I was wondering about Planned Parenthood. I know that you can go there and get condoms, birth control, morning-after-pill, etc. but I had a few questions. Can you just go in there and get condoms or do you have to like sit down and talk with a few people there with them asking you questions and saying make sure you're safe and ready, etc? Also, if you go there to get birth control, do they have to give you an exam "down there" or what all do they do? Plus, they don't tell your parents about it.. do they? I heard they were completly confidental. I'm just curious!! I rate high. (link)

ok i went with my freind just last month. you are completely anonomous to them. they will not tel lyour parents anything unless it is serious or life threatening. for condoms you dont really have to talk with anyone, just go in and say that you need to buy some condoms. here in ohio they are 12 for 2 dollars...(i got some from there...and they gave me colored ones...really fun!) and for the birth control, it is affordable and everythign. you have to get a pap smear yes. for the birth control. just for condoms no questions asked...at least here...but for hte pills or some thing like that, yes you have to get an exam and yes they will ask you some questions. mostly things like "how many guys have you slept wiht" "have you had an std test" "has your partner had an std test" "is this guy the only one you are currently sleeping with" things like that. they wont ask any names of guys or anything like that at all. good luck and drop me a line if you need mroe info.

i dont know what to say or how to explain it really. im just simply, unhappy. i used to be happy, i dont know what happened. everything just feels so useless and people just suck. no one cares about anyone but themselves and i feel like im at a loss and i always find me second guessing myself. whats wrong with me? how can i be happy again? i say put your name on it. what have you got to lose? he might feel the same way back. besides if he is moving and he doesnt feel the same, how will you ever have to face him again? i say go for it and let hte guy know how you feel! if you never take a chance or a risk and you play it safe all your life, then what will your life amount to? (not being rude) if you dont take the chance, you might find yourself a few weeks or months or years from now wondering why you didnt take the risk. beisdes, you gotta give a lil bit to recieve a lil bit. good luck and lemme know how it goes ok!

you will know when you hear it from your heart. don;t hear it from your head, b.c to quote a wise freind "listen to your heart over your head. because your heart knows whats best and your head will just try to screw you over". i remember this at all times. it is different for different people on how they know they are in love or what love is. what i CAN tell you though is that you will know. it will hit you like a ton of bricks! you will know when you are truely in love. you will feel it in your heart and soul. hte way things were for me when i realised i am in love with my fiance, was everytime i heard his voice all i could do was smile, when i saw his face, all i could do was smile, when he held me close, all i could do was smile. all i could think about was spending my life with him. that is how I knew. you will know differently. just listen to your heart ok gurl? drop me a line in my inbox if you need more help.

ok girl, nothing will be perfect there will always be things out of your control that will try and mess things up. if things do mess up, say you trip and fall or bump into some one...laugh it off! just don't freak out and stuff b/c if you come across as if you are trying too hard, it might freak him out. just trust me on this one and don;t worry. if he likes you (as i suspect he does) he wont be upset if things out of both of your control mess things up. you need to take a deep breath and CALM DOWN! freaking out like that is not gonna make things any better trust me! best of luck and drop me one in my inbox if you need more help!

I like this guy named Zack. He's been acting like my boyfriend for quite while but he never asked me out. I really felt that he liked me the same way I like him. girl, get over it! he is a jerk and there is no need to waste your time on such a boy! you need a real true man. one who knows how to treat a woman properly! one who understands you! one who loves you! listen to me, if he is gonna act like such an asshole (pardon my language) then he is not worth your time. just tell yourself that you dont like him, that you dont love him. trust me, the more you tell it to yourself hte more it will become true in your mind and in your heart. maybe you need to take some time to meditate. take a warm bubble bath and play soft music (like relaxing classical music) and turn out hte lights and light some candles in the bathroom. then put all thoughts out of your head and just chill. thoughts should come to your head about him, at which point YOU have to cast him out of your life, heart, and mind. but trust me girl, get past him, get over him, get a new man! well you should go formal...maybe semi-formal depending on your school. check out debs, they have GREAT plus size dresses. i got my prom and homecoming dress my senior year there. my prom dress was $100 and my homecoming dress was $40. so they are relativly well priced. the site is i believe www.debstores.com or www.debshops.com i dont really reemmber but Debs is the best place i can tell you to go! good luck and lemme know if you find hte perfect dress!

tell your parents what is going on. they can either report it as harassment (but only if you have asked him to stop already) or they can change hte phoen number. or what they can do is talk to their phone company and have the number he is calling from blocked

ok what you need to do is this. Go to a therapist. i have seen many many freinds through cutting themselves. MANY freinds. so what you need to do is this, go to a therapist. they will figure out why you are cutting. then they will suggest a way to stop the cutting. you will probably go to a hopsital for a while or a mental institue (my one freind was in there for 2 weeks but she hasnt cut since) they may put you on anti-depressents to stop some of the depressed feelings that cause you to cut. but the best advice i can give you is go to a professional. if your too afraid go to your best freind and ask them to go to your parents for you. i have helped many through this kind of stuff and i hope it works out for you.

