My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

I always worry when I'm home alone. Like I always think the worst. I don't know if there's something wrong with me or what but I am always thinking of what would happen if robbers broke in. I just know I would pass out. Because I know if I hear something in the house I will get real nervous and start to feel like I am gonna faint. Could their be something wrong with me? Or is it just all in my mind?

not worry i have the same feeling. it really just means your not a secure person.. not that there is anything wrong with that but some people are more secure than others. i find it easier if i just avoid rooms with alot of windows and i keep all the lights on. if robbers know you are home then chances are they wont come to your house so make sure they can tell you are home. double check all your doors in windows if it makes you feel better and maybe try to talk to a friend on the phone or online while no one is home. maybe someone could stay with you for a while until you got over your fear or if you trust your neigbors enough tell them that you are afraid and ask them to help you watch over your house and keep a look out

My parents never let me, nor take me to get my hair cut. I want bangs so bad, so im thinking about cutting them myself. I have the proper scissors for it, I just need like on strand. But i dont know how to do it and i dont want to screw my hair up. Any tips on how to do it nicely?

well i recomend firsly cut them longer than you want because chances are they wont be even the first time and youll have to go back and retrim them
2 to make them completely even like layer them a little i think it looks nicer
and 3 try to get pics of what you are doing incase you have any last min questions

I love living where I do but my mother wants to move away. Not far, but where I am I can walk right into town and I like that. The area is really nice too. I'm not leaving behind my friends or anything as I will stay at the same school and I have a couple of friends living in the town my mum wants us to move to. It's also walking distance from the train station.
Basically, it's not too bad but I can't feel good about it because I really do love this area. Does anyone have any tips for making the move happier/making me see all the good points of it?

i just try to think of the good things and block all the bad things out of my head. just really get excited like think abuot everything your doing and get involved in it as much as possible.. like help with packing to take your mind off of things. and think about all the new friends and neighbors you will have. just think of it as a fresh start to you.. like a new years resolution and make the move the start to improving things in your life that you want to improve

I'm due my period during exam time which really sucks!!!!!!!! Sorry if this is gross but I have reeeeeally heavy periods so it's gonna be really hard for me (it's very bad when I stand up after sitting down for a long time - like in an exam). Obviously I will take plently of extra pads and use the highest one but has anyone got any other tips to get me through the exams while I am on my period? I mean normally they are so bad I have to take a day or two off school.
P.S. I want to go on the pill to lighten them but my doc said wait a bit and see if they work themselves out. What can I do in the meantime?????

well what i do is i want to the very last min before i go then i use a tampon and a pad (i have a heavy period and i can usually got most of the day with that) also try not to eat breakfast.. i tend not to get my period until i start eating that day so maybe it will work for you.. or i would recomend snacking so not all the food is going in and out at once.. that might make it lighter for you. also try not to always be in like period mode.. like i get really overly concerned about it but if i just let it go i will be fine and i wont leack or anything and my fear is like making it worse

hey umm my cuzin wants to know shes 11 turning 12 next onth how much is the maximum of normal wieght

it all depends on her height. if you look at like children tylonol or whatever it accually says on there what a healthly max weight it. i would say no more than like 130 unless shes like super tall or whatever.. normal for that age i would say it between 70-110 so if she falls inthere she should be fine. at that age she should look more into body fat than weight because akit if people tend to become more muslcular at that age and muscle weighs more than fat

i think you have to start over but with a rating like that you should stay! i mean if you make a nwe account i think you have to wait atleast 30 days before you can become a mod and stuff and that name isnt that bad!

ive heard that aero had them really really cheap. i would also try pac sun and basically anywhre that sells girls clothes because most places have hads like that on clearance. when i was in hollister the other day i thought i saw some... but if there sale is over(not sure if it is or not) then the hats might be gone

i just asked about the backgrounds thing. How do I put a background onto my page though? and what code do i copy from the ones on the site?

well if you are on the site and looking at the whole long code only like 10 lines down or so it should say background image.. copy and paste that url onto some spot on your page where you can do that (its somewhere in collumn settings i think) or you can just search yahoo for an image and use that url

well i know penn state has a dance team and they are world famous for their kickline.. they are a jazz dance team i think but cheer with the cheerleaders too i think. if they do jazz then they prob do hiphop as well and might do tap i dont know

i think i might have a phobia of some sort...
before i have to give a speech or even read out loud i freak out. i have something like a panic attack. i cant breathe right, my mouth is dry, my voice shakes, i start trembling etc...
are there any medications i can take for this?

its stage fright and your shy even though you prob didnt think it before. if you keep doing it eventually you will get over it. as far as i know you cant take anything but drinking water helps and practicing alot

For Christmas my bf got me this necklace. I can't say I am dissapointed, don't get me wrong, I am so happy he got me something! And it is beautiful. The only thing is that it is a little formal. It has dimaonds all over the chain and stuff (I don't think they are real though). But my question is, should I wear it everytime I see him? It is a little formal to wear with a normal outfit like jeans and a tanktop. I wore it to a New Years party and he noticed that I was wearing it cause he said, "oh you are wearing it!" and was playing with it. Should I wear it to school? It just seems a little formal. Do you think he would care if I didn't? I sorta wish he would have gotten me something a little casual.

right now i have light brown hair thats about 3 inches past my shoulders. i have a round/oval face. i was wondering if a shorter hairstyle would look ok on me... not too short. i want it to be layered with just a little bit of "spikeyness" and the last layer should just tounch my shoulders. does anyone have any good websites for this type of haircut?

that sounds like a good hair cut! i have a similar face shape, hair as you and do you know what would look cute? that hair cut ashlee simpson had at the new years thing last year. i cant find a pic from that night but ill send pics that kinda look like it. it was like just above her shoulder, layered with side bangs (it was black at the time if it helps)

okay i am 14/f in case it matters

okay well you see, my cousins from arizona came up for christmas and new years to visit us. one is 16 and the other is 22. well they came up and they were staying at my grandmas hosue. well i wanted to hang out with them so i figured id spend the night (by the way both of my cousins are guys). anyways so i got there and my grandparents werent there. my cousins said that they went to dinner 2 hours away at some really fancy returaunt. well, they took me upstairs and they told me to sit ont the bed. they started kissing me and slowy putting their hands down my pants and up my shirt. since i had never had a real boyfriend befor they told me that they were only showing me what to expect when i had one. so thye kept doing all this stuff to me and made me do some weird stuff to them and practically forced me to have sex with them.

Ok guys, Im somewhat at a loss. Most questions on this website tend to be at least somewhat mundane. Stuff that, while it could be very important to the poster, isnt life threatening or seriously life altering.

However, every once in a while, we come to the ones that ask a question about something where they stand to screw either their own, someone elses, or both lives.

Case in point, Ive just answered the second question from a girl who is 16 and wants to get pregnant when shes single, living at home, and basically incapable of supporting herself, much less a baby.

Now, this is not the only example, just a very recent one. Worst of all, many of the questioners in these cases are completely opposed to opposing points of view. They are determined that theirs is the right course of action, and are determined to screw themselves and others in the process.

So, my question to the masses, is does anyone know how to get through to idiots like this? Does anyone even think its possible? Im asking mostly those 18 and up, anyone can respond but Im looking for viewpoints from people who are at least looking back at the high school perspective, not in the throes of it.

well i didnt read the story and nor do i want to but did you check out cliff notes.com or sparknotes? they usually tell you wants going and stuff and means seperate from the story! thats what i did for a book i read and it really helped
