about

My name's Jennifer, but I'm more commonly known as Jen or Sporkster. I love lots of things/people including God; volleyball and soccer, my two favorite sports; and cheese. I also love Pi, but that's a story for another day.
I've been answering questions on Advicenators for over three years now, so I'm pretty experienced with it. I love answering questions and helping you out anyway I can, so if you've got a question, just ask me!
Ask me about: Christianity, athletics, physical fitness, love-life, relationships, friendships, HTML queries, book suggestions, music suggestions, musical theory, history, English (or Spanish) grammar, Paint Shop Pro 8, skin problems, sports injuries, "punk" fashion, nutrition, etc.

Q: Hi,
I am trying to find out how to achieve one of these hairstyles. There are two similar hairstyles in these 2 websites:

I understand that the right cut would help but otherwise how do you create the wavy, natural effect. I would like to copy it exactly, also which colours you think look best for the cuts.
thankyou for your time

A: You're right--If you want that style of haircut, I suggest you get a few layers with side-swept bangs. Color doesn't really matter, but I think a chestnut-brown, auburn, or black color looks best. That's just my personal preference.
To get that naturally wavy look, take a shower at night. After you take your shower, squeeze all the excess water out of your hair and put some frizz-ease serum or some other anti-frizz product on your roots and on the ends of your hair, or where ever else you have problems. Take your hair in two sections and gently braid it. Hold it in place with two ponytail elastics. Sleep on your hair damp.
The next morning, undo your braids and gently separate the waves with your hands. Spritz your hair with a LITTLE bit of hairspray to keep it in place.
You now have a cute hairstyle that's great for any type of occasion. =)
I hope this advice is what you're looking for!
