okay so my friends are all getting into the freak dancing thing but im not so into that. how do i dance w/ my friends and still look hot w/o getting to into that kind of stuff? no grinding or any of that. im a good dancer if that helps! 13/F
you dont have to freak dance to look hott..when you dance with a guy just dance reguraly with him...and you if a guy wants you to freak dance on him you know hes not into you hes into the feeling it gives him so he isnt worth your time...guys will still think your sexy as hell even you just dance without doing the freaky stuff

okay, so i asked this guy to turnabout (he doesn't go to my school and he's a sophmore) (im a freshman). i only aksed him becuase one of my friends wanted me to. this girl went to homecoming with the sophmore. (and the sophmore still likes this girl) since then, she has gotten a boyfriend,...our age, and our school. the only reason this girl wanted me to ask the sophmore is becuase she wants then both there for turnabout, so she can feel loved, and the most special. (it might sound like im makin this up...but im not...if u knew her, you'd understand.)
the only issue is....i don't even like this sophmore guy...not even as a friend really...he's kind of awkard and "geeky". my friend basically tricked me into asking him. she and her boyfriend came over to my house, and so did the sophmore. she made up a plan to have me ask him...but i was clueless until it happened. (we were playing ping pong and on the paddle, it said "homecoming?". he said yes, and now i'm stuck with him.)
i REALLY wanted to ask the guy i have a crush on (i think he might like me too--i hope!!), but now that i was tricked into the date...i can't, and that would've been the perfect oppertunaty to start a relationship. AHH!! what should i do?? break the date and risk hurting the sophmore's feelings and my friends??? or just stick to the original "tricky" date, and keep my crush, a secret??

I think that your friend put you in a very awkward position..I know a person like your friend shes actually my girlfriends bestfriend and I don't like her at all but anyways...its unfair that she is sticking with her ex-boyfriend just so she feels loved..There's three ways you could go about it...tell the sophmore from the other school that u decided not to go...he wouldnt know if you went or not he doesnt go to your school or just tell him you dont want to go with him,that all you guys are, are friends and you believe when you go to a dance you go with someone whose more then friends...or you tell him the truth that you were tricked into it...
Ill tell you my story kinda.
Theres this boy ,i'll call him Dave.
Well me and Dave used to be really good friends for about 3 years, maybe a little less.
That led to us doing "stuff" [if you know what i mean]
After that , we were still friends and all until everyone found out and he hated me so much
for a long period of time.
I still liked him , through all of it.
Just recently, maybe 4 days ago he talked to me,
told me he doesnt hate me and said he liked me as a friend and he was being nice about it.
It made me more happy than ever,we talked for a long time too.
He told me he was going to break up with his girlfriend and he did.
He said he likes another girl [michelle], i know her a little bit.
I thought nothing of it becuase they never talk.
Until , i did something really really stupid.
My friend made a fake screename to IM him,a long time ago before we became friends again.
She picked someone random and she picked a girl name Carleen, who just happens to be best friends with michelle.
When "Carleen" was talking to Dave on the fake screename, he seemed to like her and stuff and he talked to "Carleen" for like hours and hours for 3 nights.
After those 3 nights, we stopped.
Apparently, Dave must have told his best friend [jimmy]about Carleen so jimmy decided to talk to carleen.
Now , im pretty sure Jimmy and Carleen like eachother and now Dave and Michelle dont really talk but Jimmy and Carleen are going to try and get them to be better friends and Carleen thinks Michelle is gonna like Dave,who im in love with!
What makes me the most mad, is that we just became friends again and becuase of this, he isnt gonna talk to me as much as he would without Carleen and Michelle, and I think its all me and my friends fault .
Oh and my best friend who made the fake screename, likes Jimmy.
So, what should we honestly do?

well you have to realise dave should still be freinds with you whether or not he has a girlfriend if was truly a good friend...you cant make someone like you...the only thing u could do is pretend your neutral about it and advie dave and jimmy not to date carleen and michelle i think you would have more success with dave then jimmy...just ask them to hang out and make sure u dont talk about them...however i dont think any of this is your fault yes you guys did pretend to be carleen however when jimmy or dave went to ask carleen about it carleen would have no clue what they were talkin about it so what ever happened happened on its own

