ok recently, my relationship with my mom has gone pretty much down the tubes.... it always seems like ive done something wrong or shes just mad at me idk... i am pretty moody a lot and i get mad and storm off and then when i come back shes like giving me the silent treatment... its annoying me and whenever im in a good mood, she just like looks all sad which makes me mad.. idk its strange but is there anything that i can do??
13/f btw...
thanks (link)

Well... It seems like she may be a little dissapointed in things in general. The first and best thing you could do would be to control your anger and moods. I don't think she knows how to deal with you when you do that. And if it seems like your always doing something wrong, why not talk to her about it? Find out what she thinks you're doing wrong? That seems like your best bet.

okay i am overweight a little and i really want to lose my weight over the summer. the thing is i have to do it by having fun otherwise i lose interest and stop. so i decided to lose weight by jumping on a trampeline every day for a good amount of time. my question is, is this a good way to lose weight? also can you lose a lot? and what are some more fun activities like this? thanks wil rate high. (link)

Trampoline is an excellent way to burn calories, and it's also really fun! If you like dancing, that's also a good idea. There's also a few rythm videogames (EyeToy, DDR...) that can get you to lose some weight.

Well, I am hoping to get some input from the guys, but, anyone is welcome to answer if they know. I have a crush on someone right now & I think he likes me back. We flirt & joke around all the time. My actual question is...Do guys kinda sit at home & think about girls they have an attraction to, like we do? And if anyone knows, what kind of things do they think about if they do like you? Thankx! (link)
|
We DEFINITELY do that. A lot. Honestly, I was wondering if girls did it... Happens a lot, or at least for me anyway. The songs thing I'm not so sure about. I haven't heard about that with guys... Although sometimes I'll be humming something along the lines of The Turtle's "So Happy Together" or U2s "Beautiful Day" when I've got somebody on my mind. I dunno. Good luck with this guy!
|
So, I'm sixteen years old, going into Junior high, and haven't lost my first kiss. Honestly, is this a good thing or a bad thing in guys eyes? I've had chances to lose it, but i feel its really important. Help. :\ (link)
|
My phone number is...
Haha. Jk. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you're dealing with the big-time obnoxious "playas" then it might be an issue, but if you're dealing with a guy you really love then he won't care. Trust me. From what I know, experience isn't really a big deal.

theres this brother of one of the girls on my sisters soccer team and i saw him at the begining of the game and i got a feeling like "wow i want to talk to him and meet him" but because im so shy i didnt talk to him. he kinda saw me at the begining too (i think) but he was with his dad and went down to sit with him, but like after the game too the team was having their like "after game meeting" and he was looking like in my direction im not sure if he was really looking at me if you know what i mean. i dont know what to think what if wasnt looking at me i would feel like an idiot if i just went and talked to him and he had no intrest in talking to me at all. i really want to talk to him but i dont know how to not make it awkward. i know nothing about him other than his sister is on the team. what do i do!!!??
p.s. they have a game tonight and i think i might go to see if maybe hes there and maybe if i can get over being shy i might be able to talk to him? please help me do this!?
(link)
|
Talk to him! The best case scenario: He's interesting, wanted to talk to you, you hit it off, and get something started. The worst case? He was never interested, it's awkward for about forty seconds, you both walk away, and you never have to deal with him again. It will be FINE. I wouldn't waste the oppurtunity.

hey i have a really big problem, my best friend and my sister in christ broke up with her boyfriend and well, honestly i cant stop thinking about her, shes always on my mind, ive known her for 3 years and we are closer than i have ever been with anyone, ever, we spend so much time together and i cant help it but im always thinking about her and well, i think my head is either messing with me or this is gods way of telling me she is the one. I love her so much as a best friend and a sister in christ, but well, i dunno, please advice, i dont know wat to do anymore its driving me completely insane!!! (link)
|
Um, I have no idea what a sister in Christ is. But....
Here's how you can tell if you love her:
1. If she is constantly on your mind.
2. If everything else in your life has suddenly become second to her. She is your #1 priority.
3. If you speak free and easily with her, and feel open.
If you fit those criteria, there's a good chance it's love... And you should make a move. I wish you the best of luck! Love is a rare and beautful thing that should be treasured while it lasts.

