When you're brushing your teeth, brush your tongue. Brush it right where you start to gag and eventually it will get desensitized. But while ur getting used to it, you will gag. When you no longer gag at the starting point, than you can keep moving the brush back and eventually you wont have that much of a gag reflex anymore. It took about a month for me.
