can someone teach me how to use the computer without the help of a mouse?
It's pretty hard with modern graphical user interfaces. I'm a big fan of the mouse (I even use mouse gestures to control firefox), I'd probably go insane if I had to do without one for long.
Look at the menu bar(file, edit, view...) of the browser you're using to read this (in IE, right click the blank area below the address bar and click "menu bar" to activate the menu bar). Hold down ALT. You'll see certain letters are underlined. To access the menu, hold down ALT and type the letter that's underlined. The menu will expand, and you can use the arrow keys to select the option. Nearly every windows program has these.
In your browser (including windows file explorer), use TAB to select the next link or form element, or SHIFT+TAB to select the previous one. Enter to navigate or submit.
In IE, use F4 to select the address bar, in firefox F6. It's also selected as part of the TAB rotation.
In windows file explorer, use the arrow keys to select an adjacent file. In your browser, use the arrow keys to scroll.
To navigate between two windows, hold down ALT and then press TAB.
You can right click something selected by using SHIFT+F10.
That covers most basic functions, look up
for more.

Can ending processes (such as AIM, internet explorer, etc) instead of clicking 'end task' in the Applications tab in windows task manager be damaging to the computer? or is it all right to do?
If you have an administrator account and end certain system processes (I believe this is only possible in normal administrator accounts in XP pro), your computer will shut itself down ("The system is shutting down. Please save... This shutdown was initiated by COMPUTERNAME\SYSTEM...Message: [service] exited unexpectedly"). You can bypass the shutdown by going to start, run, and typing shutdown /a.
If you want to stop things from starting up, go to start, run and type msconfig. The startup tab is safe to mess with, and the services tab with "hide microsoft services" checked is usually safe. Leave the other tabs alone.

ok so this morning my computer said "low disk memory space. click here for options" and so i clicked on it and it lead me to like some disk cleanup thing so then i clicked on clean up but now my paint on computer is gone! and so is my internet explorer, all thats left is my aol explorer. i have no idea what it did! i thought it was just gonna clean up a few stuff i didn't know it was going to delete my stuff! i'm freaking out right now can anyone tell me how to get them back? i'm sure there could have been some other programs that got deleted too. & no i dont think its a virus cause it was windows that requested a disk cleanup. please help!
**Go to start, run. Type appwiz.cpl. Click "add/remove windows components" on the left. Make sure all boxes in this window are checked, then click next. That will make the below file path work. Making a shortcut with that as a location will work if done correctly, remember that you must include the quotes. Contact me via IM for further help, my info is on my column.**
Go to start, run. To get to paint, type this:
%SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe
To get to internet explorer, type this(you must include quotes):
"%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
To make icons for those, right click the desktop, "create shortcut". In the wizard, the "location" is what you just typed into start>run.
What you probably did was use "add/remove windows components" to remove everything. Nothing important was deleted, though you made it very difficult to find the programs(they are hidden and all shortcuts are removed); even experienced users wouldn't be able to find them. In the future remember not to mess with things when you don't know what they do.
To clear disk space, use jdiskreport to find large files and delete ones you don't need:
http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/
Don't delete things if you don't know what they are, jdiskreport *will* show files that can permanently ruin your windows installation if deleted. Then delete junk files with ccleaner: http://ccleaner.com . You can also use Duplicate File Finder to delete duplicate files, but that can be dangerous:

Ok, so a while ago I put WoW (World of Warcraft) on my laptop, and for a while now while I'm moving, my screen will go black. I think it is because of not having that much computer memory. I have used 100 GB out of 147 GB. Is that a lot used? And I've been trying to delete some stuff so that I can have more memory...but even though I delete some stuff, it is still not working that well...what all should I delete to make the screen stop turning black? Or what else should I do?
Thanks a bunch!
Alin75 is correct, the amount of space on your hard disk has nothing to do with it and deleting things doesn't help at all.
Here's my guide on computer conversions and system requirements:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=95&userboard_id=38985
To figure out what your CPU clock speed is and how much RAM you have, go to start, then run. Type this and press enter:
sysdm.cpl
To play World Of Warcraft, you need at least 800MHz CPU and 512MB RAM. You also need a graphics card, which most laptops don't have. To check if you have a graphics card, go to start, then run. Type this and press enter:
devmgmt.msc
Expand "display adapters". If it says anything like NVIDEA or ATI, you have a graphics card. Look up the number for information on how good it is (you need 32MB of video RAM to play World Of Warcraft. If it says SiS or the name of your motherboard(look a little lower in device manager for that), you don't have a graphics card.
If you don't meet the requirements for WoW, you'll need to buy a new computer or components for your computer. Ask me another question for help.

how come sometimes Paint wont open on my computer? maybe the file size is too big and ive already opened a few before and the run memory is not enough? im confused!
Yes, if you don't have much RAM applications can have trouble loading. Increasing your page file size will help. To do that go to run, type:
sysdm.cpl
and press enter. Go to the "advanced" tab. Click "settings" under "performance". Go to the "advanced" tab. Click "change". If you have a different(not the one windows is on) *hard disk*(not a partition or floppy/cd disk) with more than 6GB of free space left, choose that at the top; if not, leave it. Click "custom" and put 4095 in BOTH boxes. Click "set" and then ok on all the windows.
Buying more RAM will help even more.
If you start paint, wait for a few minutes, and it doesn't open, you should end the process. If you don't, paint might still try to open itself for hours, seriously slowing down your computer. If you have XP pro(not home) you can end it by going to start, run and typing:
taskkill /im mspaint.exe /f
If you don't have XP pro, press Ctrl+Alt+Del, go to the "processes" tab, and end "mspaint.exe".

