Ok. so my friend has sorta had a thing with this guy all year. Like she's liked him && they havent hooked up, but she has wanted to. But he told me it wasnt "there" for him. Which means it wouldnt work out between them. Well, recently, ive been haning out with him && talking to him alot. We're really close. && i like him. Well yesterday i really thought he liked me too. So earlier when i was on the phone with my friend i told her i liked him. && she was like..well i like him too. but i dont care. && i feel bad bc shes like had a thing for him all year. && if i got the chance to go out with him i would want to. but i wouldnt want her to get mad. she said she wouldnt be mad it would just be sort of awkward. && id feel bad if i he liked me && i went out with him bc i wouldnt want things to be weird between us or anything. so im asking what i should do?

Even thought she says she would be okay with it, she really isn't. She wants you to be happy but if he doesn't like her, what can you do about that? It's a good thing that you told her that you liked him. If he likes you and if he asks you out, you should go for it. Your friends feelings matter, but you want what's best for you and you should be happy. No guy should ever come between your friendship and don't feel bad if he likes you and not her. It's part of life and things like that people just need to learn to deal with.

I'll never see him again. The math conferences for middle schools are au revoir. He lives 80 miles away. And next year, he'll be in the 9th grade and will be too old to participate. I'll definitely never see him again. How do I get over him?

You need to go out and meet new guys and just flirt with them. Keep busy to keep your mind off him and just hang out with your friends and meet new people. It will help.

I met this guy at a series of math conferences. He's really cute, fun to talk to, and really smart. During the conference breaks, we basically spent the whole time talking and hanging out. I know this sounds ridiculous, but...I have a crush on him now. The only problem is---I'll probably never see him again. He goes to school in a different county. How should I get over him?

It's not ridiculous that you have a crush on him. Why exactly do you want to get over him though.. you don't need to. Are you going to see him at all atleast one more time? If so, you should get his phone number, screen name, or e-mail and then you guys could keep contact.

You want to make sure that your picture is saved in a folder and then go to paint and file and open. Find the folder that the picture is in and open it and the picture will show up.

I'm glad you want my opinion and and aspect on your situation. :] Being shy is no big deal. It's something that you can get over but since you never hung out with him before, you're a little nervous and you're scared that he won't like you anymore. I think a lot of girls had a feeling like that. Does he know your friend? Anyways, when you guys go hang out, and if your friend tags along, she should bring another guy friend with her. When you guys are together, you need him to pay attention to you, not her so win him over. I'm not saying that in a stupid way like make your friend look bad or anything, but you have to keep him on his feet. What I mean by that is have fun no matter what you're doing. Flirt with him and make some moves.. nothing slutty. Just a peck on the cheek and it will show him that you're comftrable around him. Now you don't have to just give him a peck to let him know you're comftrable, but be flirty and be yourself. Make him laugh. If he liked you friend he would go for her, but it seems like he's really into you and you're probablly really pretty and sweet so of course he likes ya.

okay. well on Sunday i had sex with this guy named Mike.. and the condom ripped.. he said hes positive that none of it got in me and that he pulled it out in time, but my period was supposed to be on the 20th and write now its the 21st.. and im really paranoid. Periods are never really on the exact time as they were the previous time. You need to calm down and relax. The best way to know if you're pregnant or not is to get a pregnacy test. If you go to the grocery store with a friend, just get one there.

My parents have a thing with me talking on the phone late too and I kind of understand why. Have you ever thought that maybe your mom might of been expecting an important phone call and she didn't want the line to be busy? You should try talking to her again. Make a deal with her and show her that you can be responsible about it and promise her you won't talk on the phone after 8 or something. I mean, you would see your friends at school the next day anyways?

It's normal to be jelous but he's with you and if you want this relationship to go any further, you have to be able to trust him. Then again, you guys are only 13 and no one really has a really "serious" relationship at that age and guy's hormones really start to kick in. For now, just try to be more understanding and he's with you. All those other girls like him, but he doesn't like them.. he likes you so that's why you guys are going out. Just try to trust him a bit more. Jelousy can ruin a relationship so don't show it too much.

It's not fair that your parents have to keep driving you guys around and that she never pays back. You need to tell her this and even if she gets mad, don't suck up to her and just say it's okay. It's not. Maybe her family doesn't have much money. That's understandable, but it's no reason for her to keep doing that. You should talk to your other friend though. Don't just let her be mad at you and push her away because you have a new friend. You can hang out with both of them.

okke well, my mom died about 2 years ago in april. She died 5 days after my birthday which made it even harder on me. my dad has a girlfriend & i really dont like her. Well, my friend she has been through alot & a couple of nights ago, she told me she was Athiest, she had excellent reasons for her desciions. teza. hii! well today for the first time i tried putting a tampon in..i think its tampax pearl or something like that..and im not sure if i should like wear pads still to school or try to keep using tampons..because it took me awhile to get it in..since it was my first time..but then im scared that i wont be able to put it in again in school..but tampons are sooo much nicer! also the only scary thing is my period is SOOO heavy..its unbelieveable and i cant use the super absorbant ones because my mom only bought the regular ones and then since i just started using then i dont wanna start withh the super ones..i wanna try and get use to them! i think it would be easier on me for gym class..rather than using a pad im just scared that it will leak..since its super heavy and im using a regular tampax..and that if i have to change it during school..i willbe late to class and i wont be able to get it in..what do u think i should do?? because i like tampons alot..its like you dont even have your period! ahh im soo confused..any help?? suggestions?? what would u do?..thanks!!

I always use tampons and when I first started to I didn't really get the whole inserting it in thing. Tampons don't take a lot of time to put in..usually 30 seconds and then you're done. You will get used to putting them in, it shouldn't take you a long time. Most girls would sit, stand or even put one leg on the toilet or the tub to get it in there lol. Whatever position you're comftrable in, go for it. Here is a website with much more info and pictures showing how to do it correctly. It's nothing gross and they're drawn. Since you just started using tampons, stick with regular and as you keep using them, swich to super. You should still use them at school, and since you're heavy, change it every 2-3 hours and you won't leak. Wear a pany liner and just incase you do leak a little bit, it won't show on your undies.

my hair is like sooo boringgg i need ideas on what i should do with it its like shoulder length but it not past my shoulders im thinking of putting highlights to kinda give it a little more life to it but for now i just need some hairstyles because i am always wearing it in a ponytail =] thanks & you give great advice youre the only person i go to for advice on this site

You can do a lot of things with your hair if you just play around with it for a while. My hair used to be boring and when I was brushing it, I just tried different things with it. One thing I did was I twired a small peace of hair on my finger and then I made a weird thing out of it and I put a bobby pin. Highlights wouldn't be bad, but they grow out real fast so you'd have to dye your hair again. You should try a new color and add some highlights. Maybe you could even try getting a new cut & style it different? Whatever you like but anyways. Look in hair style magazines and see some of the things you like and see if you could create that look. Everyone does have hair above the upper lip but some people have more. Don't shave it because it will grow back a lot faster and it will grow prickly. I suggest you buy a waxing kit. Sally Beauty has them and they aren't expensive. I have it and it works really good and hair doesn't grow for 8 weeks.
