how do you style side-swept bangs? like would you straighten them, or what. i don't have them, but i want them. and would it look bad if you didn't style them?
You dry them straight down, straighten them *unless they are straight* then swoop them to the side. It'd help to put a little hairspray and comb it through. And I'm not sure what you mean by not styling them. If your hair is naturally straight then it probably won't be hard, but if it's wavy then yes you'd have to straighten them. Good luck!

hey I have a question when ppl where eyeliner do u line the inside of your eyelashes or the outside...im confused on how to wear it...
I put it on the inside and i'm totally jealous of people who put it on the outside bc it's really hard to get it next to your lashes. The outside, in my opinion, gives you a more dramatic look. On the inside it might make your eyes look smaller so be sure not to put any in the inner corners of your eye. good luck!

I am going to be a freshman this year, and I have just started talking to this guy. Well, He is going to be a junoir and i know him from my sister--who is going to be a senior.
I have started having feelings for this guy. We talk alot online, and he is really sweet. But there are two problems. 1)He has a girlfriend 2)He still see's me as a kid.
Now both of those are really..hard. Because I think he see's me more of a little sister, then a friend. And it is so tough to deal with. Because I know i am not brave enough to tell him how I feel. And I know he doesnt feel the same. What should I do?
um.. nothing? It's a little wierd because maybe in his mind you're still in middle school. But, by next year *as a sophomore* he might see you as more then just a fish. I wouldn't tell him how you feel just yet, wait a year and then things might change! good luck!

Okay, well you see, I was really good friends with this one guy. We go to different schools and only see each other occasionally. For a while we were boyfriend/girlfriend, but not offically. We would hold hands and then, one night he just held me, in that way. Then, I didn't see him for a while, and I have recently just seen him. I asked him if he still liked me, (because I knew he did( as in he did in the past)) and he said no. I don't know if I should do anything else, because I still like him, or if I just should let it be, because he initiated our "realtionship" and then he just ended it like that.
What a jerk! No matter what he says don't take him back! But maybe call him to get some 'closer'. Call him and be like "What happened with us, or to you?" Good luck!!!

Okay, I know I'm an advice columnist, but I really need help. My best friend Rachael, dated my other best friend Evan. And that was fine. Evan broke up with her numerous times. Then they always got back together. Rachael got sick of it and broke it off for good. Then while Rachael was at camp me and Evan started going out. I only did it because I knew Rachael didn't like him still. Rachael is the um.. JEALOUS type. VERY jealous type. But still, she didn't care we were going out. She was TOTALLY okay with it. Then last night she told Evan she still liked him, and was thinking about him. With Rachael, it's REALLY obvious when she lies, so when she said she didn't like Evan, I KNEW she was telling the truth. I think she's lying about still liking Evan. But I don't know. I think she did it cuz Evan liked her still.. until he started going out with me, and Rachael thinks he still likes her. And Evan is moving 45 minutes away from here. My question is.. should I stay with him? Or not? I REALLY like him.. And his brother would drive him here every week to see us. But his mom might not let him. What should I doooo? Sorry this is so long.
I'd try to find a new guy! That sort of thing happened to one of my friends. He went out with my friend THen broke it off with the other girl. Then a week later went back with the other girl. These two girls were the BeST of Friends! And it was so sad to see a guy get between them. Dump the guy and ask your friend to do the same. You don't want to loose a friendship over a guy.

okay just a couple of weeks ago i had to go to the hospital fer a few weeks and they found out i have FSGS a form of kidney disease..and now i have to take steroids (not the kind fer sports and making you strong) but they have all these really bad effects on me and body swelling is one of them my face and stomach are really swollen and it makes me feel really uncomfortable taking pictures or going swimming...
should i feel this way??

I'm eighteen years old and a high school graduate. I frequently help babysit my younger cousins (ages 2-12) for free or at a low price, and I am fairly used to the quirks, likes and dislikes, of behavior of my relatives.
A family friend has asked me to babysit their 7 (I think 7) year old son for about eight hours this Thursday (I write this on Sunday). I like the kid and he seems to hero-worship me, so I'm fairly certain I'm going to accept. However, he has a reputation for wild behavior, so I am going in guarded.
My problem is, while I've played with him and helped to babysit him before, I've never been the primary babysitter. While my mother will be home that day, I really want to be as self-sufficient as possible.
So, I was looking for some pointers for babysitting non-family. I'm thinking that I'll start him out on cartoons, since he'll be arriving at my house about seven, and break up the rest of the day with semi-healthy snacks every 2-3 hours, and blocks of toys, drawing, and video games. Movies if I get REALLY desperate.
If you could give me tips, crisis management techniques, and ideas for free or low-cost crafts and games, I would greatly appreciate it. Movie rental suggestions are also welcome, although my budget is very small, and my selection is limited to a single small store.
You probably should ask the parents/suggest to them that he bring some of the things that he likes. Boys are hard. Like he should bring a bike/scooter (if you don't have one he can borrow). I babysit twice a week for 6 hours, and he likes to have friends over. Maybe if there's a boy close to his age that you know well that could come over or hang out outside with you two. He also likes video games *oh and he's like 10-ish i think* Maybe borrow some car/video game books/magazines from a library, card games, board games, basketball, tennis*, soccer, jump rope. I think that's all i can think of! Good luck!

Does shaving your legs make your skin rough and make the hair grow darker? I've been using many other products like exfoliators that don't work, and my parents refuse to buy me a hair removal cream because of the excess of chemicals. I want to shave my legs, but I don't want the hair to be coarse and dark. Is this a myth? Should I shave? My hair is already really dark, because I have black hair...
It's a myth, it only seems like it grows thicker and darker because it comes all at the same time. Use shaving gel, lotion, and i think there's even aftershave for legs now too! I also recommend using a venus shaver! good luck!

i was soo excited that i would be graduating i worked so hard for it. but i was rele nervous i felt as though i would puke i cried because i felt so sad that half of the faces i saw in school today i would never see again. i cried during school and for graduation i knew that i would be the frist out of the entire 8th grade to go. i didnt want to go and i didnt . i let down my family because my fears over took me and now im full of regret and i keep crying. its like i stop crying but i still can feel something empty in me and i just start up again. i missed my own graduation and i feel so stupid and so fucking powerless. i cant beleive i let my stage freight take away something i would have loved to be a part of.
has anyone ever been through this. or whats should i do? i need a little bit of support

okay me and my boyfriend went out for 10 months and we had a good relationship but last weeekend was my birthday and my party .. it was a campout and well pretty much the whole time he was with one of my best friends, theyre friends too but shes a girl and they were cuddling, and all this stuff, well i guess she kissed him on the cheek and i got mad cuz like it was my bday and he was with her so we fought about it and he said i was jealous .. well then since we were fighting he would barely talk, so i left a message on his AIM away and said that if he wouldnt help and talk with me to work it all out then i was gunna give up cuz i was sick of trying to fix it by myself, well he took it as a breakup .. but i didnt..and i want him back but hes comfused he says and he says that its hard and everything and hes not sure if he wants me back or to be friends but he really cares about me still and loves me alot he said but he said alot more but i cant really type everything it would take a long time but i guess im really wondering is what do you think i should do..?