I have a thingy on my DVD burning program that says erase disk, does that mean that if I burn something i dont' like, it can erase the whole thing and i can burn something on it again?
You can on CD-RW type disks. Those type don't always play in CD players, though. You can't on CD-R type.

Um, I dont' know what's my Window number so which one do I click to download?
-Zip archive (Windows 2000/XP, 3.17 MiB)
-Zip archive (Windows 9x/ME, 2.95 MiB)
-Zip archive (x64 3.00 MiB)
To find out which version of windows you have, go to start, then run. Type this:
cmd
press enter and type this at the command prompt:
echo %os%
Press enter. It will return your operating system. Windows_NT is the same thing as Windows XP.
You can then download the appropriate version at
http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/?page_id=5
"Zip archive" contains a single EXE that runs the entire infrarecorder application, without needing to install. "Installer" installs infrarecorder, plus "infrarecorder express", a more friendly user interface.
If you learned of infrarecorder from my answer to your question, please rate it if you haven't done so.

of course its wireless internet but how do you get it, can u use it anywhere? like how much does it cost on average, and how does it work? can u guys just explain the basics of this? oh yea is it fast ?
You must have a wireless receiver on your device, then be within the range of a wifi access point.
Wifi coverage is very dense in large cities. The smaller the city, the less dense wifi coverage is. Coverage is much worse than cell phone coverage. Each wifi signal comes from an access point that broadcasts about 300 ft. Price changes depending on the source, some are free(in restaurants mostly).
When you use wifi, everyone who uses the same wifi signal can see everything you do online, including passwords and credit card numbers you enter into forms. If the site uses server-side encryption (the "lock" symbol appears) or the access point uses encryption (public access points don't), it's much harder to do that.
Also, most people are too stupid to encrypt their wireless routers when they set them up, so you can access those. Those are especially dangerous, though; some people purposefully set up unencrypted access points to steal people's information.

No. What she does on her time is her business, Disney has no reason to fire her.

Does anyone know a site where I can read scary chain letter stories? I don't believe in them I just think the really scary ones are cool and also I'm planning to make my own but just for fun. Probably I'm just interested in like making deatailed stories but horror kind since I find it easier to write. Thanks in advance!
A lot of snopes articles document chain letters:
http://tinyurl.com/2ngoq3
Chain letters asking for anything are illegal. Online chain emails of any kind are usually against your ISP's terms of service. From RFC 1855(official internet document):
"Never send chain letters via electronic mail. Chain letters are forbidden on the Internet. Your network privileges will be revoked. Notify your local system administrator if your ever receive one."
This is because chain letters put unnecessary strain on the email system.

Ok while downloading Windows Live, I scrolled down on some parts and some parts said things about paying, does that mean i have to pay when i use it or something or that by merely using it, I have to pay with the internet and electricity or soemthing?
No, you don't have to pay for it. Section 7.2 is for future services Microsoft might want to offer. Section 7.10 basically means "Microsoft won't give you free internet, buy your own".

kk so mostly every video uploading site thing won't allow more than 10 mintues or video. Not youtube, not zippervideos, not myspace, not tinypic. & i desperately need to upload this vid (289mb - approx. 14 minutes) because it's a birthday shoutout for my best friend & her b-day is today. any help? how can i upload a video that long? and where? thanks!
-Download and install mediacoder(candidate version, not dev):
http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/
-Open mediacoder and "add"(upper left) your video file. Right click the file in mediacoder and "select output file". Name the file something different than the original.
-In the middle, go to the "video" tab. In "mode" select "quality-based", in "format" select "windows media", in "container" select "windows media". In the slider under "mode", move the slider to the left. The more left it is, the smaller the video will be and the worse the quality will be. 35 will probably lower your video to the target 200MB.
-If the video is not 200MB or lower, repeat the above, but move the slider more left.
-Make an account at divshare: http://divshare.com
-Sign into your account
-Upload the video
-Wait for divshare to email you a link
-Give the link to your friend
-Done
If you just want to upload it(which will probably take more time than converting it to be smaller), you can upload it to Google video. You have to use their desktop uploader:
http://video.google.com/
You can make it private so everyone doesn't see it.

My videos won't upload on Windows Movie Maker because they are .mov files. I tried converting them to .wmv files and it worked fine but I found out that it only converted HALF of the video so my 1 minute movie stopped after 30 seconds. i tried several other converters and the same thing kept happening. What converter do YOU guys use? I need it to convert the ENTIRE video not half. Thanks :)
I use mediacoder:
http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/
If it won't convert into WMV, you can try converting it into DV-video or MPEG1. Movie Maker accepts those formats also. You can do that from mediacoder, look at the "video" tab, choose "default" for container.

what's that thing called that you spray your clothes with in case it catches on fire? i know you cannot use a fire extinguisher because it makes it worse. i learned in in school today but i never wrote down the name. it's some kind of extinguisher but only for clothes. & this has nothing to do with stop, drop & roll. thanks!
No, a fire extinguisher will work fine. The most common type of fire extinguisher(ammonium phosphate) will put out fires from any source except oxidizers, which I guarantee you don't have in your clothes.
Fire extinguishers will almost always ruin your clothes. Some fire extinguishers will burn your skin after prolonged contact, and could cause thin clothes to disintegrate.

how do you get this old picture feel: http://image1.stylemob.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=46593&g2_serialNumber=2
In photo touch-up programs like picasa( http://picasa.google.com/ ), you apply the "sepia" effect.
