about

As John Lennon once said, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans." So true.

Giving advice is sort of second nature to me. I use to have a column on here but ended up deleting it. Now once again I have decided to give advice again. I value people and their problems and try to help them the best I can.

No question is a silly question. Every question has importance. I sometimes feel like some of my questions I want to ask are viewed as pointless but have comed to realize that this isn't entirely true.

My biggest pet peeves are bad spelling, grammar and punctuation. It's silly, but I mean it's not that difficult to tell the difference between you're and your. Or even their, they're and there. No offense if you do any of this, but we learned all of these when we were younger in 5th grade (give or take).

Personally one of my favorite quote is by Eleanor Roosevelt. "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
If only people would truly realize this, the world would be so much happier.

advice

I wear a 34A bra, and my breasts are just too small for the rest of my body. I wear padded bras, but I've only found one kind that fits me right.

What I need is this:
1) Bra that has a lot of padding that looks smooth and natural on the outside of my shirt.
2) Bra that has some push up so give me cleavage while making my breasts look bigger all around for low cut tops.

I'd really prefer to hear from girls who have USED the bra before and approve of it...not just guesses. Brand names would be great...but links would be even better.

Two words. Victoria's Secret. It will probably break the bank, but the bras last a long long long time. They have a lot of bra styles that have padding and create cleavage. I usually wear Body by Victoria and Ipex, I'm not your size though, but they have so many different styles you could find one.

This is a Secret Embrace bra that's good.

Both are good, and the look natural under shirts. Smooth, with no "bra lines" from the cup. Plus both are good for low cut tops.

Hope this helps. :)

is being able to sing well something that you have to be born with, or is it something you can be taught?

thanks!

Truly, it can be both. But half the people who are singers today had talent but also were taught by vocal coachs. So don't be surprised if you go to a vocal coach and are really a good singer. Many people go to vocal training and eventually have great voices. It depends on the level of training, and how well you sing originally. But anyone can be a good singer.

Hope this helps. :)

mkay. i don't think is going to be long but basically, my boyfriend broke up with me a few weeks ago.
the day after i figure out that he liked another girl when me and him were starting to have problems, and was going to dump me either way. he told me that the people who told me were lying but i heard it from his best friend so i don't know how that works out.
anyways. i still like him for some reason. i don't want to, i just do. i told him this once before but he told me he doesn't think of me that way anymore. i want him too, but he doesn't.
now, i find out that one of my friend's likes him and shes trying to go somewhere with him. which sucks because i'm still not over him.

what should i do?

To be honest, it's never worth getting back together with your ex. You two called it quits for a reason. Since he's moving on the best thing for you to do is to move on also. There's a ton of guys out there that won't treat you like your ex did! I mean he broke up with you for some other chick. How pathetic is that? You should not want to get back with him just from the way he treated you. You'll find someone else and will be happier.

Do not wallow in saddness. It'll be the worst thing for you to do. I know you might want to at one point but don't. That's like letting your ex win by you being upset. If you want to talk about it talk about it. If you want to scream about how he treated you then scream. If you feel like punching someone in the face then punch a pillow. You're going to get mad, sad, angry, and upset. There a times you're going to want to cry, and guess what? You should cry. You need to let your emotions out. But do not wallow in hurt. If you wallow you're eventually going to end up staying there. So you need to get on your feet and say, "Hey so what if (insert ex's name here) broke up with me. He's going to break some other girl's heart too. And then someone will break his. But I'm so over that."

Do something too. Walk your dogs if you have any, read, write, paint, jog, run, take up a yoga class at the gym, shop, but get out there. The perfect boy for you right now could be right around the corner you never know.

As for the friend. You know what, one day she'll get what's coming to her. It's karma. (Same thing for your ex too) How can she like him after what he did to you? I mean come on, it's obvious he's a heart breaker. Let it be with your friend and just know that even if they get together he's probably going to do the same thing he did to you.

Anyway, I hope this helps you tons. If you need anything message me. But just get out there and forget both of them. You'll get over this obstacle like a champ. :)

I've read recently that putting a ocld spoon over your eye helps get rid of bags under eyes.
How do you do this && does it really help?

You freeze a spoon, or if you want two overnight and when you wake up put them over your eyes. It reduces the swelling and puffiness.

You might want to try this mask they have for that purpose instead of the spoons. The masks have gel in them that cools. You can leave that in the freezer overnight instead of the spoons. I think it'd be a lot easier to use that than the spoons honestly. Target sells the masks in the beauty section by make up.

Hope this helps.

ok i need professionals on this one ok a week ago i had sex without protection and ever since i have been throwing up for 3 days in row and feeling sick most of the day i think i am just sick but could it be possible for me to already fell signs of mornign sickness
(first time) maybe just nerves

Get a home pregnancy test, or go to a doctor. Don't want to go to a doctor? See if there are any free clinics or ERs you can go to.

