I know this is kind of a stupid question to ask because I shouldn't care what people think, but I'm new to my school and I want to fit in and not get made fun of so I was just wondering if Etnies and DVS shoes are just for "skaters" or what. I don't want to be called a poser - and I know I shouldnt care what people think - but like I said, I'm new and don't want to get made fun of. Thanks in advance.
This is a stupid question, however I will answer it, but it probably wont be what you want. As you know, you are expecting a "who cares?" deal, in which case you're right. Who cares? People have different styles. Do what I do. GO by what YOU like. Even if its a pink shoe. Who cares? Go by your own style, not what is cool, or makes you a poser. If you go by that, you have no style, and you have no personality. You only go by what others will like. Especially since you are new, you have the PERFECT opportunity to set your own style. Wear what you like, and the people who dig your style will come to you and you will make friends you are most compatible with. Not ones who have the style you are stying to go with so you dont get made fun of. However for fear of ruining my awesome score, I will answer this the way you want so that I could get a 5 from you...(even though my advice is worthy of a 10...;-) )
What I wear are adidas pro shells. I.E. The black shoes with white stripes and a white toe like converse has. They are extremely comfortable, and freaking awesome. You wont get insulted or called a poser. You could also wear Converse Chuck Taylors. Lots of people wear them. However, wear what you would like. This is my own opinion.
