14/f. My BEST guy friend is Taylor. We tell each other everything and he is the only guy that I can call up and have a real converstation with. A few days ago he told me that he likes my best friend, Rachael. Ever since then, I've been VERY protective of him. If he's talking to Rachael, for example, I'll pull him away just so that I can talk to him. Or if he's not talking to me for just a second I feel rejected. I know that I don't like him because thats not what I'm feeling. We're just friends but why do I feel like I "NEED" to talk to him all the time?

He seems like a great guy, and will probably have many girlfriends in his life. This is something you're going to have to accept. You can tell that he still wants to be friends with you, and nothing will change between the two of you. He may have to leave you occasionally to be with her, but don't get offended. He doesn't mean it, and wouldn't want to hurt you. If you want, talk to him about your feelings and be sure that he still wants to be friends with you. I hope everything works out! Trust me from experience no matter what if hes your best guy friend even though he has a girlfriend he will be there for you to talk to him and he would be able to help you with your problems.