I doubt you're pregnant, BUT not eliminating that possibility. You might be making yourself sick from your nerves like you said. So try relaxing for a day, and don't get worried. On that day try deep breathing and relaxing music. And whatever you do don't think about pregnancy. See if you vomit. If you don't you can elimnate you being pregnant, and it shows it's just your nerves.

Good luck and hope this helps. :)

ok i really like like this girl and she really likes likes me but i already asked her out but shes taking alot of time to say that she will go out with me and she says she does want to and she always hits at it and like kisses me on msn and stuff. what should i do?????

Communication is key. Talk to her about it. Plainly ask her why she keeps hinting all the time about her liking you, but when you asked her out she keeps taking a lot of time. She should have some good reason for taking time to respond. She's probably weighing her options, trying to see if she really wants to go out with you. So I highly doubt it's you personally but really her trying to think if it's for her benefit to go out with you in a sense.

Just talk to her, and ask her about it. Be upfront and be honest. Be persistant too. She'll have to give you an answer then instead of wasting time.

Good luck and I hope this helps. :)

my dog had to be put down a couple days ago. I can't get over it. what shall I do?

I am deeply sorry to hear that you had to put your dog down. Usually in the past when I had to put a pet down I would think that if he/she was in pain that their in a better place now where they cannot feel the pain. I'm not sure why you had to put your dog down, but if it was sickness or even old age you need to think that he/she is pain-free now and is a lot happier to be without the pain that they once had.

You have to think that you're dog served it's purpose to be there for you not only as an animal but a companion. You should remember the better times you had with your dog in general and try to think of that. You grew attached to your dog, and no other dog will ever be seen in the same light as that. At one point you will probably want to get another dog, with another type of personality as your other one. You'll once again have that companion/dog you care deeply for.

Many people think it's crazy to become attached to your dog, so I truly understand what you're going through. My older female dog got really sick in December and we almost had to put her down. I just kept thinking that she's in pain right now, and if worse comes to worse we'll need to put her down since what would be the point of keeping a dog I care about alive for my own personal benefit?

You want to remember the dog when he had good times with you, not when he was sick and ill at the end. Dogs want to be with their owners greatly, even if in pain, they will stay by your side. But sometimes it's up to us to realize that the dog is in a great deal of pain, and we need to help release it if it's unable to be cured and put the dog down.

Once again I am so sorry for your loss. It's something I can truly identify with. If you need anything message me. I'm here if you need someone to talk to about your grieving. Stay strong, betters times will come again. It's okay to be upset and cry, but remember the dog as it once was and that he or she is in a better place now.

i do not eat red meat red meat or pig.
i was a vegetarian [1 year] but then i switched to
just staying away from red meat/pork about, 6 months ago . and about a couple times a week i will eat chicken or fish maybe.

what are some good recipes to get protein, and feel refreashed and not sleepy all the time.
i know i dont get enough protein.
how can i change this without changing
me eating red meat or pork. and keeping the

what are some good ways to feel full
and not just eat carbs the whole day?

I don't eat red meat or pork either and the way I keep up with having protein is with chicken, turkey, peanut butter and mixed nuts surprisingly. Have a few mixed nuts like almonds and walnuts throughout the day. You can toss them in salads and ton of other foods so you could have protein. As a snack during the day you can cut up an apple and take some peanut to spread on the apple as a snack. It's another way to have protein while eating fruit.

To feel full during the day drink a lot of water. For me it keeps me feeling full without hunger for some reason. Also it's recommended that you eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. Eating the 2 snacks will help you stay full during the day, keep up your metabolism and not over eat during meals. For the snacks you could have yogurt and granola, and even the apple with peanut butter for protein.

I hope this helps you. :)

Dear Mrs. Web,

Three months ago, my wife abruptly separated from me and moved across the country. Recently, my wife revealed that she and one of my best friends had sex several times within weeks of her leaving. This friend was a groomsman at our wedding, and has been close to me for 5 years or so. My conundrum involves what I should do with this knowledge. We are all part of a tight knit group of friends from college has stayed close even years after we graduated.

I worry that revealing this knowledge will tear our group apart and hurt so many people. On the other hand, it feels like a difficult burden to carry this experience around without having those people who are closest to me aware of what I am going through. Should I tell my friend that I know about his infidelity with my wife? Should I tell some of our closest friends about this infidelity so they can comfort me, or should I keep it to myself so that our group of friends can stay strong? I'm extremely torn about what to do, and would love to hear any advice you have.

Thanks,
Torn and confused

I am sorry for what happened to you. It is such a sticky situation, so it's totally understandable how you're torn also. You definitely need a confidant and should open up about what happened. It's unbelievable that a friend who was a groomsman and especially a college friend would do something like that.

