Hey all! I'm 15, almost 16 *August 5th* and I go to Utica High School. It's a decent school, but living in Michigan is a downer seeing as we have the most sporadict weather ever. But, I still love it. I wouldn't move if I had the chance. =) Anywho, I love Forensics, It's my biggest hobby I probably have. And no, it isn't CSI or any of that stuff, it's Competitive Speech, but not like debate. I do the drama portion of it. Haha. I also love to sing. It's my dream to grow up and sing for a band for be solo, far fetched, but I can dream dammit! I like anybody who can make me laugh, and hate people who are 'stuck up' and 'serious' all the time. People need to learn to let loose, you know? I'm also a Christian, because God is effin' cool. He's cooler than you, remember that. Also, highschoolers really need to remember : "Save yourself for the one God saved for you." There are so many sluts in my school, it isn't even funny. Rather sad if you ask me. Other than that, I'm a pretty normal teen.

I've had my period since i was 10. meaning it should be on a regular cycle by now. DONT TELL ME THAT ITS NORMAL, because i've had it for five years. and just this year it started becoming irregular. like i'd get it every 21 days, sometimes 19 days and sometimes every 2 WEEKS. i get it way too soon. well my mom asked her gyno and he said well thats normal for it to be irregular but if it gets worse we can do something about it.

so my question is, i heard they put you on birth control? fine. but why birth control? what does birth control do. because i'm a catholic and i kind of dont believe in birth control but i guess if it's needed for my period then its okay. someone explain what birth control does.

Simple, it controls birth. It controls the penis from pushing up agianst the wall of your vagina and causing blood flow. In this case, it will slow your period down.

I feel like my life is just so useless, like there is nothing good going on for me. I'm always crying. I feel like I cry everyday. I've felt this way for a while, and I know I'm depressed. Now it has come to the point where I am depressed with being depressed. I don't know what to do to feel better.

I know this will sound really cliche, but what you should do is try to take a optimistic outlook on things rather than pesimistic. For example, you have 2 scoops of icecream. You eat one. You should think "Yay I have a whole nother scoop left!" rather than "Oh...only one more left!"

Just try to think more postive. I'm sure things arn't as bad as you percive them. Hang out with friends, have fun, pig out till you puke! Prank phonecalls! Lol, do anything that'll make you smile and laugh!

For example, here is a random yet funny story.

I had this little yellow rubber duck named Yeller, and he always sat in the tub with me, one day I went to get some shampoo and I through Yeller out of the tub, when I came back, he was in the tub agian, like glaring at me. So i'm like..what the hell! So I throw Yeller out and got dressed. When I went to my room to go to bed, Yeller was sitting dead center on my bed! I chucked him out the window, and when I woke up, he was on my tummy. I screamed and torched the duck. I put him in a cup, them melted wax about 2 inches thick over the melted duck. I stuch a wick in it, and now I have a perverted twisted rubber duckie candle!

ok, my boyfriend of 3 years wants to go into the army for about 4 or 5 years. i was just wondering, is there any chance of him getting hurt,dying,etc? b/c if there is..i cant let him go. please help me. ill rate high.

Of course there is a chance of him getting hurt. But you can't force him to say. He WANTS to go, don't you think it'll be selfish to make him stay back just because you want him to?

I met this guy through a friend. We all hung out one day and it was really fun. I got his screen-name and we talked online and I thought he was so cool. Then we got to hang out again at the mall and I found out that him and my friend are dating. I was happy for them but kinda bummed because I was starting to like him. Then my friend's parents said they could not go out because he wasint white. So their broken up, but still really good friends. My friend said I could try to go out with him since she knows I like him. I might try and go out with this guy. Thing is, I have no clue if he likes me. He says I'm pretty and he says I'm funny. I just dont know if he likes me more on a boyfriend-girlfriend level. Should I keep talking to him, and wait till he says something? Or should I just be like "I like you!" I'm confused on what I should do because I've never have wanted to go out with a guy. Sure I've had crushes, but go out with them..nope! Oh yeah, he still likes my friend. Well, try to get to know him better before you make your move. Keep hanging out, if he likes you and you like him, the joining of both of you would be brought to you naturaly.

