In photo touch-up programs like picasa( [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ), you apply the "sepia" effect.

either use a poloroid camera, or a mannual. photoshop works too. there are many ways to do the old picture look.
i prefer poloroid cameras because they're cheap, fun, and im just too lazy to edit on photoshop.
poloroid gets the look right there. just make sure you're buying an oldd poloroid from a camera store or something.
