I want to go to brown, i'm only a freshman but i reallyy have my heart set on it, the only thing is i suck at math, i don't like to study it either. I hate math so i'm afraid if i keep having a b,that Brown wont take me, thats my only b but like i said, i have my heart set. I'm also in swimming so i don't have the time to do any other extra curricular activites since i leave the school every day seventh period to swim so... i have a feeling brown wont take me since i go to a public school, have a b in one class and i'm not in any extra curricular activities, but i am only a freshman, do you think they would?? and also, should i be doing stuff now to give me a better chance of getting in??
if its only your freshman year getting a B really isnt anything to worry about. Schools look mostly at your junior year and maybe by then you'll have a better math teacher and bring that grade up to an A. Schools look at trends so even if you got a C freshman year and then a B sophomore year and an A junior year, you'd still have a pretty good chance of getting in.
Schools also look at if you've done community service and extra curriculars or if you were in any clubs. Good attendance is also a plus because it shows dedication. They also look at jobs or anything you might have done that shows responsibility or leadership. I really dont think you need to start worrying about it yet, but its just some stuff to think about.

So to start off you must know that according to people in my school I'm in the "popular" clique. It kinda sucks because whenever I like a guy they think I'm joking or pulling a prank just because of my "status". It really sucks because now people are like you must have really high standards because you don't like anyone! Which is totally not true it's pretty much the exact opposite! ok so i got a new phone in september and i hate it. its too late to return it but it doesnt work sometimes. today i called my friend ten times and she never got them!!! the phone goes to the voicemail and all but it never goes to them. its not her phone because it happens to other people too. other times it doesnt let me end calls and i have to take the battery out. the phone flips up into a "T" kinda shape. anyway, i really want the new EN V (i have verizon) but i dont want to pay the whole price. how can i get a new phone in exchange for this one?!?!?!?!?
im sorry but there really isn't a way to trade phones. The only thing that could work so you dont have to pay sooo much is selling your phone and using the money you get from that to buy a new one. Ive had verizon for a long time and its such a pain, but yeah there isn't much you can do about it now sorry :(

i have a big nose i guess you could say, and i have like NO Lips. sucky combination right?
is there anything i can do to make my lips look bigger, more full? there just so skinny. and i know you cant really fix the nose, but is there anything else i can do because i feel like people are always staring at it :(

there are alot of plumping lipglosses that you can buy, they dont do much, but they do make your lips look a little more plump. They even have them at drugstores and stuff.. just look for a lipgloss that says plumping or plumper on it
and for the nose all i got is that you probably thinkk it looks bigger than it actually is and the only way i think you could "fix" it without surgery is to distract attention from it by putting makeup like on your cheeks or something.

I have relatively clear skin. I get the occasional pimple on my face. Like every other month. But.. for some reason.. i know this is really gross.. i have acne on my butt. What can I do to clear this up
actually this isn't that uncommon... i saw an issue about it in like seventeen or cosmogirl or something like that awhile ago haha. I would guess that wearing looser (is that a word? haha)pants would help. And dont like wash your butt with fragrenced soap or gel or anything. Use a mild cleanser and exfoliate every once in a while to get all the pore clogging stuff out of there. put a oil free fragrence free lotion, like what you would use on your face on after you shower. I guess if its really bad you could try acne cream but that might dry it out... hope that helps

ive never had an ipod, so I want a fairly cheap one that maybe holds, 5000 songs. I dont need to be able to watch videos or movies on my ipod, just a simple one that can have a case, maybe a color. what kind should i ask for?
unfortunately, all of the ipods that go could go and buy in an apple store or something besides the shuffle (which doesn't hold 5000 songs) have video on them which makes them more expensive. The most basic ipod you could get in an apple store that has 5000 songs is the nano. They just came out with a new one and it's pretty cool, but also pretty expensive.
I dont know if you're into this kind of thing, but maybe you could by one used. I know the first and second generation nano dont have video, and the mini doesn't either. They'd also be much cheaper if you bought them used anyways.