Hey, i'm a freshmen, and i'm looking to join in the best buddies program. i'm just wondering if theres anyone out there who've done this program before, and if its any good, if you have any tips on it because i've never worked with kids with intellectual disabilties before. i'm really excited about it, but i'm also kind of nervous. Any tips?

When I was a freshman, I was in a program very simalar to yours. Mine was called S.T.A.N.D. (Students taking a new direction) Anyways, we worked with children who had mental disabilities, and children who had trouble learning, the best thing you can do is always smile, and be understaning. They're not like you, do you just have to be kind and smile and just be very joyus and happy. They love it when you compliment them "Your shirt is SO cute!!" "Going trick-or-treating?" "Awww! You look so cute today!" You know what I mean? Just be understanding of there situation and make sure, facial expressions are key, if you walk in the room and get a susprised look on your face, they're not going to feel very well about themselves.

What you're going to have to do, is gain your mothers trust. Tell her that its unfair she shoos away every good catch for you.

Tell her you don't apprietate her downing your good decisions, and that you'll make good choices when it comes to guys.

She probably just wishes to protect you from messing up with guys, or getting into hard situations that maybe she couldn't handle when she was your age.

Remember, be respectful. I'm sure she isn't 'doing this' because she hates you, or to be a bitch. She is probably trying to protect you.

Communication is key, talk to her. Let her know that you'll never be able to grow, without learning from mistakes, and one of these days you're going to make some, weither she can help it or not.

Well I have been quite puzzled about this lately....when you're taking the pill, do you have to use a condom to help prevent pregnancy? I have this gut feeling that my brother is gay. I really believe that he is. I don't have a problem with it or anything because I love gay people. His best friend is bisexual even though he won't admit it. He's kissed guys in the back of school and I've seen him and he also kisses girls. So I pretty much know he's bi. So getting back to my brother, I just really think that he's gay! I swear it's like i have gay-dar or something like that, he's always staring at my boyfriend when he comes over, when he has his friends over, they are in his room for like 2 freakin hours WITH THE DOOR LOCKED and if he hears me walking up to the door he yells at me. I mean come on, he's never had a girlfriend and he always says he doesn't want one and that he'd never get married. He says, and I will quote, "Girls are a waste of my time." When I told some of my friends that I thought he was gay, they all responded with "I always knew something was up with your brother." Or something along those lines. Even guys that barely know my brother say that he's gay. My only worry is that my dad is homophobic, and my mom said that she'd be really upset if she found out that he was gay even though she has gay friends. How do I tell my mom of my suspicions? If it's true how would my dad react in the future when he comes out? How can I deal with this??

You shouldn't 'deal' with it at all. Your brothers sexual prefernce dosn't really concern you, and it might end bad if you go shouting to the whole family that you think he is homosexual.

Best thing to do is have a nice talk with him of your suspitions. Don't blab to your parents untill you know the facts, because he could be really pissed at you if you do, and no one wants that.

Respect his privacy and talk to him. It'll all work out.

Eer..3. It hardly hurts at all, to be honest. You feel it for about a secound, and then it'll get a tad bit sore. Nothing to worry about. Double piercings' are cool, go for it!

And there is this guy at my church. He is soo funny and he's a really good Christian, which is very important for me, and he has an awesome personality and is very fun to be around. The only problem is, he is really small. He is like 1/2 a foot shorter than me and weighs about 30 lbs less. Beside all this, I really like him a lot because of the inside, which is really what counts, but I'm afraid of what my friends would say if we dated. Because well, I've been known for going for the good-looking guys. So what should I do?

Sometimes someone who is 'tall' isn't messured in inches, if you know what I mean.

i dont know what to put this under .. but my back is KILLING me .. its like my upper back and idk it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back its all along my shoulders ..

I don't understand what the actuall question is...are you wondering what the pain in your back is?

You probably pulled a muscle. Totally normal. On any teams at school, perhaps? Or maybe you've been sleeping in an odd position.

Go an see your local chiropractor and have it checked out. Since it is 'KILLING' you, it could be something more. Have it checked out.
