I know this is kind of a stupid question to ask because I shouldn't care what people think, but I'm new to my school and I want to fit in and not get made fun of so I was just wondering if Etnies and DVS shoes are just for "skaters" or what. I don't want to be called a poser - and I know I shouldnt care what people think - but like I said, I'm new and don't want to get made fun of. Thanks in advance.

Etnies and DVS are called skater shoes because they are designed to withhold skater style and pressure. They are in style and you have pretty good chances that you wont be made fun of!

This is a stupid question, however I will answer it, but it probably wont be what you want. As you know, you are expecting a "who cares?" deal, in which case you're right. Who cares? People have different styles. Do what I do. GO by what YOU like. Even if its a pink shoe. Who cares? Go by your own style, not what is cool, or makes you a poser. If you go by that, you have no style, and you have no personality. You only go by what others will like. Especially since you are new, you have the PERFECT opportunity to set your own style. Wear what you like, and the people who dig your style will come to you and you will make friends you are most compatible with. Not ones who have the style you are stying to go with so you dont get made fun of. However for fear of ruining my awesome score, I will answer this the way you want so that I could get a 5 from you...(even though my advice is worthy of a 10...;-) )
What I wear are adidas pro shells. I.E. The black shoes with white stripes and a white toe like converse has. They are extremely comfortable, and freaking awesome. You wont get insulted or called a poser. You could also wear Converse Chuck Taylors. Lots of people wear them. However, wear what you would like. This is my own opinion.

they are a skater kind of shoe... but hUN! who CARes?! bE original! if your not a skater... but loves etnies or DVS shoes... then buy them! they probably look hOT anyways! part of going to a new school, you shouldnt care what other think! i'm sure you'll make a lot of friends cause your original! aNd if anyone makes fun of you... their jealous and your better then them anyways! good luck doll!

Aw. Etnies and DC's & Vans are a skater brand of shoe, thats just what their called. They sell them in skateshops and things of that sort. Their not just made for skaters, I dont skateboard and I own a pair of etnies and vans, lol. If you do decide to get them and people call you a poser, dont let it get to you. You dont buy them to pretend your something your not, you buy them because you think their cute. so if you do that then your fine doll =)

At my school you would get called a poser and its pretty lame though. Yes those shoes are mostly for skaters and only skaters would wear them. But trust me you'll fit in just fine.

Well I am not sure what the school is like but you know everyone is wearing those kind of shoes and i dont think you will be called a poser for it i mean maybe you could like look at someone who like lives near you and see what kinda shoes they are wearing. i mean i know at my school everyone has those shoes and no one is called a poser only a few times by the real skaters... so ya i think it will be fine since they are in style right now!! hope i helped!!