i have unlimited text/picture/video messaging. for some reason, my picture messaging doesn't work. and its not my phone, becasue the phone i had before this didn't work either. the rest of my family can send pictures, but i can't. does anyone know a reason of why it wouldn't work? a setting i maybe need to change? (btw, my phone is a tmobile dash, but i dont know if that will help becasue it hasn't been working for the 4 years i've had a phone, and the phone i had before this one was different.)
i only had this happen with one of my phones, not two in a row but it sounds like you have the same problem as i did. I had picture messaging blocked on my account. If you call the help line for tmobile (im sorry i dont know what it is) and tell them about this problem than they'll be able to fix it for you. It just takes alot of waiting :(

well yeah you def should not wear a tampon when you dont have your period. Its even sometimes not recomended to wear them in the beginning and at the end of your period. What you could do is wear a pantyliner when you're expecting your period but not sure when it will come and then carry a tampon with you and switch when you get your period. But yeah DONT WEAR TAMPONS WHEN YOU DONT HAVE YOUR PERIOD! haha sorry for the caps but i've heard that in can cause some pretty serious problems if you do. good luck!

I have a really bad gag reflex (gag really easily)...anything I can do about it/make it better?
for medical reasons it might be good to have a really strong gag reflex, but if you want to get rid of it, i found an easy little thing to do.
When you're brushing your teeth, brush your tongue. Brush it right where you start to gag and eventually it will get desensitized. But while ur getting used to it, you will gag. When you no longer gag at the starting point, than you can keep moving the brush back and eventually you wont have that much of a gag reflex anymore. It took about a month for me. But do it again every once in a while or your gag reflex will come back

i did too. You should go to a dermatologist and ask for acutane. Its a really strong drug so it's kind of a pain, but after 6 months, your acne should be gone forever. You have to get an appointent every month, and have blood taken within the week before that appointment, you're not supposed to wear contacts or go in the sun, and if you're a girl, they get pretty crazy about birth control stuff because it can cause birth defects...
until then you can just use over the counter products and hope for the best... wash your face twice a day with a face was containing salicylic acid, use an oil free moisturizer, and in the morning use a salicylic acid cream and at night use one with benzoyl peroxide (warning this will take the color out of clothes and stuff so be careful)... good luck!

i just got my env2 about 4 months ago and today i dropped it and now the whole inside screen doesn't work. the keypad lights up but the screen remains black and im going to go to verizon tomorrow. but before then i am about to have a full inbox. is there anyway i can delete text messages from the outside. thanks so muchh!
no you can't, but im pretty sure that when your inbox is full on an env2, it will automatically delete the earliest messages to make room for the new ones.... atleast i know thats what it does on the outbox... but if you want to try deleting all your messages then open your phone and press the menu button, then press the 2 key, then the big button on the upper right side of the keyboard, and then the 4 key... if that made any sense at all lol hope that helps ?

if you have really really dark hair and you want to go alot lighter, than i would not recommend doing it yourself... its just so easy to mess up. Get it done professionally. If you want to just go a little bit lighter than maybe you could do it yourself.

perms make your hair curly, but there are also ways to chemically straighten your hair. They are called Japanese straightening, which is mainly for people with really really thick hair, and is more damaging, and theres also Brazilian which is for less thick hair and less damaging. Also unlike japanese, brazilian fades out. With japanese, once your hair starts growing out, the new hair will grow in curly but the ends will stay straight, which would look kinda weird if you didn't get it re-done.

it could happen. Most of the girls i've known who were freshman and dated seniors got labeled as sluts, but not al of them. And most girls mature faster than guys so its really not that big of an age difference. Good luck!

whenever me and my boyfriend have sex we always use a condom, but when he pulls out the condom stays in me and then he takes it out after he's out. Is there any chance sperm can get in me this way? yeah sorry but there is a chance that you could get pregnant. it could leek out of the condom and into you. I think that your boyfriend should by smaller condoms because if this always happens than that probably means that they are too loose.