My best advice is ask him first. See what he says. I know it's going to be tough to go up to him and ask him, but frankly it's the only sensible thing to do first. Just ask him honestly, and see what he says. You can most likely tell if you're friend is lying to you. If he does lie that's when I think you should go to your group and say something to them. They should know the truth. If he does come clean, depending on how reacts, tell them the truth too. They have a right to know that something like this went on within the group. Your friends will probably be shocked and all, and most of them probably will not like the news, but they need to see how one friend treated you. I don't see how you could even go on acting like everything is okay knowing what he did.

I would think most of the friends in your group would be upset at him for sleeping with your wife, then at you for bringing it to their attention. So in the long run your friend is going to be the one who has people frustrated with him, and wanting to loosen a tie.

I wish you luck and hope this helps you. Stay strong through this difficult time you can most definitely come though this. If you need message me again.

is there a way to transfer songs from one person's itunes to another?

You can if you really wanted to. Like if you're transferring it from your iTunes to like a siblings or someone in your family. The reason I'm saying that is because if you do you have to authorize the computer to play the song you bought with the other account through iTunes. They'll ask you for your email address and password to authorize the computer when you go to play the song. I totally don't recommend this for friends, since they'll be able to get your account information and such, and will be able to access your account.

You can email the songs to the other person's computer, or even put it in a USB jump drive/flash drive. After that play it in iTunes. A message will come up saying you need to authorize the computer to play the song, and do so if you want. After that the computer will be able to play the songs whenever you want since it'll be authorized to play the music.

Hope this helps. :)

I have this "friend" and she is totally annoying. She calls me, talks to me all the time, and is really obsessed with this fugly guy Tyler. Well I think she knows we (me and my bff) don't like her, but i also feel bad because NOBODY DOES!!! What can i do without hurting her feelings? %(

There's a girl in my school like this. She latches on to people even if she suspects them totally not liking her. She just brushes it off, but latches on to people to stay their friends.

I always say be honest with the person. No matter what you do you will hurt her feelings. Even if you don't mean it. Try talking to her and tell her that sometimes people need their space, and sometimes she doesn't give you and your friend that space. She needs to realize at one point that she can't latch on to friends to stay friends with people. Just talk and tell her how you feel. That's really the best advice I can give you.

Hope this helps and good luck. If anything message me. :)

I like one of my guy friends a lot! and a few days ago we went to WonderLand with our other friends. Well the whole time we were their he ignored me and turned away when i talked to him. Even though in November he liked me a whole lot and a month ago he reminded me. While we were there he was also very close to one of my friends. Maybe it was because she enjoys roller coasters and i don't? I tried, but im just not a roller coaster person, and my never be.

Honestly he might have liked you in November and reminded you a month ago, but it seems that now he's totally into that other girl (the very close friend on yours). This always happens with guy friends, but don't get upset over it. I doubt it was the roller coasters I think it's just the fact that he's moved on in a sense. You'd know if a guy liked you if he was interested in what you were saying, remembered every little detail of the conversation and always held eye contact with you.

Wait a while. You'll move on exactly like he did. There are so many better guys out there so please don't get discouraged. You'll meet one and realize that your guy friend was totally not worth the emotion and time.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

well before my and bf started going out he was about to go out with this other girl. but we ended up being together anyways. one time i got on my bf's myspace and i was 1st on his top but then the other girl was 2nd. i shrugged it off. now i just added that girl as my friend on myspace and her name is 'summer_love' and everything on her page is about love love love and guess who 1st on her tops? yes, my bf. i dunno if i'm just paranoid or something's up. any advice?

If you aren't comfortable with your boyfriend having this girl as his friend, try confronting your boyfriend about her. See what he says. If he acts very unnatural and all uptight, trying to brush things off, you might have a reason to be upset. You can tell when your boyfriend is trying to hide something by the way he acts, so see what he does when you bring the girl up.

If his reaction isn't a pleasant one, you know that there is a possibility of something going on. That's when you break up with him. Once again if you are completely not comfortable with the relationship and where things are going.

If it boils down to breaking up don't worry about it. There's plenty of other guys out there, and you totally cannot cry over spilt milk.

Hope this helps, and good luck. Message me if you need anything. :)

Searching for…

A moisturizer with SPF that isn’t greasy or heavy (WON’T CAUSE ME TO BREAK OUT!) and can be found at stores like Target, Fred Meyer, etc. It can’t clog pores

Hopefully one that would give me a glow/bright look….

Links please.