I know this might not make a lot of sense, but I'm on birth control and I can't seem to find the information packet that came with it. I was wondering..are there certain pills in the pack that have higher doses of ingredients that prevent pregnancy. For instance, is there a certain color set of pills that are more effective than the others? (By the way I'm on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo if that makes any difference.) (link)

there are hte pills for the days you arent on your period which contain the hormones and there are 5 pills that are just like sugar or soemthing. no hormones no nothing. those are hte ones you take during your period as a "filler" so to say just so that you are taking pills and dont go a week with outtaking any.

Okay so i need help with my hair. It's naturally wavy and very full. It's also EXTREMELY frizzy. Now, normally I straighten my hair, but its getting harder. You see, I am overweight and need to lose weight. And the only way to do this of course if to eat right and excersize. Well i dont like to excersize cuz when I do, I sweat..alot and working out everynight will make my hair smell by mid-week. So here's my dilema, I dont like to wash my hair, simply because of the fact that once I wash it, and it dries..its like "HOLY *****" and straightening it is WORSE! my hair always looks terrible when I straighten it for the first time since washing my hair. Is there anyway this can be helped? I'm sick of having Frizzy hair. (link)

my suggestion...chemical straightening. my freind had hair like yours and got it chemically straightened and it looked awesome. look into it.

I'm 13/f in the 7th grade
For a while, I've been having a real hard time paying attention. I get really bored easily, and I fidget a lot, I'm really slow (physically), and I get lethargic a lot. and I'm VERRRY disorganized. My school learning specialist said that there's a possibility of me having ADHD. but when I was little, I was always full of energy. Usually ADHD shows up in kids when they're little. Does my case sound like ADHD???

girl, i feel ya. i have had ADHD since i was 3, and im 18 now. took me until 2 years ago to get help. so listen to me i understand. i could not do my homework without like 50 million breaks nad stuff, i spaced out and all sorts of things. it is very hard to live with ADHD. ppl who dont have it dont understand. our brains are different. what you need to do is get diagnosed by a doctor or psycologist. if it is bad and you want you can get on meds for it. i take Strattera, and it works miracles. trust me. go get checked out. the sooner you fix the problem, the better. trust me i didnt get help until the middle of my junior year, and i wish i would have earlier. good luck and let me know how it goes ok?

FOr hoemcoming I want to get my nails done. I bite my nails and they are short n stubby n ugly ( i kno i know, terrible habbit) Which would be better? acrylic tips or full acrylics? any advice on either of them or which one i should get? thanks

ok i have had acrylics twice. (graduation and senior pix) but go full acrylics. even if your nails are bit to death, they will still be able to put them on. but dont takethem off yourself, hurts like hell trust me. depends where you go, typically 30-40 dollars depending on things. good luck!

Okay, I have this problem with talking about bodily functions. I know that guys aren't very afraid to talk about farting, or burping, or even going #2. Guys always fart, and burp in front of people and it doesn't even phase them! Some girls that I know are like this too. But me, I would never be able to fart in front of anyone, or tell someone I had to go #2, I think that is just wrong. Is anyone else too shy, or afraid to do this in front of people. How can I open up more, and not be embarrassed if I burp in front of a guy? and WHY are guys like this? It bothers me when my b/f is always like.."i have to take a sh*t!" Like I wanted to know that! lol. i can totally relate. i used to be like you. now i am so open its hilarious. like i just blurt out "i gotta fart" or something random. you see how it started for me was my boyfreind belched and i went "i can do better" and blew him away with mine. but you see you gotta not be afraid to be yourself. you gotta loosen up to some one. if you are not loosened up with them, how can they be loosened up with you. girl, basically juss let it rip! lol

put things together. like a black dress and a black veil...BOOM gothic bride. or a skimpy outfit with a cow boy hat...BOOM southern hooker (lol) you just have to create something. use your imagination. like take any kind of person and add a bit of blood and makeup and you got a dead or zombie version. that is what i do. good luck!

it depends on your responsibility level. the more responsible and trustworthy you are, the sooner you could babysit. i wasnt alllowed to babysit til i was 15. but i know ppl at ages like 12 who babysit. it all depends on who you are babysitting for and how mature you are. good luck and enjoy yourself!

i use this stuff, it is AWESOME! i wore it while walking for 4 hours in the rain and it didnt run or anything! its estee lauder. one tube has lasted me about a year and it is like 10 bucks a piece i think...but it works MIRACLES!!! lol. good luck and i hope you find a good one