Hi I'm 15 years old female and a sophomore in high school. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 1 year and 3 months and I love him sooo much and he is like perfect. I'm pretty good at volleyball (well better than alot of people.. not to brag.. but I've always liked the sport, and I even played it in the summer, at like some good rec place.). however in soccer, i have been playing for like 3 seasons, and im not the best player.. like I dont know all those tricks and junk, but I'm determined.. yet lack alot of skills, lol. I'm a 7th grade girl, and I'm going to high school soon.. and Im wondering which do I pick? because the soccer and volleyball seasons are both in the fall... that sucks because I love both, but soccer better.. but im not that good at it! what to pick! .. I wish I started soccer earlier :/
well if you looking at which could get you better scholarships for college definately volleyball...and it comes easy for you you should be able to excel at it...soccer is not really that big at the college level or at least it not publicized like vollyball...volleyball they have like national tournaments...however you should really play what you love to play...but realise when you start playing at highschool leve its a whole new ball game..the practices get tougher the games get more serious but do what ypu love more

I can't seem to stop comparing myself to my boyfriend's ex-girlfriends and old "crushes." I know he loves me, but I just can't seem to stop thinking, "She's thinner than me," or "Wow, she's so much prettier than I am," and "She's so funny, do I make him laugh as much as she does?" The irritating thing is a lot of them are still his friends, and he sees them when he's away at college. He's completely against cheating, but I still worry that something will spark between him and one of his exes and he'll leave me.

I really like my guy friend (lets call him Sam). He and I are always together in school and everyone guessed that I like him but i never admit it. Sam and I flirt alot, we talk, we make eye contact, we trust eachother, hes there for me, he defends me, he'll try to talk to me if he sees me cry, he smiles at me when we see eachother in the hall, and hes so sweet. Now, one of my guy friends got really depressed and I tried to help him through it. It didn't work so well and Sam could tell I was getting upset over something. He once overheard me telling my best friend how I couldn't take knowing about this and how in the end I told his parents. Sam overheard when I said I had cried the night before and as soon as class ended he came to the door and asked me what was wrong. I couldn't tell him the secret but I told him a bit. Now he is bugging me to tell him more and the othe guy is really mad I told even a little bit. What should I do?
Sam has to respect that you told the other guy that you would keep it a secret...and also how did the other guy know that you told Sam? sometimes its okay to have support from someone when you need to keep a secret...but the person cant get involved...and must be trustworthy...the guys whose secret ur keeping has to understand that its a burden for you and u somehow have to understand burn off steam and that might be confessing in another friend
i used to get physically abused by dad from when i was 2 up untill 2 years (when i was 13) and ever since march last year (when dad got sent to jail) iv been having theses really bad dreams about him getting out and hurting me and things like that and i cant go outside without having a panick attack anymore and i really need to sort my head out but im findin it extremely hard! any tips would be appreciated xx

You've been through alot and I don't think anyone on Advicanator.com here nessarily has the expertise to help you...maybe you should see a proffessioanl therapist...its probably because you do have a fear that your dad will come back and do it to you again...but you sometimes the best thing you can do is tough it out and make sure you have some good friends to help you through it...but i definately would recommend talking to a proffessional or even a guardian who is caring for you now

OK i have a friend. She is really nice and we met when we were really little. We used to be like the best of best friends. I moved to a schoo, in a diff city for 3 years and she stayed here. Now we moved back and we are still friends. We go to the same school, we in the same grade and we get along. So on somedays we couldn't be closer and everything is great, but the next day she is ignoring me like I hurt her feelings or something. She sits beside me in this one class and she'll turn away and talk to naother one of our friends and won't say a WORD to me. Then I'll ask her what's wrong and she will be like nothing. And continue with what she was doing. Today was one of those days.

you have realise you arnt doing anything...she just may have some personal issues still from when u moved way back when for 3 years cus that can tough on a friend relationship....also the days that you are close are there other people around?? cus she may be just talkin to you cus ur the only one there......im not trying to be mean or nething but some people are like that...you might even try doing that to one day and ignore her and see what she says

Well, I LOVE middle school, but...its not the greatest. I'm not ugly, I've been out with a couple diff. guys the last few years, and I'm friends with regular/kinda popular/popular people. Although I'm not popular, and I'm not a geek. I have a feeling this year more guys are noticing me 'cause I've gone through some "look changes" as my friends call it, but I've heard that everyone has more fun/life gets better in High School.
I heard most guys get more mature, get done with puberty, etc, and girls get prettier, get nicer, get more mature, etc. Is it true? Does your life really get better in High School?

hey im senior in highschool....and no its not alwyas true that guys and girls get more mature in some cases you become more inmature.....in highschool you guadually start getting more freedom and all depending on how the person handles it, it shapes them such as behaviors and other stuff.....but girls yeah do prettier and like the average girl starts to be noticed more cause there is more diverse amount of people....hopefully i helped
