an alternate way of contacting me through my inbox.
I really like giving advice, so thats why I have a column here. I've been inactive for a long time, but I'm back and will do my best to catch up. Advicenators is a great site and it is what we make it. Having my own advice column helped me learn a lot of new things, even about myself, while giving me the chance to help others along the way. Thanks.