Ok well this is kinda a long story && somewhat confusing but please bear with me! ok well, recentley i just found on myspace.com a boy named Jon-Michael who was in my kindergarten class and we were all like "Hey! yah i remember you.." exc anyways well my friend sonia used to like Jon-Michael ALOT because he switched schools and went to hers. anyways, i went out with Jon-Michael for about..5 hours and then he realized he wasn`t ready for a relationship becuase he recently broke up with another girl(ciara) and still had fealings for her. of course i was sad and mad, but i still kinda like him but now, its summer and i go to the YMCA every summer and im going there now, and theres this boy Devin i REALLLY like and my cousin(who also goes there) is a girl and is like one of his good friends said that he likes me and thought i was cute, but i don't think so because he hardley ever talks to me && when he does hes making fun of me somehow. i reallly like him but what to do about Jon-Michael? what to do about Devin? && Myself? What should i do about ALL of this. (I WILL RATE HIGH FOR TRYING) (link)
|
Speaking as a guy... I don't think your cousin would lie to you, and the reason it sounds like he's making fun of you might be because he gets muddled/choked up when he tries to talk to you. I would try and start something with Devin, at least give him a chance. If he's genuinely insulting and assholeish around you, you can always break it off. As for this Jon-Michael fellow, I would give him some space for now. I think he just needs to sort himself out, which could take anywhere between a week and several months. Just give him some time.

Hello,
I was wondering of anyone knew how I can go about getting my GED online? Yes, I have Googled it, but, naturally their are a million things that come up & I want to make sure it is a reputable site and it would be all legitimate. So, I thought maybe if anyone has done this, they could point me in the right direction as to where to go online. Thanks. (link)
|
This question would be a lot easier to answer if you told us what a GED was... That may be a reason for the lack of responses.

How do you get your hair so blonde that it's almost white? You know, like jessica simpson blonde?... I've tried bleaching it, but it just turns orange & then when I put a base on after the orange doesn't go away. Does any one know any good brands or tips on how to do this? (link)
|
I'm sure you can find the perfect hair dye for this kind of thing... If not, Loreal has a website, and it might be possible to order online. That's my best bet....
But in general, I wouldn't reccomend dying your hair. It always looks fake and you can seriously lose the quality/texture of it that way. And Jessica Simpson? Come on. She's an IDIOT. Not exactly the best role model.

Does anybody know any ways to learn your lines? like any unique ways or anything?

I've been doing theatre for about four years....
Get a connection with what it is you're saying. Understand your character, understand the plot, and empathize with the things your character is saying and the actions your character is taking. When you feel truly one with the role you're portraying, rehearse to death. Repeat your lines until you hate them. Try them in different styles, with different intentions and inflections in your voice. It's a good way to remember them...

5 yrs ago I dated a guy for 4 months and he dumped me out of the blue. Last year we started dating again and it's been absolutely perfect for 14 months! he's been a bachelor forever (he's 43) and i'm sure this is the longest he's ever been with someone. we got a puppy and have both fallen in love with him and are training and raising him together. I spend most nights at his place, but still own my own place too. Does anybody think this will work out for the long term? not necessarily marriage, but a committed relationship? and How do I get him to say it??? Thanks in advance. (link)
|
It seems really, really likely that this will work out. You love him, he loves you, and you've got the means to support each other. That's all you ever need. As for him staying in it, I wouldn't be all that worried. It's been 14 months, he would have dumped you a while ago if he was really in danger of not loving you. As long as you both continue to put in to the relationship, I promise it'll work out :)

I'm so messed up I'm agnostic thinking about turning back into a christian or turn into an athiest.. I'm so scared if I turned into an athiest I'll go to hell If there really is a god... If I turn into a christian I'll be believein in something that may not be real? I cried about this.. Should I just turn into an athiest and if there really is a god go to hell for it.. Or should I turn into a christian and believe and god and maybe go to heaven if god is real? (link)
|
There's been a lot of good answers so far...
DO NOT be afraid of Hell. Ever. Do you really think that god would make you spend an eternity roasting in flames for one wrong action? He's supposed to be kind and loving. Plus, even if that stuff is true, you have no guarantee that Christianity is the right religion. Maybe it's Islam or Hinduism. Or Buddhism. Or Satanism. Or Confuscism or Shinto or Judaism or Wicca or Paganism.... There's literally thousands. One god is as likely to exist as any other.
I personally am an atheist, and I don't regret it. Fear is religion's best friend, and you need to make the choice not to let it have power over you.

does limewire give your computer and viruses or other problems?? (link)
|
You just have to be careful.
1. Make sure you have good virus-protection software.
2. Don't download any .exe files.
3. Don't download anything suspicious (i.e. something with a huge filesize, weird filetype, weird spelling errors in name)
Take these precautions and you should be ok.

