WELLLLLL, have you tried calling him and planning anything lately? You should defently try! Ask to just chill like the good times, if he's a real friend, he should be up for it! It's better than doing nothing at all at home anyways.
As for the birthday thing, get a lot of friends and take him to the:
-Park
-Pool
-Movies [Preferrebly what he would like to watch]
-A restaurant! Doesn't have to be anything fancy, but take him somewhere with good dessert, so he can get it for free! ;) Go to a Mexican Restaurant, so they'll give him a sombrerro! Heh.

I'm starting high school this year, I'm curious to know how much pressure there is to drink, smoke, and have sex. I know some of my good friends that have changed alot, but I also know tons of kids that haven't changed a bit! I have strong goals, I don't drink or smoke however I have taken part of sexual activity. Any tips to staying strong in high school? I just finished my sophomore year of highschool, and least to say, there's never been any pressure to do anything. Like you said, if anything, it was the whole if-you-want-to thing. Any of the 'bad' stuff I've done is because I chose to do it, with no pressure from anyone. Just curiousity. But it all depends on who you hangout with. My close group of friends aren't that much into it. I have friends who smoke, drink, have sex but none of them go around like "YOU'RE A WUSS/PRUDE IF YOU DON'T DO THIS." or anything. Movies and shows can show that because there are cases where that happens, but everyone has different experiences in HS. It all just depends.

Go do something simple that can still be cute.
Since you don't want a big-blowout-extravanganza, you can try:
-A simple dinner. Nothing fancy, just a place with good food to get yo munchies on :)
-The park/maybe even a small picnic!
-Watch a movie
-Swimming. Jacuzzi if they have it ;)
Even just stay at someone's house until the fireworks start. As long as ya'll are together the whole day, enjoying each other's company, I don't know anything that can be wrong :)
Just don't forget to bring a camera!! Of course, you're gunna want to savor the memory of your 1year. :)

Alright.. Well, your situation can go both ways. 3 years a damn well long time though, it's obvious you're not ready to leave him. And your relationship must be going very well if he's actually WILLING to tell you the truth, and was crying about it, nonetheless! But honestly.. he's cheated before, and you would've thought he would've learned from his mistake. I can't believe he had the nerve to not control his actions and DO IT AGAIN. But still, he was honest and out about it, which you should really appreciate. I think it's like you said, he loves YOU, but he's still going to be curious about other girls. Maybe he wants to explore a bit, just to make sure he loves YOU. I would ignore hanging out with him for a while though, he needs some kind of punishment. I'd make him apologize with flowers and hot cheetos((Maybe in your case,chocolates but whatever.)) I mean, he can't honestly get off THAT easy, you don't want him to expect it's okay to cheat ever again.
But after you two have cooled off a bit, go to dinner and talk about how it sincerily hurt you and that you really wish he'll never do it again.

Don't get me wrong, I love my mum and she's not a bad parent but...
Well it's just us, and she has barely any friends and no one to vent out anger onto. So when she's feeling angry (Which isn't very often don't worry) she vents it all onto me. She'll yell at me for the littliest things, ground me and send me to my room. If I try to defend myself...she hits me.
She's been angry lately and I'm scared she'll hit me. She's been saying threats like one day she'll grab ahold of my throat and won't stop until I pass out and I'm getting scared to just do anything. I get really apologetic and apologize for the littliest things.
I can't talk her out of it because any word that comes out of my mouth she yells at me and gets even angrier. She seems to think that because she's the adult and I'm the child I don't get an opinion or the right to say something.
What do I do? When I tell my dad he thinks I'm just saying it because Mum and I are in a fight. I don't trust teachers or councillors and I don't want my mum to get into trouble. (link)

I'm really sorry you have to go through that. But you know what you have to do to stop it. You already know talking to your mom isn't going to stop, most abusive parents don't. And EVEN if it's not that often or whatnot, it's NO excuse. No parent should hit their child when they're past the age of spanking. And there's a difference between spanking and actually ABUSING the child. And I know it's hard because it's your own mother.. It's going to be impossibly hard, but you know you HAVE to tell someone and get your mother help. And it can't be your dad if he's in denial himself to believe it. I know this probably isn't the answer you'd like to hear and it's the expected answer, but you know you have to do it. Your mom has no right to do that and you need to get HELP. The threats she's giving you puts you in real danger. You have to take action because there's a big chance that it won't stop if you don't.

Okay, so I'm going into 8th grade after Summer this year, and I want to make new friends. Problem is -- I have one particular friend that makes it hard. Really hard.
Like she'll get really mad whenever she hears I've gotten together or made other plans with other friends (even if it's my cousins!) and insist or invite herself to come with.
But she's friends with this other girl that I'm also friends with, and we were all supposedly close through 7th grade. I've been friends with the girl that makes it hard to make friends (Let's call her A) since halfway through kindergarten!
The thing is, that A thinks we're still BFFs, and no matter how many times I try to tell her, I get the same result. She's like "No I don't!", we get into the occassional fight, then get back together. But this time I don't wanna get back together. I never really did. It's not that she's a bad person or anything... it's just that I can't be friends without her holding me back. I know I must sound really unloyal but I want a new group of friends, and fast! In time for 8th grade.
Luckily -- There's a possibility we won't be going to the same highschool. I'm willing to wait and all, because once I get there it'll be GREAT, but I just don't know what to do. What if we do end up going to the same highschool? Odds are we wouldn't have many classes together anyway.
Evidently I just need new friends, you don't know my past with her... and it's come to light that I really need to tell her. I can't just expect her to know why -- but how do I tell her?
How do I tell her the friendship should be cut off?
How can I branch out for friends in 8th grade?
(I go to a Private School so it's pretty small and not a lot of people, mostly just the same people that think I'm weird I think)

Uhh, well you got to tell your girl that all she's being right is ANNOYING AND CLINGY. Tell her you need some space too, and that you want to make some new friends too. Just tell her the truth and be blunt about it. Don't try to sugarcoat your words and make it seem like you're not serious.
