Well, a few weeks ago, my best friend's boyfriend (also a really, really close friend of mine) was admitted into the hospital after somehow getting his head stuck in the stair banister and almost sufficating to death. He was in a coma and we didn't know if he'd ever wake up. He did (thank god!) but he is still at the hospital because he doesn't remember how he did it so they have to make sure he didn't do it to himself. Almost all of our other close friends have already seen him (my bff, my "should be boyfriend", and their other best friend), except for me. I miss this boy sooo much, but while its heard for me, it's even harder for my best friend and his best friend (my "should be"). How do I stay strong for them when they need me the most while I'm crying inside? (link)

okk its hard on everyone. you cant really "stay strong" for them. i know that seems like the right thing to do but you miss him to. its not your responsibility to stay strong for them. everyones sad and its just gonna take some time.

13/f. I have an incredibly embarassing first/full name. The girls and boys in school laugh when the teacher calls it out (I DEF. go by a nick name) and then they always call me by it, even though i have a nick name, to make me mad. and so they laugh even more. i know not to let them see that it bothers me, but it does so much. and its not just a simple long name, its so long and stupid and i dont know ANYONE else with it. I just feel so different becuase its always on my records and whatnot so i'm forced to use it when i dont want to, and of course poeple hear. what do i do?! im so upset and tired of it. (link)

i have a pretty bad last name too. what you just do is when ppl call you it just kinda give them a bad look and say thanks. and then laugh. cause once they see it doesnt bother you they will barely call you it.

14/f. My BEST guy friend is Taylor. We tell each other everything and he is the only guy that I can call up and have a real converstation with. A few days ago he told me that he likes my best friend, Rachael. Ever since then, I've been VERY protective of him. If he's talking to Rachael, for example, I'll pull him away just so that I can talk to him. Or if he's not talking to me for just a second I feel rejected. I know that I don't like him because thats not what I'm feeling. We're just friends but why do I feel like I "NEED" to talk to him all the time? (link)

well. you may sorta be jelous of your friend Rachael. and if your best guy friend goes out with her then you'll be left out. thats probably what your thinking. but if you dont like him then you should give your friend a chance to get to know him

ok well there is this kid he is 15 and im 13 well hes good friends with my brother and my brother said that he told my brother that he thinks im cute and likes me well i used to like this kid a couple of years ago he asked me out and i being very stupid said maybe and never heard from him again so when he told my brother this about 2 weeks ago well i started to think...he has changed quite a bit since the last time i saw him hes kinda hott :) well he has a kinda not really but around this people a jocky additude but not around me well im to scared to talk to him and every time i see him he smiles at me is it a sign does he like me?? i dont know i need advice i have his sn but he doesnt know i do and i dont want to start a convorsation with him and asking my brother to help or any friends are out of the question so please help i will rate really high (5) for good answers thanks!! Okk. what i think you should do is talk to him on his s/n. just start off by saying who is this and then he'll tell u and you can be like ohh heyy. and start talking to him and stuff. and yeahh it seems that he really likes you if hes smiling at you and telling your brother.

okk. waxing will hurt for like a secound and then you feel refreshed. they basically put this hott/ warm stuff on you and then put the paper down and pull real quick. so basically the warm stuff makes your face kinda numb so you dont really feel it. Everyone gets nervous there first time.

