I have one of those AIM virues that sends everyone IMs with links and stuff. Well, I've ran my viruse scan like, I don't know, 8 times and it didn't catch it. So how am I supposed to get rid or it?
If I delete AIM off my computer and redownload it, will that get rid of it?
no no no no no! don't waste your time deleting it and redownloading it! i had the SAME EXACT problem. you said that you have virus scans. i have McAfee and whenever the IM came up i would get an alert from McAfee saying that a program wanted access to the internet. and i found out the name of the virus and then searched for it on my computer and deleted it manually. do you ever get those alerts? well the name of the virus that was on my computer was "rcss.exe", so then all you need to do is search for it on your computer. you can do this by right clicking on the START menu and choose "search" then type in the name of the virus and hit search. then delete the file once the search is complete.
