I want to make my mom a cd of old songs for her birthday that is coming up. I thought it would be super neat to get popular songs of the 60s and popular songs of the 70s put onto the cd for her to listen to in the car. I don't listen to 60s music and 70s music so I don't know the popular songs back then. I think my mom would really love to have a cd of 60s and 70s style music for her birthday.

Could someone please list some really popular songs of the 60s and 70s for me so I can put them on a CD for my mom's birthday?

ok so i always go through a lot of different mascaras and eyelash curlers because i always end up having problems with them.

somtimes my eyelashes stick to the curler and then it takes off the mascara or pulls the eyelashes out.
OR it wont curl them.

does anyone know of any eyelash curlers that work really well and how you use them because i dont think im doing it right.

I usually curl my lashes first, then use the mascara. That way, you don't have to worry about the curler taking the mascara off, and it actually seems to work better that way anyway.

For the curler, I use the Sally Beauty brand, and it works good for me. For mascara, I just use N.Y.C. brand curling mascara. It works just as good as other mascaras, without the crazy prices.

As for actually curling your lashes, it helps to use a magnifying mirror, so you can see what you're doing. Just try to get all the lashes in, without getting any skin, and they will curl nicely. :)

i'm 14 years old and COMPLETELY FLAT-CHESTED.
every every every one of my friends and people i know my age has at least started to get boobs and i haven't.
i'm so sick of it.
i'm so flat.
people keep saying it's normal, and that i should just be happy and "everyone develops at different rates."

well it sure doesn't seem normal. everywhere i look EVERYONE my age (unless there's something wrong with them) has boobs. at least a little.

p.s.: i'm small and i haven't started my period yet. does that mean anything?

Look at the facts: You're 14. That is young. You have a lot of time left to develop. Since you haven't gotten your period yet, it just means you could be a late bloomer. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you. :]

However, even though you have a pretty good chance, this does not necessarily mean that you WILL get boobs. I'm 19, started my period at 12, my mom is a C-cup, and I'm still, and most likely will always be, an A-cup.

But whatever happens, you should always just love who you are. I know everyone says that, but what other option do you have?

But, I think that you have a good chance, so don't sweat it. :]

i cant seem to stop getting hurt by this boy. we dated for 2 years and i was in love. the first time he broke up with me it hurt so bad. he did it about 3 times and always came back to me. the last time he broke up with me i tried to make it work for a month and then gave up and tried to move on. about 3 months later he started talking to me again. of course throughout the time we didnt talk i still always thought of him and i still had a ton of feelings for him, i just was trying to get over him and it was working. but when we started talking again he had already gone off to college which is only about an hour from where i live. anyways for about 2 weeks we just texted and stuff until he finally asked me to come down. i said i didnt know if it was a good idea and he told me how he still had feelings and that he thinks he might still love me. so that weekend i went down tehre and it was amazing. he was soo nice, it was the good him the him that i missed, the him that loved me. when i got home that night i texted him and he didnt respond. the next day we didnt talk at all. it was strange because before he would text me everyday. so the day after i called him and he didnt sound like he wanted to talk? when we hung up i just started bawling because ive been through his whole i love you i miss you and then i dont like you thing tooooo many times. and i had this horrible feeling that he was going to let me down again even though he had said it wasnt going to be liek that anymore. but the next day he actually ended up texting me. just saying whats up, but i knew he was thinking about me. but i brought up going down there again adn he said "idk" like wtf does he mean idk? just before he was telilng me he still loved me he still misses me and now he doesnt know if he wants me to see him again?! at that moment i knew he was going to try to play those mind games with me again and my heart just cant take anymore from him..... yesterday i got on facebook and his status said he was coming home 2morrow. it just sunk down my stomach. like are you serious? you're coming down and he didnt even say anything to me? especially when i asked about comeing down ther again sometime.. i just cant do it anymore. i have so many feelings for him but i just feel like.... i deserve better?! what do you guys think?! i actually just like 20 minutse ago deleted him from a friend on facebook, and about 5 minutes later he called me. i didnt answer.. i think i need to just let it go?

I was in almost the exact same position as you. I never actually dated the guy, but came close a few times. He played mind games with me just like that.. "oh i miss you so much, we should get together, blah blah blah..", then a day later, ignore my texts, act standoffish. It went on for almost 4 years, and I got so sick of it. I was in love with him, and I basically let him control my emotions, day after day. I was so hurt and heartbroken. But I finally realized that I deserved better. And so should you.

The best thing you can do is to just cut him out of your life for awhile. Don't talk, don't text, don't instant message.. nothing. He obviously has mixed feelings and doesn't know what he wants. Until he figures that out, there's no reason for you to let him control you like that. After some time, yeah, it's ok to talk to him, but make sure he knows you only want to be friends and nothing more. The second he starts playing games with you again, stop talking to him immediately. You deserve way better, and you'll eventually find a guy who can treat you right. Until then, enjoy being single and live life to the fullest. Don't let anyone bring you down like that anymore.

Now, after going through all that myself, I can proudly say I'm over it, and I've found myself a great guy who treats me right and really loves me. And so will you. :]

My parents are thinking about letting me get the Gardasil shot to prevent cervical cancer, for my health. But I was wondering where they give the injection? Is it on your arm or what? It's kind of a dumb question but the form we got about Gardasil made me think that I would get it somewhere else and i wasn't sure. Please let me know.

They inject it through it your arm. I heard it's a little strange, because you can feel it, since they are basically putting it through your muscle. I've also heard it hurts like a tetanus shot, but it's no where near as bad as an IV, so not to worry. :]

Now, I've never had any beer before, not even a sip -- but I've smelled it, and from what I've smelled I don't think it would taste very good. So I've been wondering lately, why do most people drink beer? Because they like the taste, because they like the effect it has on them, or because they want to fit in? People drink beer for different reasons, just like the people below me said. You're gonna get a whole array of answers. For instance, my dad and boyfriend drink it, because they think it tastes good. My brother drinks it to get drunk and have fun. I personally hate the flavor of beer, and I am more of a liquor fan. Nothing hardcore, but mainly mixed drinks. I drink mainly cause it tastes good and relaxes me. I have social anxiety disorder, so it helps a lot at parties. I don't overdo it though, cause it ruins everything when you end up spending the whole night hugging the toilet. Been there, done that, no fun. :-P

It is completely normal to have discharge, and some girls have more than others. There's not a whole lot you can do, but pantiliners are a wonderful thing if you don't want it all over your undies. If you think you're getting way too much or there is a problem, then go see a gynocologist. :]

ok so im a sophomore in high school now, wanting to join band. I'm now taking lessons for clarinet, and I'm going to band camp next summer, hopefully =] b/c im going to join marching band next year. I just dont know like any of the cheers or how to march!
any suggestions how how to get me started?

Yay! I was in the marching band in high school. :]

My suggestion for you is to find the band director and ask if he can give you the sheet music for all the pep songs, so you can practice, and be good at them for next year, if you still want to join.

And as for the marching, they will most likely teach how to do that during band camp. I'm not sure how your school runs the band program, but for mine, we had Wed. nite practices all through summer, and that was when the freshman and new members learned to march. If your school doesn't do that, then it's very likely you'll learn during band camp, because the new members have to learn somehow.

Marching in my opinion was pretty easy, but that's just me. It does takes a lot of discipline, just FYI. It is A LOT of fun though, and a great way to make new friends. Anyway, good luck, and if you have any more questions, just ask, I was in the marching band all 4 years in high school. :]
