i have a dell windows xp but i was considering getting a mac, either their desktop model or their ibook im not sure yet. what are the advantages of a mac vs. windows. i have a lot of computer games in windows version. will i need to buy new ones for the mac version or is it all the same?

Should all be the same.

Macs are easier to use, and better all around. I'm sure there are pro/con lists up somewhere.

Basically what I want to do is to start making different little things, and sell them at craft fairs.. A couple of things i was thinking to make were: painted rocks, clay objects (like buttons, beads, necklaces, frames, bowls, lightswitch covers, puzzles, little things like food, frogs etc.), friendship bracelets, the box bracelet thigns..

my question is are those good ideas, and will they sell? or should i just forget all about it? or are there any other things i could make that sell really well?

also, how do you sign up for a booth at local craft fairs? is there a website?

No one will buy that stuff.

It's a really, really, expensive hobby, and I don't suggest it.

And just go to a craft fair and take a brochure. Generally there is not a single website.

So me and my friend want to do a cover of 'Three Cheers for Five Years' by Mayday Parade. He's a guy so natually he has a lower voice than me {15/f) and I was wondering if there was anywhere that would show the voice parts for the acoustic version. Cause the version we want to do is on the Punk Goes Acoustic 2 album and there are two voice parts that harmonize throughout. Where can I find it?

I doubt that they publish them. If you're willing to pay, just get it arranged. That way it will work perfectly with your voices.

Ok so... my cousin moved to his adds apartment in san fransico from brazil last winter (his mom and sister still live in brazil). On the 15th his mom got a him a ticket to go back brazil because his dad said he didnt want him anymore (yeah i knowits sad) howeverl i NEED to see him before he leaves because otherwise i will porbably never see him again (his mom wont lwt him back to the states) and i live in michigan. I asked my parents if i coudld go this weekend and they said no. I cant take no as an asnwer, how can i get there without my parents? pleasee give me rational answers this is really important to me

Once he's an adult he can come back on his own.

The ONLY way would be a plane ticket. A bus would take a week, and I'm assuming that you're still in school.

ok...so i tried out for my cheerleading squad at my school last year ,and i didn't make it=[ i think the reason i didnt was because i couldn't do any gymnastics. im good at the cheers and jumps_ i just can't do any gymastics, i can't even do a cartwheel!!(i know pathetic right?) so.. ive been looking online for private gymnastics lessons, but i cant find any on my area(i live in PA) and even the ones that ARE in PA, are in philli, which isnt excatly the closets location, so i was wondering if anyone knows a gymnastics/cheer coaching place with private lessons (for beginners) around the montgomery.king of prussia area, the requiriments to make the squad are a back hand spring and a running back hand-spring, but if you know more things (such as roundoffs,cartwheels etc.) it helps your chances by alot!!! the tryouts are held in june,, so that means Ill have plenty of time to learn, but if you can't find a private lesson place, then can your just give me some tips on how to do a back-handspring,roundofff,and cartwheels, but if you are giving advice about how to do the stunts, i prefer it be by a cheerleader or a gymnastics or cheerleading coach

I actually think that you will benefit more from small group lessons because you can watch other people and learn what to do and what not to do.

As for cartwheels, just practice and try to get your feet over your head.

I did gymnastics for 7 years, so aske me if you have any more questions.

ok, next year, I'm planning to try out for our pom (dance) team. To make the cut though, you have to be really flexible, like back bending or splits. I have the rest of the school year and the summer so I guess I'm in no hurry but I figure te sooner i start the better. Any excersises i could do to improve my flexibility and be healthy at the same time? Thanks :]

Stretching in general will greatly improve your flexibility. I'm not going to copy another list of stretches; you already have that. As far as a backbend, do a bridge to get a feel for it. Have someone who can support your weight spot you as you bend over backwards to go into the same position.

As far as the splits, do a straddle and get to the point where your bellybutton is on the floor and your knees are facing up. Gradually widen your straddle a few times until your bellybutton is again on the floor.

Then just try to do the splits and keep practicing. That is how I got to be able to do mine.

There are places you can go and they will recreate a scent for you. I wouldn't suggest buying it offline...it could be counterfeit.

I'm in 12th grade and am applying to colleges. But I feel like I ruined my chances at getting into my top 3 choices: Brown, UCBerkley, NYU.
So in 10th grade I had a GPA of 4.0
In 11th grade I had a 4.4.
And so far I have a 4.4 in 12th grade.
HOWEVER, in 9th grade I only got a 3.5 GPA.
Did I ruin my chances of getting into those schools?

I recieved a 2150 on my SAT, a 30 on my ACT, I scored perfect on my US History subject test and perfect on my French/with listening SAT subject test.

Please tell me, did I ruin my chances with my 9th grade GPA????

A 3.5 isn't bad...it's just okay. I have like a 3.8 overall.

!0th and 11th grade years are what they look at the most anyway, so you will be FINE.

Don't fret. Seriously, you're doing REALLY well and must be working really hard.

I'm applying to colleges and I would like to know if I even have a shot. I will be applying to Brown University, NYU, UCBerkley, UCLA, Columbia, Yale, and USC. I have a GPA of 4.5 and SAT score of 2100.

Can you guys give me examples of people who you actually know that got into one of the schools above, or one which is similar (difficulty to get into wise), with the persons GPA and SAT score.

I have friends at UC Berkeley, and my cousin went to UCLA. My cousin was valedictorian at a really prestigious school, and I don't know what his GPA was. The people that I know that went to Berkeley had like As in 5 or 6 AP classes.

USC's average freshman high school GPA is like 3.8. I know some people who had 4.3s and 4.4s and went there. I don't know if you've been to USCs campus, but it feels very empty on the weekends...almost like a commuter school.

You do have a very good chance of getting into UCLA and USC. Also, Berkeley is probably a safe bet.

Are there any ways? I don't mean like reusing the paper, but like disposing of it. I was thinking that maybe if I dug a hole and put paper in there... that maybe it would disintegrate eventually and stuff. Does that work or is that dumb? Does recycling it even matter? Do you have any ideas?

Recycling is when things are used again, so burying things in your backyard won't do much good. Like plastic is melted down, as is glass, to be reformed. Paper is used similarly.

You just offer less. Like you say, "How much is this?" If they say ten, offer like 7 or 8, depending on how much you want to bargain.