Here's the story. I'm 13/F and I am like the only girl in my school who isn't obsessed with guys. Like, I get crushes and things but I'm not obsessed with guy watching or finding a boyfriend, or getting my first kiss. I feel like it's better to let things just happen instead of pressuring yourself to have it happen because then you might go after just about anyone. I'm also not into make-up and clothes. I don't wear any make-up, except cover up under my eyes to cover dark circles. And don't get me wrong, I like shopping, but I don't love it, and I think talking about clothes and make-up is pretty frivolous and unimportant, and a bit annoying. My weight is the next problem. Alot of my friends are always concerened about their weight and they talk about weight issues alot also. I don't have any problems with my weight though. My friends and I are pretty skinny but they still like count carbs and watch how much they eat, not to be healthy, just skinny and I don't.
My main problem is it makes me feel so different and unattached to my friends. I feel like I have nothing to talk about when they bring up guys and make-up and clothes and weight. I feel like I have nothing to say and I just sit to the side listening to them and wondering how they can be so.. I don't know, they aren't exactly shallow, but sometimes that's how they seem.
Don't get me wrong, that's not all they talk about, and when they don't I love hanging out and talking to them. But when they do I just don't know what to do.
Any help would be appreciated and I'm SO sorry it's so long!! (link)

hey, okay im kinda the same way with the boy thing. like im not boy crazy but i have had byfriends the trick is to just sway awy from the subject when it comes up. i findmyself in that situation alot and i will just start talking about other stuff lol. i know it may sound weird but it helps. and the whole weight thing...yea that is very common in girls around your age. if they start talking about weight just let them talk you should never feel like you have to put yourself down just to fit in with the conversation. and if you feel weird and left out, tell them if they are your friends, they wil try to take that into consideration.

If your wife is loving another man. theres a problem and you need to get a divorce. she cant have two men. its not right. Just say that you dont want her seeing him because your her husband and if she says no then say its time for a break.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 1/2 months. Before we started going out, we were really great friends. He was my best friend. And I have a STD, HIV actually. I got it from birth because my mother had to get a blood transplant and back in 1986 they didnt check blood for HIV and such, we've been talking about being intimate with eachother. I am 15 and I need to tell him before we have sex. I need help on the following things:
1.) How to tell him: What should I say? Should I have my sister whos like my best friend be there with us?
2.) When should I tell him?
3.) How do I handle the thoughts of being rejected and trusting him?
He is my best friend and I trust him and I talked to him and have told him that I have something I'd like to discuss with him and I made him guess on what it was and he said "is it a genetically passed STD?" and I did not say anything.
I'm scared that he will tell someone. He's very trusting but I dont know, He would be the only person I told besides one person and the only boyfriend I've told. Please help.
Comfort my thoughts on this so im not such a worried reck

okay, well to start off, you DEFINETLY need to tell him this. you guys cant have sex and risk him getting as STD and the finding out it was from you, that will make it worse. i think you should tell him you have to talk to him and just be like "look i know weve been talking about becoming intimate and i thnk i should let you know that i have HIV". And you have to know that some guys are asses and he might not be nice. but if hes not, your better without him cause if hes your best friend he should handle it well.

14/f. jonathon, my best guy friend, has been acting like a jerk to me the past few weeks. i got mad about it, and we kind of stayed away from each other for a few days. he and i were really close before then and told each other everything. as soon as jonathon and i quit talking for awhile, sarah, my other best friend, started hanging around him and he apparently "replaced" me with her in the sense that he began to tell her everything and stuff (his "depressing" life story and the big part that i played in it). so last night jonathon and i resolved our issues, and he told me that there's no excuse for the way he's been treating me, but the only reason that he's been weird is that he has a major crush on me and kind of doesn't know how to act around me right now because he likes me but doesn't want to scare me off (we had talked about not dating anybody until high school, so even if we like each other we kind of vowed to just stay friends). so now things are kind of how they used to be (after we were "cool" again, he asked me to this big banquet for next year as friends and i said okay). now i'm hoping that things are going to be just the way they were before. but, i'm worried that he's replaced me with sarah as somebody to talk to. do y'all think that i'm overreacting? by the way, i don't like him in that way, he's just my best friend. do you think that maybe he started hanging around sarah more to make me jealous or something? I think he doesnt know how to act around you so he tells sarah more stuff because he likes you. and maybe the stuff he asks her is how to be better friends with you. I dont think your overreacting but you shouldnt get mad at him for talking to your best friend. espicially if you dont like him like that. cause then it wouldnt matter right?