My bf has an older brother (11 years older). He looks up to him like a father cz he helped bring my bf up. I like his brother a lot. Hes a nice guy.
Ive realised that whenever his bro is with us my bf doesnt treat me too gd (rude etc), for no reason. As soon as his brother has gone hes really nice to me.
He can't even be bothered to see me, or talk to me, if hes going out with his bro later on.
When we talk on the phone he doesnt make an effort. Its like Im talking to myself. When he talks to his bro they're laughing n hes telling his brother everything.
Before I didnt see it. Then I thought I was exagerating n I thought it was me who was acting diff. But now its jus obvious to me.
I have tried talking to him about it but he jus says Im being stupid and he wouldn't do that to me. If I say smething about his bro hes gonna get annoyed with me. He always does.
I dunno how to approach the situation. (link)
|
If this is really getting in the way of your relationship, something should be done. Make sure it's a good time, and then bring it up. Give examples of stuff, ask about his relationship with you, ask about his relationship with his bro, etc. If he seriously doesn't notice anything, then he needs to make an effort to treat you equal when the bro's around. If he DOES notice and is doing it on purpose/doesn't care, then you can't stand for it. Tell him.

me and my boyfriend are expecting a baby in february. we are obviously not married- but im wondering if when it comes, will it obtain my last name or his?- i was thnking itd have to be mine- since hes not really my spouse- but is there any way can request that it has his last name if needed? (link)
|
The grandma's right. Decide with him which last name you want, but you're ultimately the one with the last word. Actually, I think it's possible to make one up if you can't decide...

I'm trying to make my boyfriend the new Godsmack CD. Well, I'm downloading it off of LimeWire, which means doing it one song at a time. How do I make it faster? And they all get to a certain point, stop, and say Waiting On Busy Host, How do I fix that? Is there a way to choose a faster one? Please Help!!
I rate. (link)
|
Ignoring the whole illegalness thing ;-)...
1. Make sure that you're downloading one from the right connection speed.
2. If a particular download is sucking, switch to a different one.
3. Try again in the morning, preferably early. The system tends to be faster than.
4. Check the internet and other music downloading places.

Ok, So I am 13 years old and since May 2005, I have found myself madly in love with no other than a 20 year old McDonalds worker. He has started to open up a little more in the past couple of months, and he gives me lots of hugs, flirts, and shows all the "signs" of love back. Yet he has never told me. This week we are supposed to go to the movies. My question is, Should I open up and tell him I love him or should I just wait until he does? (link)
|
If you really love him, this is probably hard to hear but....
Abandon hope. Now.
The gap between you in age, maturity, intelligence, sense of humor, and interests is so vast that an expression of love between the two of you. Plus, do you think he's going to be a McDonalds worker forever? He's going to want to move up in his career, and he won't be able to take you with him. I'm sorry.

Here is my issue. About 2 years ago, I joined an internet forum as a false name, without my parents knowledge. A year and a half ago, I used that false name to start giving advice, again without my parents knowledge. I eventually turned back to myself around a year ago, and came here 3/4 of a year ago, again without my parents knowledge.
Now, my parents would probably not let me see the light of day again if they found out that I did all that I did without their knowledge. There's the background.
Now, I need to fill out a senior survey for my Guidence Counselor, so that she can write an accurate report on me to send off to my colleges I am applying for. I read down, and eventually saw "List all work experiances which you have gained by donating your services (any and all volunteer experiances)". I really wish to send all of my volunteer hours advising teenagers to colleges, yet if my parents find out, I am going to be murdered. And it is not like I am upset because I cannot say I helped a few girls decide what to wear. I have actually saved almost 100 people from killing themselves. That is the kind of thing that I do not want colleges to not hear.
So, first off, what would you do in this situation?
I decided to go to my Guidence Counselor, to ask her a whole bunch of questions. These include her confidentiality between me and my parents in cases that do not involve depression or anything like that, and what exactly I should do in my situation. What are the laws of New Jersey or other states regarding which information is confidential between you and her?
Thank you all very much. I love you all for this help. (link)
|
I'm in New York, so I assume the laws are similar...
I would not worry about confidentiality between you and your counselor. The policy is that they won't disclose anything without your permission first. Either way, if you really stopped all these people from killing themselves, I seriously doubt that your parents would chew your head off.
On a totally different note, I would be careful about saying that you stopped people from killing themselves. That CAN NOT happen in the course of a few short cheer-up sessions... Trust me, I thought the same thing. Looking back, I think I only really made life-long impacts on two girls, and I spent literally a year with them each. Careful...
Best of luck with college and such.

ok so i feel very embarssed to ask this question.
but. im a lesbian.
and ive never done anything with a guy, but ive done stuff with girls.
but i was wondering...when do i consier myself not a virgin. i mean when it is a girl and guy it is obvious. but with 2 girls...its not so obvious to me...soo does any one know? (link)
|
As has been said, it's basically up to you. Although I wouldn't reccomend getting your sex advice from a movie... During sex, when you feel like you have GIVEN yourself to your partner, like your heart and soul are entrusted to them, then you can consider your virginity gone. It's about commitment and emotions.
(P.S. Don't be afraid to discuss sexuality, especially when you're anonymous on an online advice column!)
|
What is foreplay? (link)
|
You can basically think of it as the stuff before intercourse that leads up to it and is designed to turn both partners on. It can consist of touch, kissing, masturbation, fingering, feeling.... A wide range. Usually, the partners still have their clothing on at this point, but it can vary.
