well i`m a girl, and i personally think girl on top is much better.
when the girls on top she basically controls it, same with the boy when he is on top.
if you've never had sex before i'd suggest starting with the boy on top, it's more standard and easy for your first time.
the girl on top basically the girl does it how she wants it, and the guy on top he basically does it to his liking. you catch my drift.

also if the girl is on top, the guy can last longer because the guy can controll his breathing, which makes him last longer.

It's a different pleasure, in each position. Granted, when the girl is on top she is doing all the work but i find it to feel better, and it feels way better for the guy, with the guy on top, it's just the usual you get pleasure but no as amazing as the girl on top :-D

Technically there is no difference because intercourse is happening either way, but if you want to be technical:
Guy on top: This usually has the guy doing most of the work on the girl.
Girl on top: This usually includes the girl doing most of the work on the boy.
The one on top usually does most of the work by taking control of the intercourse.
