where do they inject the gardasil shot?

Question Posted Monday October 6 2008, 6:07 pm

My parents are thinking about letting me get the Gardasil shot to prevent cervical cancer, for my health. But I was wondering where they give the injection? Is it on your arm or what? It's kind of a dumb question but the form we got about Gardasil made me think that I would get it somewhere else and i wasn't sure. Please let me know.

I've had the shots. Nothing bad, you can basically feel the fluid in your arm, and then your arm is a bit funny(it goes in your arm :D)
But it depends. My friend said hers hurt like hell, but she says that about all injections.
To me, it felt like any other injection :)
Good luck!

Good decision. :]

They inject it through it your arm. I heard it's a little strange, because you can feel it, since they are basically putting it through your muscle. I've also heard it hurts like a tetanus shot, but it's no where near as bad as an IV, so not to worry. :]

Don't worry. It's in your arm. It does hurt more than most shots though. You can feel the fluid run through your body. I strongly consider this shot though. It helps so much in life. Good luck. =]
