My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

Is it underweight for a 5"2 13-year-old girl to be 87 lbs?

yes and no. my sister is your age and height and shes about 100 pounds which is average. i wouldnt say you are underweight but you are no where near overweight.. your just under average which is alright.. just dont lose more weight!

they always say that your grades don't matter in 9th grade...is that true? i am very worried about an exam tomorrow...could it be the difference between harvard and virginia tech? lol

it doesnt matter. its on your transcript and colleges can see those grades. some colleges take them more serious than others. i would say its the difference between harvard and vt because to get into harvard you would prob have to have atleast straight As 3 of your 4 years of hs. anyways treat the test like it was but dont make yourself over nervous

I want to send something to from NY to SF and was wondering if anyone knew about how many days it takes. I want it to get there on a particular date; so I want to know when to send it out.

it depends on what you are sending. if its normal mail i would think it takes about 3 days depends on what time of day you mail it. check with your post office.. they are the only ones who can tell you for sure

I put this in spirituality even though it doesn't really fit...

When I was a young teen I was very active in my church and school. I was in the choir, I helped to organize the children's liturgy, and I took part in the discussions and events that our Catechist organized all the time.

When I was seventeen I feel in love with another girl. For a few months we kept our relationship secret, but eventually it had to come out and my church pretty much ostracized me and told me in no uncertain terms that my help was no longer needed. My relationship with that girl lasted for two years and we are still very close friends. What happened with my church makes me very sad, but I don't regret my choices. I am a bi-sexual woman and I'm not ashamed of it.

The problem is now I am dating a guy and have been for a while. Old friends from the church are suddenly talking to me and being all nice and welcoming again. It's breaking my heart because I know if this relationship ends and I meet a woman I want to date I'll be kicked out again just as quickly. They keep inviting me out to dinner or to mass, (I have kept going over the years but I'm basically ignored by everyone.) Part of me wants desperately to be accepted and loved by these people again, the other part of me is just furious with the way they treated me and the pressure they are putting on me now to conform. Should I just accept this while it lasts or should I maybe say something to these people?

theres a catholic for you.. they have weird ways sometimes let me tell you(haha i am one) they are rude and judgemental and nonaccepting.. i think you should say something to them and if they are rude leave your church.. ive accually gone to a methodist church before. they have basically they same beliefs but they are more accepting

im not african american but i think girls with your hair look sweet with like cornrow braids.. not like guy ones but you know like the ones you get at the beach. check out mtv.com and go to the sweet 16 part. there were alot of girls on that show with your kinda hair and did lots of cute hair styles

I have a really bad cramp right now. I've already taken medicine and it hasn't gone away. I can barly stand up for more then 30 seconds because I have such a bad cramp. My flow is also pretty heavy right now, is this making it worse?
What are something I can do to realive the pain? Please help me!

ussually i take warm baths and it helps. also put a heating pad on you it really helps. i didnt think it would till i tried it. ussually if you do it for a half an hour it last a few hours. also swimming helps me.. i know thats the last thing you want to do but try to find a health club near you or somewhere with a pool

what are some things to do or say when your friend is really sad? he just got a really bad grade on midterms and i am having a hard time cheering him up

i would say help him study.. because you can always make him temp. happier but if you help him with his grades he will be much happier in the long run

for girls- when ever i get my period i am fine during the day - my pads NEVER leak. however, when i go to bed, they very often do. it seems as though the pad just doesn't protect the back of my underwear for some reason...but only when i lie down! how can i prvent this...i have the kind of pads with wings, so i can't put it much farther back, can i? i know there are longer pads made, but is there anything i can do to prevent leaks for now with the pads i have? (i have tampons too, but isn't sleeping with them in too long of a itme period to keep the same one in?) anyways, what can i do? thanks!

omg the same thing happens to me. what i do is use my moms pads to sleep in because they are little longer and more absorbant... i know it makes you feel like an old lady but it works! also if you wear thongs to be dont! wearing granny panties are much more leak proof. also change your pad literally right before you go to bed and if you can get up right in the middle of the night to check. if you get less than 8 hours of sleep on school nights like most of us do you can wear a tampon too! it wont kill you but i dont recommend it unless the other things didnt work.