Best one, and the one I use is Neutrogena Healthy Defense Moisturizer. It's available in light and untinted. The light gives you a sort of glow. Plus the moistruizer has SPF 30, which is great. I costs about $12 at the Target where I am. Since it's Neutrogena it won't clog pores and won't cause a break up and an added bonus is it's very light, not heavy or greasy at all. It's weightless and you won't even feel it on.

Hope this helps you. :)

i'm sort scared that my boyfriend and i are growing apart and if i do talk to him,not much changes.i just want to know if breking up with him is what i should do.i wana stay together but i also want to do whats best for us.i just don't know what that is...

Sometimes things can't be fixed or resolved. It's hard if you and him are growing apart and it wouldn't be fair for both of you to stay in the relationship. Staying in the relationship would make things worse for you two. Breaking up will be the best thing for both of you. After the break up just get out there and experience life. You'll be better off breaking up with him anyways. There's a lot out of guys out there so no worries.

Good luck, and I hope this helps. :)

I've never heard this,
i found it on a xanga,
with a lot of song lyrics
and quotes.
and so, it says
"i'm not cold, she says, but she's shaking, as she's lying next to me naked."
and then im pretty sure the quote said
"pull her hair back from her face & let her smile warm this place"
or something similar to that.
i found it about 3 months ago on the xanga,
and the owner hadnt logged on since like october 2006
so it had to have come out some time before then,
if its a song does anyone know it?
i searched a lot of different forms of that on google, but nothing helpful came up.

I'm not sure if this is it, but it's kind of similar. I doubt it's this though, but it's worth a shot. Try Beautiful Love by the Afters. It's from the show 8th and Ocean that use to be on MTV. Maybe that's it.

Hope this helps. :)

Ok I'm 13 years old and my breast are only an 34A. But one of them is bigger than the other! i already figured out that their is no friken hope and that im going to stay this small for the rest of my friken life!!!!! WHAT DO I DO????!!!! THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!! HELP!!!!!!!! What do I do about the size and how do i get them the same size and how do i get them bigger?

First you're 13 so stay calm. Usually they are still growing at that age. Secondly it's normal for one breast to be bigger than the other. Completely normal so don't worry. Stay calm and wait, you're still growing so your size will become bigger.

Hope this helps. :)

alrighty this could be long so bear with me
well hello everybody, how are you?
i'm pretty good, except for one little thing
little bit of backstory here:
a couple of years ago *two, to be exact* i volunteered at a camp so i could get my 20 service hours for 8th grade *i ended up with like...100*. well i met this girl that was also volunteering there, and we became friends over the summer, and did some things as friends with a group until around christmas. then we sort of just stopped talking- we weren't mad at each other, we just became really really busy. so i saw her at random places throughout the last year and a half or so, but never really talked to her a whole lot

well fast forward to now, and i've begun to volunteer at the camp again- and guess who's there! yep, the same girl! and she looks beautiful and is just such a nice person, but i can't seem to talk to her- everytime i get a chance i freeze up and can't keep the conversation going (it doesn't help that she's in a swimsuit, either- she only works on pool days). so what can i do? i think she kinda likes me because she was trying to get the extremely annoying little 8 year olds to leave us alone for a while so we could have some alone time, but they wouldn't so we never really got to be alone...
so what can i do? i have her AIM SN but she hasn't been on in a while...
i was thinking about asking her to go see a movie this weekend or sometime next week...would that be a bad idea? i am just completely retarded when it comes to this kind of thing and any help is greatly appreciated!
thank you very much for you help/opinion
by the way i am 15/m and she's 15/f

Asking her out to a movie wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Also if you wanted you could offer to do something where you two can catch up and just talk. It'll help you feel more comfortable around her. Ask her out to like a resturant for lunch or dinner after the movie. So you guys can have that talking/catching up time. Try asking her out to dinner and a movie.

Ask her for her number too, since she isn't on AIM a lot (what it seems like from what you said). If you get her number call her once in awhile to jus talk to her and all.

Good luck and I hope this helps. :)

If you ask someone out, and they say no, what do you do next?

Rejection is normal, and we all face it at one point. If they do say no, just stay strong and positive. Say something like "Oh okay, well thanks for the honesty." You could say that you guys should be friends to just let the hurt of the rejection simmer down. You can also use humor too to make the situation less unbearable. Saying something like "Ha okay, now this is a little uncomfortable. Well thanks for telling the truth. Not a lot of guys out there are honest." Comedic relief, you'll feel less out of place if you do use a little humor.

Just remember that the last thing you want to do is hint that you're upset. It's not worth getting frustrated or hurt over. A lot of people try not to, but if you do it's normal and natural. But just think a lot of people have been in your shoes before with rejection and it's made them stronger. Even if they reject you it shows that you've got a ton of self confidence to even go up and approach the person, plus ask him out. Most people usually get shy.

Hope this helps you tons. :)
