HectorJr answered Friday September 30 2005, 5:06 pm: As the answer before me, that would be a reasonable age. Personally I can't pinpoint what a good age to 'babysit' is. I was left to take care after my two younger siblings at 10, which is around the same time I also began to take care of my newborn brother. Is 10 a good age? Probably not, but being 16 doesn't guarantee maturity and responsibility either... But I guess a good range would be 13 and on, depending on how much experience you have with younger siblings or other babysitting. Hope that helped and good luck. Curemysadness answered Friday September 30 2005, 3:50 pm: It depends on a few things. You have to be atleast somewhat mature to babysit. I mean you are responsible for more than your own life when you babysit. It may seem like an easy job to do, but what is something happens? What if the kid starts to choke on something, or falls down and gets hurt. There are so many things that could happen while you are babysitting and you will be held responsible. So you have to know how to react in situations like those! It also depends on how many children you are babysitting. One or two might be easy for a 14 year old, but three-five might be a little more difficult. I would say a good age to start babysitting (if you are mature enough) is like 14-16! Good luck! MrsStevenMarkJones answered Friday September 30 2005, 1:30 pm: it depends on your responsibility level. the more responsible and trustworthy you are, the sooner you could babysit. i wasnt alllowed to babysit til i was 15. but i know ppl at ages like 12 who babysit. it all depends on who you are babysitting for and how mature you are. good luck and enjoy yourself!
FireFairy141 answered Friday September 30 2005, 11:31 am: Hey,
Well, I started babysitting when I turned 14. But first I went out and got a babysitting degree. If you get one of those, people really don't care how old you are, because they know that your responsible and know CPR and stuff like that.
