My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.



I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

I have choir pictures tomorrow and I don't know how to do my hair. I have dark brown hair that goes like 4 inches under my shoulders and it's kind of layered and naturally pin straight. Should I curl it or just leave it straight or what? pictures would be nice but if not then that's alright! thanks in advance!

Curl your hair with a thicker curling iron. Not like big curls to make it wavy. Like Hilary Duff. Kind of like that. It looks really cute & it's not hard to do it. If not that hair style, straighten your hair and take your bangs and use a bobby pin and just pull them back loose and put the clip.

Well .. i know this is kinda nasty but im old enough believe me because if i wont then i wouldnt ask this .. well nobody ever talked to me about sex but like i know about it .. but i was wonderin does a guy wont it shaved or hairy .. like not alot of hair i dont know help!!!

As you know, all guys have different things they liked. Most guys would want it eather shaved or trimmed. Having all that pubic hair is a turn off.

Next week I turn 21. No big deal really, I was legal at 19 were I live.

A while ago me and my boyfriend agreed for a whole bunch of reasons to not focus on our birthdays too much this year, just do something nice for valintines day. Which was totally cool with me. But now my girlfriends want to take me out for my birthday.

The thing is everybody, even myself, wants this to be a girls night thing. I don't even think my boyfriend would want to come to the place they have in mind, but I'm not sure how to tell him that I want to spend my birthday with just my close group of girls. What should I do?

Well, you guys agreed on not focuusing on birthdays. He's your boyfreind and he will understand if you and your girlfriends go out. I don't think he will be mad. Just tell him that your friends want to take you out somewhere, and if he would be fine with that. I'm sure it's no big deal though. Happy early birthday! :)

Ah I once again am having guy troubles, it always seems to happen again over and over. But this time I seem to like a really cute guy, but he is really popular. I don't know if I should fight or if I should just let him come to me... or if I should just stop liking him...HELP ME PLEASE

Don't give up and don't just stop liking him. So what if he is popular?? He's a person just like you. First, just talk to him a lot. Let him get to know you better and see how you are as a person and just flirt with him. When you see him, flash him a smile and just say hey. Keep doing that, then start conversations with him. It might take a while for both of you to get to know each other well, but it's worth it. Don't give up on him if you really like him. If things don't work out, don't worry about it. Things happen but it's not the end of the world. You will find someone even better one day.

You just have to give the best advice you can. Have a cool column. It draws a lot of attention. Make friends on the site. Be nice, and add people as favorite. Don't leave people messages telling them you added them or anything because it's chit chatting. Get on Frappr and make friends there. Put your advice link everywhere. If you have myspace, xanga, your AIM profile, put it there.

Go to Profile Settings and there will be a space where you can paste any URL you want and then another space where you can put what you want it to say. I got that color from webmonkey.. the site with all the colors and I just put it on the link space.

Okay guys. I need help. I've been suffering from anorexia for about 3 months now. i've went from 140 to 105 in those months. my dad is starting to get suspishious. i need help. i hate anorexia, but i don't want it to go away. i don't know. help?! i rate highh, higher than the sky. haha.

Even though I'm not anorexic, I love learning about it and listening to other girl's stories about it. This year I've read about 3 books on it and they were all true stories. This is something you CAN stop. It is an illness, but if you want to get better, you can and you defenetlly should. You just have to realize that no one is perfect and you need to learn how to love yourself no matter what your size is. I bet you're beautiful, but if you keep doing this to yourself, you're going to take that away from yourself. You're young.. I'm guessing. You are hurting yourself in the worst possible way and you might think that you're helping yourself feel better but you're really not. If you continute it, you will end up in the hospital. Your life could be ruined and please, please don't let that happen. Teenage years are so difficult, trust me I know. There are competitions on who gets the cutest guy, who dresses better, being popular and cool but that's all part of life. It's normal to feel low once in a while. I mean everyone has their bad days, but anorexia? 3 months is a long time, and it's basiclly an addiction. You loose 5 more pounds, you're going to keep pushing yourself to loose another 5, then anoter and you will keep finding things that you need to work on. You are so constrated on looking perfect and skinny that it's your main pryority (sp). Health is very important. You have a whole future ahead of you, and this could ruin it. Yeah, it might sound dumb and crazy .. but once you get at that point you will realize how ridicoulous this is. If you really want to loose weight, there is soo many other and healthier ways. As kids, we think that nothing works and that starving ourselves and throwing it up is the right answer, it's not. I know. I've done it and it hasn't helped me but it just made me feel like crap when I didn't achive a sertain goal I wanted to by throwing everything up. It lowerd my confidence and nothing was important. Anyhow, don't let such a thing happen to you. Have fun!! Go out with friends, try new things.. and just be who you are and learn to love yourself because you will have to. I really suggest that you stop. If you can't on your own, go to a counslor. I'm not saying that in a mean way or anything, but it's really the best thing. No one will judge you, but they will want to help you and that's what you need before you get worse. Please consider it because it really makes me upset when people are like this. There is a beautiful person inside you, and you will also learn that looks aren't everything. Good luck.