My mom keeps giving my dad crap about how he doesn't pay the child support, but she keeps going and spending the money on stupid crap.
The question i actually have is, when does a parent have to stop paying child support? Does he have to pay till the child is 18 and legally an adult, or does he have to keep paying until the child has graduated from high school? OR, is it determined differently for each divorce?
I'm 18 and in California. If anyone knows the actual details on this, i would GREATLY appreciate it. If your info is right, i'll give 5s

well in most cases the father has to until the childs 18th birthday and after that its up to them.. but every devorce is dif.. like some might decided that the dad only has to pay for the childs college or whatever

well i noticed everyone listed like pop songs.. the song shake that by eminem is a good rap like party fun song. any kind of remix is good because they are usually more upbeat. it all really depends on personal taste. if you are looking for something for like a party check out yahoo music

i think its launch.yahoo.com it has a top 100 list with alot of hiphop songs on it that are popular.

the song badd its pretty good to. i know alot of people like it and its somewhat up beat but it can def get more upbeat.

To Start, What is a college Transcript?
What do colleges look for? If I started off my freshman year with grades of C's and lower, will colleges look at that too?

Also if you could, Will you please give me the ways you study effectively? Like, where and little tips you have. Thanks. Finals are coming up and I sure would appreciate the help.

its like what you send your college. it has all your grades (9th grade and up) your sat score, an essay your write (depending on the school) and like all your school activities. they look at all you grades.. well not the accual grades but the final gpa. they wont take incount your grading scale or anything because like a d somewhere might be a c somewhere else or something like that. they also understand that freshman year is harder b/c you have to ajust and whatnot but they still concider it. if you do better the rest of the school years they wont care about your freshman year as much but if you have all cs or lower they will look at that even though your change of getting into any college is extremely hard with those grades but it is still possible. just think positive and do well. you can always improve and the more gradual improvement you have the more they will want you in their school

18 unless you have like a friend do in like illegally. i think if you younger someplaces will do it as long as you have someone over 18 with you. i would have a parent though because some of those places can be dirty and unsanitary and parents are good at finding safe places

Okay tonight i was suposed to go see a movie with my boyfriend and some of his friends. By the way Im 15 and hes 16. The movie was rated R and I told him to get his parents to go ahead and get them in advance. But he didnt take my advice we get there and we buy tickets to another movie. Well then the movie i wanted to see ... they were checking ticket. Now Im pissed because I really wanted to see this movie and Me & my bf were the only 2 who didnt get in. Ok im 14, 15 in 2 weeks, is it normal that i still hwear a 34A? Everyone of my friends has bigger boobs than i do and when im around them i feel like i dont belong and when were around guys they arent looking at me just because i dont have big boobs. Are they just taking longer to grow. or have i stopped growing and this is how theyre going to stay?

its fine to wear that size.. it it all depends on your genetics. like if your mom and grandmothers have big boobs then your just growing slower.. but if they have small boobs you may be done. acually your boobs dont stop growning until your body things you are 18 but you really dont know how old your body accually things you are unless you get a special xray for that.. like im 16 but my bone age is like 17.5

acually you gain weight. because your body retains more water and you get bloated.. and dont forget all the food you are eating when you get cravings.. the only way i see what you said is that when you work out and excersize it makes your period better which means your losing weight at the same time

I get really shy when it comes to eating around people other than my famliy and my closest friends. If I'm at lunch and everyone else is eating I feel ok about eating in front of them, but If no one is eating I get nervous about eating when they aren't. So I just was invited to a friend's 16th birthday party and it is going to be at a hotel. Its a fancy dinner party really...and I'm nervous about eating with 50 other people around me. Its not that I'm worried about my weight or how I look, I just don't feel right eating when other people are around. What should I do at the party? Should I just not go? Or should I go and not eat if no one else is eating?

i know how you feel.. its happened to me.. just go! you cant ever get over your fear if you never face it. eat before hand so when you go you dont have to big out and you can just kinda snack on the food