Okay see i have pretty brown eyes right, but then at the same time i want to wear make up...but not too much..and i want to wear make up but i don't want to look like a goth...I mean what should i wear??

Just go natrual. Wear natrual colors like brown, gold, greens & purples because it goes best with brown eyes. You can eather wear black or brown mascara, but personally I would go for brown. It looks so much better. I don't think you really need foundation, but if so get a tone darker. Put a little blush on your cheek bones and lip gloss & you'll look great.

Yeah, it is too soon. I mean him and his girlfriend just broke up so wait a week or two. Just flirt with him, talk to him and give him clues that might make him realize that you like him. Later on when you're having a conversation just tell him.

when you have your peorid what do you sleep in? cause when i sleep in pads it gets all over

When I'm sleeping, I usually wear pads but I'm never heavy. If you leak, wear a tampon. You can't feel them while you're sleeping anyways.

And it happens reguarly (even after my period)..What can i do!?

It's normal to break out. Try changing your diet. Don't eat so much chocolate, fats and such because that causes people to break out. Honestly, try getting Proactiv. If you don't want to spend your money on it, try something else. Keep washing your face and using lotions.

okay.. well im so inlove with this boy. ever since the day i met him i had a crush on him. and its been almost 2 years. and i went out with him last summer... but ever since he's either hated me or not even cared. and we were really good friends and like i don't want to try to talk to him because he'll just think im annoying. but i love him so much. i've went out with 2 guys since we broke up but i broke up with both of them cause i didn't like them as much anymore and im just never going to get over this kid. i feel like he left me scarred and i just don't get how he can totally not care about me anymore. we had so much fun going out and e loved each other tons. sometimes it seems lke hes looking at me but i can't talk to him cause he'll just think im so annoying. i mean i'd be happy if he'd just talk to me or even be my friend again. what can i do

Not to be rude or anything, but he seems like he wants nothing to do with you. You don't know for sure that you annoy him by just saying hi. When you see him just flash him a smile and say hi. No offence, but he is acting like a jerk towards you. No one should treat anyone the way he treats you. It's just rude and I don't think he has a reason for it. You really should keep trying to get over him. He isn't worth your agravation. You should keep going out with other guys. You can't know if you will like anyone unless you give them a chance. It will help you take your mind of that guy. I know it hurts your feelings when he doesn't talk to you, but a guy like that doesn't deserve you.

I looked on the internet for pictures, but I can't find exactly what you're looking for. Go to a grocery store and buy a magazine. They have tons on hair and there is a lot of pictures of hair styles, hair colors and everything. It would help you out a lot.

Okay this might sound weird but okay when i first started useing a tampon it hurts real bad.. and when i try to get it out it won't.. i have tp pull hard and it hurts very very bad.. i know that i'm putting it in right.. in the whole where the blood comes out right ?? well i put it in there and it goes in there fine but it doesn't feel right.. and when i pull it out i can't and then i start to cry because it hurts very bad. I suggest that you go to this website and read it. If it hurts you, then you are not putting it in correctly. This site has couple pictures on how to put it it. It's not discusting or anything, so no worries. Read it all and it will help you out.

When you are talking to that guy, tell him right away. If I were you, I would stop being nice about it because people don't take it seriously. Tell him to back off because you have a boyfriend and if he doesn't just want to be freinds then to forget about you. I did that before, and it worked. It gets really annoying and kind of freaky. I'm basically with this amazing guy, whom I really like. [Well, not really 'together', but getting there :)] Problem is, he's just a wee bit older then me. I'm 18 and he's 22. Some of my friends are like 'Wow! He's a bit older then you, huh?!' (Mostly my guy friends say this). Others are really happy that I found someone that I like so much. (Mostly my girl friends).


Problem is how do I tell my parents? I know they're going to be shocked, just because of his age. But he's a really nice guy, amazingly nice, and I want them to see that. Also, the friends that didn't approved of this, how to I get them to be more understanding?


PS; I know my parents are going to be like 'he's older then you and mostly all older guys go for one thing; sex'. But, believe me, this guy is NOT like that. We talk everyday on the phone and computer. He's an all around sweetheart. I just don't know how to get people to see that, especially my parents.

Sometimes the people you love won't always understand what you want them to. You have to understand that part even if it may be hard. Your friends aren't saying that to get on your nerves or anything, but they want to protect you from something bad happening. They should meet this guy. They need to get to know him better then by judging him by his age. He is only 4 years older than you and that's not much. You're 18, so you can date who ever you want. Anyways, telling your parents might be nerve racking. Just sit down with them and talk to them. Tell them you met this really great guy and just tell them things about him. Then tell them his age. If they don't aproove, don't get into an argument. Again, they are your parents and they love you so they just want to protect you. They don't know him so they might over react. After a while, they should meet him as well. They need to get to know him as a person rather then thinking that all he wants is sex. Not EVERY guy is like that and not every guy is an asshole. As they get to know him as a human being, they will see how he is and accept him. You seem to really like this guy, so don't let people's opinions ruin that for you.
